Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4400 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA

Easy process from start to finish, friendly and helpful staff, great location for me.

Nightmare to deal with. Every month there is some issue with my payment, despite having a valid card on file. Being at sea, I'm not able to constantly be on the phone with them to sort out billing issues. After a late payment due to their inability to charge the card on file (of all my bills, this is the only company that can't seem to get it right), they cut my lock off and put their own on. When I'm able to get back and manually pay again, they charge me late fees and continue to notify me that i have to make an appointment to put my lock back on. this a facility with individually issued gate codes, even if there was a billing issue, why not just revoke access through the gate? There is absolutely no need to destroy a 30 dollar lock. I would have been happy to keep my possessions at their facility for a couple of years as long as they billed appropriately every month. But due to the unnecessary hassle, fees, and lock destruction, I'll be relocating to a privately owned facility. I would not recommend, especially for anyone who is frequently away.

Very poor! I had a climate control space. Last January the lock on the exterior door to the climate control units was jammed for 10 days...therefore there was no access to my unit or the other 5 units in that space. No one is on duty at this location and it's extremely difficult to reach customer service all you get is voicemail. Three days ago I went to put items in my unit to find the exterior door lock had been vandalized leaving a hole where the lock should be...THE DOOR WAS WIDE OPEN! From the parking lot I tried to reach management to report the problem and while I was making the call three teenage boys banged on my car to intimidate me. No one answered my call I got voicemail yet again...two days later I got a call back from district management. I was told a lock was on order but No idea when it would arrive or when I could expect the storage to be secure again. Yes I did have a lock on my individual storage space but the walls do NOT go to the ceiling...anyone could climb over the wall and get into the units in the climate control area. Lastly, there are cockroaches when I moved out I was shocked to see how many there were. Yes their prices are lower than most but you get what you pay for. Do Not take chances with your belongings or your safety at 4400 Princess Anne Road Public Storage location. Terrible experience!

There is nobody on site and I went there and there were two people robbing the storages nobody answered my calls and they just got away with it and they told me they'd have to look on the camera to see if they could see anything it is the worst place ever I would never recommend anybody going here they overcharged me never returned my money very bad place

This location is ran without a staffer on the grounds. Its well maintained. They have raised the rent 2 times in the year I've been here, which hurt a bit. The manager that I've spoke to from Buckner location is super helpful.

Wasted my appointment and guy or gal didn’t show up for their locker

So far so good. Storage unit clean and in order.
