It was only move in day but LOVED the atmosphere. Super convenient location. TIM was super helpful and informative, helping my fiance with the apps and how to use them. Been here for a month now and the experience has been absolutely great.
Starting from the first day, Tim was a gracious host and personally took me around the property and explained how everything worked. He was patient in showing me different size units until I landed in one that I really liked. He explained to me his upkeep/maintenance schedule of the property and I was very impressed by his dedication. As we were leaving, he made sure that my phone app was set up properly to function as a means of getting in.
Over the last month I have been able to get historical data of the temperature for the climate controlled units, and I am happy to say that the temperature is maintained very well.
I am very satisfied with my experience so far and would recommend renting units at this property.

After 3 years of procrastinating, I finally told myself that it was time that I find a closer storage location to my home in Santa Clara. Within minutes, after reserving a unit at the Public Storage location at 1955 Lafayette, I got a phone call from Tim. I was amazed, because I felt as though I just hit the reserve button. Tim was extremely courteous and beyond helpful. It was a pleasure to talk to him, especially after just informing my previous Public Storage location that I was moving out. The contrast between the two personalities were polar opposites. Upon arriving, I found this Public Storage location to be well kept and clean! In addition, I appreciated the fact that several carts were available to help me move my items to my unit. That wasn’t the case at my last location. Overall, I felt a sense of calmness and relief, which doesn’t always happen when you’re moving. Thank you Tim, for going above and beyond.
Exceptional all around! The property manager Tim was so helpful and nice. I’ve not had this great of a customer experience in a very very long time. The storage facility is super clean and organized. It is also conveniently located and easy to use. I signed up online for my storage space and the next day was able to put everything in the unit. Tim was thorough and helpful in how to use the app, how to access the facility and walked us through the whole process, including walking us up to our unit. Highly recommend this place!!

I came to pay my monthly June payment for my storage unit.
Jennifer assisted me with my payment and then she assisted me with installing the Public Storage mobile app so I can has access to my space unit located on Felipe Rd.
Jennifer also provided me with information regarding missing key to my lock pad and noting my account with that information.
Jennifer was was cordial and very pleasant.
Jennifer helped me tremendous with my rent!

Renting at this facility has been such an efficient and relieving experience. Tim, the property manager, is a knowledgeable and proactive support for moving in, making decisions, and ensuring the facility exceeds standards of cleanliness and security. All of my questions are answered immediately and he has been generous in helping to provide much needed dollies. Having an on site manager while I navigate my move has made the process so much less stressful. His positive attitude and honesty really make a difference. I have felt informed and respectfully led to the best option for storing my stuff. The price is competitive and even being on the third floor has been a decently easy move with the carts and elevator space. I will definitely stay here as long as needed and would come back when another need arises.

Stopped in to see my storage unit after a year (I’m sure I’m not the only one who visits their storage unit infrequently). Things have changed as far as access and, of course, I couldn’t find my key. Never fear, Jennifer the assistant property manager was here to save the day. She was about to go on her lunch break but helped me gain access into the facility by patiently helping me get reacquainted with the online app & access process. Then she quickly made arrangements for a new lock to be installed. Lifesaver! I’ve had nothing but great experiences at this location thanks to the great service provided by Tim & Jennifer over the years.

I'd been a long time (many years) customer of this facility. It's always clean, the staff is always friendly. I never have any problems. Anyway, I got an itch to look around and see what storage alternatives were, and I also needed to get a new lock (I'd lost a key, and most locksmiths can't duplicate them.). So anyway, I swing by talk to Tim at the front desk, explain I'm looking for a new lock and wondering if Public Storage can do anything about my rate (it was a little higher than the competition). Tim was more than happy to get me a new lock and he said he'd take a look at my account. Since I'd been a long time customer he said he could give me a good discount for a while, I was excited! I want to thank Tim so much for helping me out with my account, Thank you!
Tim the manager is great! We had a problem with our autopay because our credit card had to be replaced (someone decided to go to the Superbowl on our credit card and it wasn't us). I had forgotten to update our account with the new card until Tim called us with plenty of advanced notice to get that corrected before the payment was due. He was exceptionally helpful, which was not a surprise because he has been every time we have been there. The facility is good, and Tim makes it great.

I am revising my review of this Pubic Storage facility at 1955 Lafayette St, all based on a highly invasive and disturbing personal experience I suffered at this PS facility. On Jan 6 last year, I received a voicemail from the onsite manager about a "very serious incident....very unfortunate..." who then asked me to visit the location as soon as I could. I went over right away, and observed that my storage unit, together with a number of others, were broken into, with many stored items taken away. Along the isles, I met and talked with other people who were roaming thru their storage units looking for lost items. The manager gave me the option to call the police and file an incident/theft report. Took a few hours, but I finally did, and in the process, identified several valuable items that were taken from my storage space. In life, material items come and go. In this ordeal, what was highly disturbing wasn't so much the loss of my valuable personal items; it was the appalling and awful approach of the managers I interfaced with and the attitude toward what had happened to me at their "highly secure" facility. First off, I learned from the onsite manager that the facility was broken into once before only six nights earlier - and no-one in the management chain, starting with the onsite manager, bothered to inform me as one of their tenants. Second, from a safety and security perspective, what happened on Jan 1 and Jan 6 last year was 180-degrees contrary to the "safety & security" picture the onsite manager painted for me before I signed the lease agreement and gave PS my business. At the time, he lauded the highly acclaimed safety and security features of this site (doors, layers, sensors, security cameras, lock-in & lock-out features, etc.), that no-one could possibly break into. Well, apparently it took only a few short minutes for the people who broke into this facility to not just break in, but to have sufficient time on their hands to break the locks on several storage units, be selective about what they wanted to take with them (they had the time to go thru several of my taped-up boxes!!), and according to the onsite manager, leaving a few items behind in the hallways and the front parking lot that they just didn't much care for!! :-) :-) When I escalated the situation to the PS regional/field manager overlooking this facility, I got a call back on Jan 12 (6 days after the incident) with a voicemail. When he and I finally connected, the conversation basically boiled down to: ....we're sorry, it's unfortunate, there's nothing we can do about it, talk with your insurance company. Interestingly, on the day of the incident when I went onsite to check out my unit, among other assertions, the onsite manager said: ....often times, renters are happy that their unit is broken into, since they don't really care for some of the items they store, and can take a claim to their insurance company for compensation!! What happened to me at 1955 Lafayette Street in Jan 2023, I don't wish on anyone. Moreover, in situations like this, a shred of empathy and taking ownership for the issue at hand goes a long ways in the eyes of the customer. Last but not least, if you're not secure, don't claim that you are.

My mind changed when Tim took over as the new manager! He made so many changes to this public storage when it came to security. I feel my things are in far better hands since he’s been here! I have a lot of experience with securing self storage with many of the different storage companies in the Santa Clara area; some experiences good and some just out right the worst. When I arrived at the storage location the manager Tim was there to greet me and give me a personal tour he gave me a short lesson/tutorial on the public storage app made sure my storage unit door and lock was working properly and that I knew how to work everything.
The facility who was extremely well maintained due to the personal ownership of Tim and site manager and the pride he takes in providing a clean safe storage solution to his customers.
When Tim tells you if you have any concerns or issues or questions to come let him know, so he can address it immediately he sincerely means it.
It was really enjoyable to see somebody take pride in their job ownership of their environment and commitment to their customers.

I was planning to move to a bigger unit space and wasn't sure if there was one available. Tim was always a key to the smooth process despite the busy weekend and still showed me one unit space, and I decided to take it right away. The transfer was so easy and just moved my locks to the new one. He's always above and beyond in what he does because even if it was time for him to go home he still took care of another lady. What a great multitasking skill and customer service he has . INDEED a valuable asset to this company.
I went here to pick up my Mom's new key since they updated the locks but the Prop Mgr. Tim said I can't give you the new keys unless the person in the account is here with you even if I had my Mom's ID and I was willing to call her he said come back tomorrow. I understand he was doing his job protecting the property in case it's an unauthorized entry. While in the office he made me download the PS APP and WOW! I'm impressed it's pretty easy, the next day I came with my Mom he even apologized for not giving me the key day before. Very professional guy just doing his awesome customer service. He personally showed us how to use the new system it was contactless entry and more secure. Thanks TIM!

This is a fantastic storage place with an awesome property manager.
I moved my stuff to this branch after the Cupertino one closed for refurbishment, forcing us to move. We were frustrated and initially considered it an inconvenience but it turned out to be really great in the long run.
The storage is climate controlled and immaculately maintained. As soon as we entered the property, the manager Tim greeted us with a big smile and walked us through the whole process. He helped me install the app, showed us how to use it to open the doors and elevators, and accompanied us all the way to our storage. The storage itself was spotless and smelled crisp clean.
We have since visited the storage multiple times and have found the place clean, well-lit, well-maintained, and the staff, especially Tim, always greeting us with a big genuine smile, calling us by our names, and always there to help. I don't usually write reviews but with this level of service and hospitality, I had to. Highly recommended.

Outstanding Customer Service! Tim the general manager of the Lafayette storage in Santa Clara could not have been more helpful in walking me through the delivery and storage of an international shipment. Not being present when the shipment was arriving was going to be problematic, but Tim explained the level of security, the ease of transition and the steps necessary through the app to walk the shippers through the facility with access codes. He also followed up after the booking to confirm and personally, offering his assistance if I had any questions. Really excellent customer service and leaves the customer with confidence that the facility is safe and secure.
I rented the space in 2019, and hadn't been back since covid lockdown. Tim is such a pleasant upgrade to this facility! He was so helpful when I came to pick up my new key. He walked me through the steps of downloading the app, showed me how to use it to access my space, went with me to show me how to open and secure the new lock, and when I realized I needed a cart, after declining when he asked me before going to my space, he volunteered to go back downstairs and get one for me. Tim's awesome!

Tim was really helpful and relieved a lot of my moving anxiety! The only reason I had to vacate my unit was because the monthly cost had increased somewhat significantly.
Rented a storage space for the summer and was impressed with the location. Tim, the manager, was incredibly courteous in helping us get our storage unit up and running. He clearly takes pride in the facility in regards to keeping it both clean and secure. Would definitely recommend to anyone needed a storage unit.

I’m not familiar with these keyless entries so it was such a big help when the Manager Tim explained the process and made sure mom and I were proficient with these keypads. I can clearly see the cameras and the keypads are always clean and working properly. I feel safe here. There is plenty of parking and plenty of carts to load and offload. Carts are kept clean and work perfectly as well. Money well spent for sure!
I went today and Tim at the front desk was great and kind. I went to check on my storage and he was so caring and explained everything that was changed since 2020. I’m so happy with this place.
Tim is ALWAYS super helpful, from payment plans to repeatedly having to show me how to use the app to open the door.

Property Manager Tim at 1955 Lafayette in Santa Clara is super helpful when it comes to moving in AND moving out. He’s super knowledgeable and takes care of the whole building! He makes sure you’re alerted to any changes he notices on the outside of your unit (additional lock added, etc.). I’m moving my things to another Public Storage and I wanted to make sure I knew the move out procedures so I went in and asked what to expect. He gave me a lot of information that I didn’t even know I needed! Super satisfied w the amazing customer service that was provided by Tim!

We were told to be amazed by how clean the place is kept. No kidding! Tim the property manager keeps this place spotless - and I mean spotless! He's also a very kind and helpful soul who assisted us in finding and reserving the space we were looking for. Overall I have only positive things to say up until now. We're sure Tim will take care of us moving forward!

The service at Public Storage located at 1955 Lafayette in Santa Clara, California was excellent. I had not been into my storage unit for some time and was having difficulty due to an upgrade at the site. Tim was so helpful introducing me to the site improvements and the new access app. With his help I got the new app loaded and activated. It is so easy to use and the site was spotless! I’ve had Public Storage for many years and I am really pleased with this location, Tim’s excellent customer service, the facility and the new Public Storage App.
Wow, I’ve experienced over 12 different Public Storage locations in my life and this is definitely the best one! Not only is the building nice and very clean but the property manager, Tim is amazing! He provides the best customer service, is always so helpful, and friendly with a big smile on his face. Super clean facility - not a speck of dust, convenient location and the entire place looks brand new. Tim, the property manager, is simply the best. He does what is best for the customer. He will patiently explain you the procedure and after that things like how to use app, elevator, gate etc becomes so easy for you. We went in to enquire about the price (first ever visit to a storage company) and were so impressed with the customer service and the facility that we booked a rental space then and there.

excellent services by tim the store manager if i can give a 10 star then I would. This guy was angel during a crisis i had. I recently met with an accident and had to end up vacating the rental apartment and fly out of country to stay with my family, to get home care and support. both my hands and back were injured. the accident was emotionally and mentally very taxing and I was temporarily disabled having to rely on others for help. there were so many things i had to close out and I literally had 2 days before catching my flight. I booked this place last minute and had to plan the storage move late in the evening, next day morning was my flight. no room for delays and I was very worried. unfortunately we got locked out in the middle of the move. It is thanks to people like tim who went above and beyond to help me sort it. he understood my situation, showed compassion and willingness to help even after his shift was over. which truly shows an exceptional customer service. I was able to complete the move and fly on time and get the needed medical help. This guy comes with a golden heart which is very rare these days. he sees you like a family member and steps up if needed just so your needs are met. he has got your back. what more can you ask? Tim you earnt my respect and honor. god knows what would have happened if I chose a different place. I will always bring my business to wherever Tim goes and will refer him to all the folks in my network and community. thats the least I can do to show my gratitude. besides I know we will be in good hands with people like Tim who genuinely cares for your well being. if any company manager is seeing this message - give this guy a good raise. he is a rare find and you dont want to loose him! infact he should be named, employee of the year so other staff members learn what it means to truly be there for your customers in time of need, thats how you stand apart and get more business. Always a fantastic experience at this Santa Clara storage location. Every visit I am pleased with the faculty as it is always clean and well organized. My family and I have been utilizing the services at this specific Santa Clara location for about two years. This evening I had the pleasure again of being assisted by the property manager, Tim. Tim is always courteous and knowledgeable whenever our family has needed assistance with any questions. Tonight especially, it had been quite some time since I visited our storage unit and embarrassingly I had forgotten how to input my code correctly and the whole elevator process. However, Tim was most prompt with helping me figure out my correct information for our storage unit. Lastly, he showed me easily how to utilize the Public Storage app which makes the visiting process a lot more efficient.
The property manager Tim was really helpful. He walked me through the entire process on my first rental unit. He was also patient enough when I was having problems with resetting my password through the app, and then made sure everything else was working after that.
I've been a tenant at this location for 15 years. Tim, the new on-site manager, is fantastic. He's friendly, conscientious, and really cares about his tenants. The property has also seen some nice renovations in the past year, including new HVAC and security upgrades.

Very convenient and reliable. I rented a space online within minutes. Was explained how to operate the app and elevators on the phone with the property manager Tim. When I arrived I was greeted by Tim and he showed me my storage unit and how to use the app in person. This location and staff is very helpful.
I've had my fair share of renting storage units and besides this one they have all been horrible experiences. This Public Storage has been stress free, it is very secure, super clean, and I am always welcomed by friendly staff and whenever I have needed assistance, the staff (particularly Tim, the manager), has been very helpful and accommodating. Not only is Tim eager to help and assist or answer any questions, he is always incredibly kind and considerate. It is refreshing to see good customer service and a manager who clearly takes pride in his job and cares about his customers and their experience. Tim was very patient and informative when showing me how to properly use the Public Storage app to gain access into the building and use the elevators, because it is quite confusing & particular. If you are looking to rent a storage unit in this area I would highly recommend renting a unit here!
