Easy and helpful! I originally rented a unit that would’ve been difficult to back out of with a long trailer but planed to make do, upon hearing this Kim helped change my unit to a far more accessible one for my needs at the same rate! She was very helpful in showing me the layout of the property and how to access my unit, the halls are clean and easy to navigate, and the trollies helped a ton with moving! The first day after I filled my unit, I forgot to put a lock on, the next day Kim put a temporary lock on so my belongings would be safe till I was able to lock it myself. Very kind, quick, and helpful service!

Super friendly informative and professional. I worked with Kim to get all setup with my unit here. Kim was a delightful to work with. She helped me finalize the unit size and ensured all my details and paperwork was solid. Later in the month I worked with Kim again when I realized would be storing more then I had initially thought. Kim guided me through the transfer process so I was all prepped when I came in to work with Jessica to make the transfer complete and update my contract. Jessica made is easy sign out of my old unit and into my new unit! I have been very pleased with everyone's professionalism and diligence at their job they also have gone above and beyond with taking pride in the facilities. Feels super secure and positive place to store!! Oh yeah thanks to Ian too you rock as well!! ;) Thank you for your help.

I had a great move in experience. No complaints there! However, a couple months after moving in, they raised my rate 41% without so much as an email saying they were doing so. When I called, they told me they had sent a letter (to an old address). Not sure why I wasn’t notified by email too (we live in the 21st century after all). Either way, I went with them for the lower rate, and to have it increase so massively, so soon after move is unacceptable. I’ll pick another company now. Never going back.

Attendance in the office were super helpful and patient. They helped troubleshoot an online issue which was keeping us from being able to rent the proper space. Once it was sorted out they were around kind and efficient and getting us access to the space we needed. I absolutely recommend this public storage.

The service here is outstanding. When I walked in I was greated with a smile and a warm welcome by Kim. She was able to answer all of my questions and explain everything to me with great patience. She showed me around the facility and made sure I was able to use my codes and explained the mobile app.

DO NOT PUT YOUR STUFF IN THIS STORAGE UNIT! My husband and I have had a small unit here for about a year and a half. We don't check on it often as it has seasonal things and other misc items that are being held while we are house hunting. After our wedding we planned on putting the decor in there until we are able to sell it. When we arrived everything seemed normal but our key was not unlocking our lock. The employee on site came back to see if there was anything she could do but ended up saying a unit right next to ours was broken into and rifled through about a month and half ago. The man was cutting locks and replacing them with staged locks so nobody could tell which ones were broken into. Since nothing was stolen from the mans unit he did not file a police report. The building did not even notify us that their was a possible break in to our unit. We were told the manager would be in the next day to cut the lock and we requested to be called when they arrive so we can be with them when the lock is cut. The next day I did not receive a call and eventually called in myself to be told the manager already opened the unit without a call. Once we arrived we immediately saw our unit was destroyed and our bikes, camping gear, and many other more important priceless childhood memories were stolen. We were then told they 'think' they know who did it and kicked them out but still did not file a police report because they had no proof. The manager then told us the auctioned off his unit soon after. All without even telling us, so we could have been on top of it earlier or even seen if he was holding the stolen goods in his unit. There are many other units that also were never notified, there reasoning being they 'didnt want to cause panic'

I would like to give a big shout out to Kim. My family moved our stuff over to Black lake public storage. Of course it was raining hard. The storage I reserved online was up a steep hill that the U-Haul we rented couldn't get up the hill. Kim was so kind and patient at first we couldn't find our rental she came to us immediately and then we realized couldn't get U haul up the hill. She got us into different unit same size and price that the U-Haul could access. Very professional. Good place we actually like these units better.

I love my 24 hour access storage. I can come and go as I please and the door is big. No squeezing into a small door to store and its huge! Has its own light switch and shares a cement ramp with other sheds...but only twice have I ever had someone try to use the ramp besides me. The staff are always sweet and check in to make sure things are secure. I even forgot some stuff outside once when I was tired, they had it safe for me the next day. You can't beat that. Not a fan of the elevator though. I recommend drive up access at least. You can't go wrong with that. Plus super easy access from hwy 101 and right next to Trader Joe's and Buffalo Wild wings, Petco, Walgreens, the old Top Foods/Hagan Nw Fresh, Sonic, Taco Bell, Five Guys, Big 5...Big Lots, El Sarape, the mall...definitely easy access to gas and pretty much everything you need when moving or moving storage facilities. 😋

This place made me nervous when I parked near the unit location & noticed that the perimeter fencing was damaged from people who have obviously been jumping the fence to get in, I don't think it was a way to get out, but who knows. Upon entering the building the lights on that side were all out making it hard to see in the hall & impossible to see inside the unit at all.

They like to add fees on If your a few days late and even go as far as putting liens on your stuff. Even during covid they will do this. Be careful with this sneaky company.

Tamara took us around the property and showed us all the storage spaces available until we decided on the best one for our needs. Thanks ladies! The people who work here really are great. They follow the rules sent down by their upper management and they've accommodated me for years now to the best of their abilities. Don't miss payments and you'll be fine. Given the way property taxes are rising like the tides lately, the company has to raise the rent every 6 months or so. I started to feel like there was no benefit to longevity here. But after almost six years renting here, I ran into the kind of snag that happens in a climate with mild weather, in an area with plenty of woods and natural beauty. I put an insurance claim in when I opened the door to find the place covered in mice and rat droppings, nests in my totes of clothing and dead rats in my boxes. I ended up throwing out 15 totes of stuff that was chewed and destroyed, and very little of it was covered by the vermin clauses. So it left me disappointed in the choices out there available to Public Storage in the way of insurance. Just when I was reconciling myself to just being sad about things and accepting the loss, I got a call. Apparently when I brought all of this to their attention, the folks at the office had been talking to the right people about it, managing to finagle me a little break that helped me to recuperate a lot of the cost of tossing out all that stuff the insurance wouldn't cover. I'm super grateful to this facility for working with me on a solution, for being customer-oriented and commiserating with me over everything. I'm not leaving the space, and will continue to be a customer for probably years to come. All in all, they've been great, but do make sure to pack your things in there (in any storage space) with a thought to the critters that may invade in spite of all efforts to keep them out.

Public storage folks - I have been to several Public Storage businesses in the last 15 years, from Bremerton, Seattle, Tacoma, etc. I have never received the fabulous customer service that Lena gave me. She was friendly but professional, efficient yet attentive to my needs, and she exhibited tremendous clarity about the storage possibilities available to me. I say 5 stars + !!!! Customer service is hard to come by these days for whatever reason, so it was nice to come upon a young woman who knew how that drawing in business requires a certain skill set that she exhibits. I spent my entire career working in HR. She’s one of the good ones!! And by the way, I am over 65 and disabled and Lena was excellent in helping me regarding that. Marcia Schmitt

I take back what I said about the ladies here being so nice! I’ve had this unit since February and have paid every month. Last month I forgot and so when this months was due I was told that my storage was up for auction because I had a past due balance. I didn’t have the money at once because it was now at two months so I paid the past due and finally worked it out so I could pay the rest on the 20th and be fine and caught back up. Before coming to that agreement we were asked if we “could borrow the money from a family member or someone or get a payday loan to pay the balance before the 20th” then also after said agreement I was still receiving phone calls and emails that I needed to pay and my unit was going to auction. Then when it came time to pay they added on more late fees to my remaining balance so when I came to pay it was about 50$ more than what the paper said I had to pay that I walked out with. They are real nice to bring you in but you miss a payment and they turn shady really quick.

I found exactly what I needed right away! Thanks to Lena I was able to get a good storage unit and the right cover for my couch to stay nice clean. Lena is very friendly and good to talk to. Hope more get to do business with her soon!

I finally got a bigger place and moved my stuff out of storage (5 years). Lena was a huge help in resolving my account. Allison was very courteous and laughed nicely at my sad humor. All aspects of the rental were well covered. She was great about showing me the space and ensuring I had the proper space for my needs. And, she was also good about making sure I got the available special rates.

My monthly rental rate was raised about 20% within six months, that’s quite a bit more than a cost of living increase. When we first moved our things there the gate didn’t work, they had to let us in twice. When we moved our things to a less expensive storage facility the gate worked to get in but we couldn’t get out. We called for help but no one returned our call. Finally my 140 lb. wife went over and shoved the gate open manually leaving us questioning the security. Before we moved to a cheaper location we found mice or rat droppings over everything. We had a 10X20 enclosed, unheated storage area. Good luck.

Public storage is heartless and could care less about people. I came across hard time and was late on paying my bill..i begged for 2 more days ..i would be recieving my firs first paycheck from a new job. 2 days 48 hours. I told then i would pay additional late charges .. Whatever they wanted. They refused and auctioned off 30 years of memories ..my childrens baby pictures my dead grandmothers vase.. Then sent me a bill... I was in tears.for weeks over these loses...please do not give them your business..they will not work with you..they are real life monsters..if you do choose to do business with them please be careful do not believe or trust them..good luck

Ashley and Adam hands down were the best people to work with! Ashley was awesome when I first moved in, super friendly and awesome customer service. Unfortunately I had to call Adam under not good circumstances in relation to a family emergency and had to have the lock cut off my unit ASAP so I could move out of it. Adam was super nice and even came down the next morning from Renton to make sure my lock was cut off and I could have access to my unit. They definitely made moving out a Breeze in a very chaotic time. If I'm ever in Olympia again I would definitely rent from them.
