If I could give this a zero star I would!!
Absolutely terrible customer service in the office and even on their customer service line.
The units are not in good condition and whenever we talked to the office about it they did not care. We could not lock our unit for some time. Now we are in another unit and it is absolutely awful to slide it open.
There were animals chewing through the installation and making a mess on our items (pictures attached). When I brought the concern to the office they did not care about it. I had to ask to move to another unit. When moving, we found dead mice in the unit we were in. Not to mention, my rent has over doubled since November with no explanation.
Update to my previous review: The rental prices are insane. I started with a monthly rate of about $195 and now they have increased it to $529!!!!! Not to mention if you miss the payment date, there is a $96 late fee. I just moved out to another storage company and would NEVER recommend this place.
This place does not care about customer service , the last 2 snow storms they only clean one path in the middle and leave all the units with snow in-front .
I shoveled out my unit onto the cleaned driveway under the sun so it can melt , worker came over and told me to put it in between the columns which makes no sense as there is no room - he then started giving me and attitude telling me I have no respect that cars wouldn’t be able to drive by which wasn’t true multiple cars drove by perfectly fine - I then told him once I’m done moving my unit I would push it back - his response “ no you’ll do it now “ I told him absolutely not … he continued escalating the situation I told him I was done he proceeded to walk away cursing and slammed the gate - beware of the rental increase more than double for horrible service - I’m attaching pictures of our new storage location Extra Space Storage in Southington they clean the entire road way and in-front of each unit and while I was moving they had a truck come at night to salt it once again . Don’t waste your time at public storage it doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

I’ve had use storage units before so this isn't nothing new to me. I seen roaches in my storage unit. Never have i seen a pest in any other unit places. I shouldn't be paying all this money a month so My stuff can get filled with roaches. DISGUSTING

They up their prices way to much, when my Mom rented one it was around $245 and a year later it's going to be over $500 for the EXACT SAME STORAGE UNIT. Like yes I understand it's been a year, but some people don't have storage in their homes and they shouldn't have to pay half their rent for a locker that can flood.

The employees are rude, lazy and unreliable. Called several times no call back. Stopped by to speak with a man who worked there who was not only rude but walked away while I was talking. The next day I arrived with a moving truck and was promised that construction would have been done to only have to wait 30/40 minutes and had to be charged $300 more for the movers to sit abs wait to be let into the guy by a worker who never showed up. Construction had to let movers in. To top it off I called all to upgrade my unit knowing nothing would fit once I saw it. Do to the worker never showing up I couldn’t get into an upgrade and was forced to leave 2 items which one was stolen abs belonged to my child. Don’t wasn’t your money they over charge but can’t afford a single camera. Unprofessional and completely unreliable
Got a storage unit to hold my motorcycle, and after the first 2 months, they kept raising the price every month after that. Spoke to the guy at the counter. Said they had 17 other people moving out as well as us. Cause of that issue

Public Storage is VERY lucky to have Mariah on their team. She was extremely kind, polite, and took her time to explain things clearly throughout my rental experience. She is committed to keeping the customer happy. Even when I had trouble with the slide lock to my unit, she came out personally to assist (successfully !) and followed through until we were able to get the maintenance staff provide a fix a few weeks later. (throughout the wait, she provided status phone call updates on the progress) Mariah is a true professional and very knowledgeable of her job -- from hands on maintenance, to using the mobile app, and a very smooth close-out process when we vacated our unit. Mariah is an asset to Public Storage because she cares about quality customer service.
