Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 305 Del Dr, Farmingdale, NY

The manager Payton was very helpful and and told me everything I needed to know about what I needed to do in order to rent out a unit he was very polite and helped me through the processes

During my experience at public storage I was attended by a nice young man by the name of Peyton he was real helpful in explaining the process of renting and showed me all the available options I had with my stay at the company I found this to be one of the best customer service attendances in a rental storage facility yet.

I am a new customer to public storage and Payton was very helpful and knowledgeable even though he told me he was only here for 3 months. My storage unit was clean. The only thing I did not like was the mobile app but that was about.

Payton was a great customer service representative. Was kind and gave me details on my pay and storage status.

I had my whole apartment furniture I mean everything I complained about that one of the bars in the top of my storage unit was missing and anyone could take anything out from that space I complained in the beginning of the summer 2023 i just took everything out and they never did anything all they said was if anything was missing to do a claim or move out to another storage unit I told them why can they just put the missing bar in never did it , the boys there were very friendly and always on a good mood I can’t say the same about the 2 ladies one of them is very rude and the other one food is the most important thing because every time I was there she was eating and not even taking a little bit attention to what you said.

Reggie, service was out standing, very informative.. I recommend this place.

The first time I rented it was fine in the first building BUT the more recent storage was horrible. Items water damaged, bird doo doo on my stuff, rust marks from water leaking, items came out smelling musty. Spoke to someone who said they had a mouse issue. My expensive rugs and cushion were not salvageable. And they took a 4x increase in less then two years.

Reginald and Zack have been terrific at helping me transition from home to home. They were knowledgeable about the facility and answered all my questions and concerns. I would recommend this location definitely!

I highly recommend this location. The service is excellent and the staff is exceptional. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Staff member Reginald Ruiz was of great assistance to me. I fell in front of the location. I couldn’t get up and he ran to me and helped me up. He waited with me by my vehicle until I got my bearings. It was of great help and comfort to me a senior citizen.

YOUR VALUABLES ARE NOT SAFE HERE! I used to love this location. But over the past year, they changed staff and it began to go downhill. Apparently, someone broke into one of their customer's units and stole their items. In the past year, they became very strict about everyone leaving before 9 pm to the point where someone will call you if you overstay by even one second. I fully understand why they enforce these rules, but it's easy to notice why. The facility only has cameras on the elevators and none in the hallways where their customers' units are located. Because of this, I do not trust the security here and feel that Public Storage does not do enough to protect the belongings of their customers.

This place is great. They are very fair with pricing. Melissa does an amazing job making sure the facility is clean and secured properly. I have been renting my 10x20 unit since 2021. I am at this facility every day and there hasn’t been a time during business working hours that I don’t see Melissa walking around the building just to check in and making sure everything is good. There has also been 3 occasions where Melissa called me saying that my unit was locked correctly. Keep up the great work.

It was supposed to be climate control, and that's what I paid extra for. All my clothes and furniture are Ruin. Most I had too throughout some, i washed three times and still smells like mold. I can't even put it in my closet because of the smell. It's in the garage. I paid extra for the insurance, this should be fun.

Melissa and Alex are first rate professionals. They go above and beyond to facilitate the process.

This is the most disgusting place. They lie when they say they want to help you. I lost over $5000 in merchandise and no one even reaches out to help me. My storage unit consisted of clothes and furniture, no food. My unit was destroyed by mice. Besides droppings and urine staining the clothes, the mice burrowed holes into my leather sofas and futon, making nests. Insurance is useless as it will only give me $300 and does not include rodent damage. Had I known they had a rodent infestation, I would've never used this facility, obviously. Attached in the photos you will see a dead mouse, droppings all over the storage unit, droppings inside the sofa, the futon ripped open and material taken out for nesting, scratches made on the leather sofa, the opening under one of the leather sofas where the mice entered, made a home, pooped and urinated all over. In the hanging shirt picture you can see the paper was eaten, flakes on the shirts, and in the other picture you can see one of the many nests at the bottom of the box once the shirts were removed. There were multiple mice nests including inside the tv stand, which I have a video of but it will not upload. I have provided Public Storage with receipts of my items, but they won't cover anything. The insurance only covers $150/unit, giving me $300 for TWO storage units infested with rodents. Obviously, this isn't a unique situation given the fact that two units had a rodent problem and I am sure there are many more. The managers were inaccessible and would not return phone calls. I had to be relentless and call and email until I got in touch with someone. Once I got in touch, they said they were going to replace and compensate me for my damages, but I have been waiting since May to be compensated and have not heard from them since May. I have called, left messages, and emails, and no one will help me. Avoid this place at all costs.

Every time I go here to try and rent a storage unit, there’s no one inside and the door to the rental office is locked. Call the number on the door and they say the property manager is probably showing someone the property and that’s why it’s locked. How funny that every time I come by, that seems to be the case.

Amazing benefits to say the least of my initial experience to get a storage unit without hassles. Meredith acted in a professional manner especially assisting me to get my storage unit. As it was a very simple easy process, enjoyed! Also the other reps Melissa and Heather were quite approachable and we're great above and beyond with customer service showing me how to access my unit and making sure. That I have continued customer service help if needed, that's like icing on a cake gotta love places that appreciate the customer client!

All i can say is Melissa Melissa Melissa!!!!!! She's the best. This place has quality service and questions are always answered. Highly recomended

Carts aren't available after office hours and elevators don't work even when using the code to activate them. Also no doorstoppers in the off chance you need to use both hands to lift whatever you're moving.

Horrible customer service you can call n call n call n no one everrrrrrrrr picks up... The prompts say leave a message n someone will get back to you I left three message n still waiting for a call back...

Horrible Experience. This company are thieves. Always paid even if at times could be late but they always received payment. One month passed that we didn't pay than they say all our belongings are no longer their with out in advance notice. They say they have a Spanish interpretor which we asked in the beggining of signing on and moving in. So why couldn't they get a Spanish speaking person reach out and speak with the person of the lease about canceling our agreement if they have her phone number. We could have made a better payment plan. Slowly take our things out while they would always receive payment. My stuff was definitely worth more than a month or 2. If they were gonna not have my stuff after more than half of year paying than what were all those payments for That is careless of the company to not give a good communicated notice to a customer going thru hardship at the end of the pandemic. While we still tryna find the correct home . I thought this company was better but I guess not. Now I will never trust nore refer anyone to this company ever again. Worst life experience ever.

It is very clean!! Don’t stay very long!! I have been with them for 25 years and the longer you are there your price for renting goes up. Started at a low price now it is up to a car payment. Don’t have any storage where I am renting. So disappointed in them. Can’t even use their dumpster to get rid of garbage. Have to take it with you!! No bathroom service. They have them there can’t use them. Just so crazy to me.

In all my years, I have never seen such gross incompetence. The employees, the property manager, and the district manager are completely inept and incapable of their jobs. From managing to ruin my moving plans costing me hundreds of dollars in fees, to relocating my account to another facility thousands of miles away, to the pompous arrogant and rude attitudes, you really couldn't find a more unprofessional organization to safeguard your families valuables. To make matters worse, the facility is in complete disappear and disarray. Covered in Dirt, Trash and Germs. So Much for their claims of "sanitizing daily". Unfortunately for me, I am moving cross country in less than a week, and couldn't move everything across the street, on short notice, otherwise, I would have. STEER CLEAR AND AVOID!

Half the time you try to go to office to get key for cart.....door locked and no answer.....person prob sleeping in back.... all bathrooms always out of order.... do not rent from this place.... find another

Now I don’t even do reviews often unless it’s absolutely called for. But This Farmingdale, NY (Del Drive) Public Storage is the Best in the area. It’s the Cleanest, Most Professional, with the best Customer Service. Moving is hard as is , but it has been the easiest Transition using this public storage. Ask for Melissa, I was greeted as soon as I pulled in and she made sure i had all i need moving into my unit. I would Highly recommend this location.
