This location has been absolutely amazing in helping us find the right unit in the right place. Significantly better prices for same size units at other storage facilities in the area. We’re now paying less for a climate controlled unit then we were for non climate controlled before. I am very pleased!
We’ve been renting here for almost two years (Justin Smith) we started out at 99$ and over time it has almost doubled. Not only that we lost almost everything in a flood and what’s in our unit is all we have left. We have expressed our hardships and fell a month and half behind. I just paid one month leaving fees and one month left to pay yet they don’t care and have it set to go to auction Tuesday at 10AM regardless of the fact we just made a $200 payment and are trying to get this caught up. I don’t know who everyone else has dealt with here but our experience has not been a good one.

We moved from Houstong to NYC recently and needed to downsize and thus, needed storage. This is hands down the best experience I've had with a storage facility. The premises are extremely clean. Things like their elevators, HVAC, dollys/hand trucks, lighting and access systems, all ACTUALLY WORK! Their showroom is fully stocked and they have all of the gear and supplies you need for safely transporting and storing your belongings. I've been to places where there are foul smells from other units and the situation never gets fixed. Here, I've never come in and seen anything out of place or smelled odors that will end up getting your things to reek.
In addition, Lesa at the front desk is absolutely kind and helpful. She's always been helpful...not only before we signed up to store our stuff, but ever since. We would be clients even if they were a bit more expensive. They are very reasonably priced, though.

I have never had such a bad experience with customer service. This location is huge and we needed help finding our space. The lady at the front opened the space for us, as it was sealed with a blue tie. We proceeded to deposit my daughter belongings after a very exhausting day. The next day I got a call asking why we "vacated" our room and I was thoroughly confused. I asked the caller to please find out why she is saying this. She called back and said our space was empty. I panicked and told her this has to be a mistake and when I asked to speak to a manager, she hung up. I got extremely upset and went to the location to find out what was going on. The manager there, was very rude and interrupted me many times, while looking at her watch, which was extremely disrespectful. This upset me further and I told her I understood she has things to do, but that my time is also important, as I had to stop my dinner to find my daughter belongings. We found out we were pointed to the wrong space. We went ahead and switched space numbers, no problem. This afternoon, I looked at my American express and there was a charge for "switching" storages. I called the manger on-site. She argued with me and was very rude.
If anyone is considering this place for storage needs, please reconsider. I know they own all of the PS, but I'm hoping you would choose any other location, with a manager who has a bit of experience defusing bad situations, instead of aggravating them.

I rented from this location and have you take out insurance with there insurance company 15.00 a month that is added to the storage fee. With last storm that came through Houston Texas the lights were out like so many places but when the light came back on the climate control and the air conditioner did not come back on and it stayed that way for 4 months. I would gotten my stuff out but due to have lung cancer and on oxygen I couldn't do that! The insurance is only willing to pay 250.00 for a 5,000. 00 policy. I was not able to recover most of my belongs as they just covered in the mold and mildew. I have reached out to the company and have not received any call back from the District Manager Kevin!
No one should have loses all there belongings!!! Especially my back up oxygen concentrator just name one thing that was very important

Do not recommend. While some of the staff is understanding and kind, others are not as caring. Roaches were in one of my units a short time after we moved in. and now Mold is in the building! I should have chose another storage. Didn’t have any of these issues in Cypress. Smh.

This place is so bad it made the Houston News this Morning 😲 I rented a space here and then quickly tried to get my money back but at least I never stored my beautiful belongings here and got out of the contract. Just look at the video from KPRC 2 News, if it doesn’t post just look it up.
When we moved in the rent was 100 then they raised our rent to 176.00 I took it off auto pay and my husband was contacted asking if we were moving out due to them raising rent again to 236.00. They offered 3 months at 176.00 which we stayed. I got sick of the rates going up in less than a year that we moved out this past weekend. One con is the parking lot is set up for multiple moving vehicles so it makes it hard to park. We had a climate control unit which it was always cold in there before but this weekend it was hot in there. There was a guy walking by that worked there and I asked him if he was there to fixed the a/c and he said they have it set at 80 degrees. My daughter was coming up and someone asked her if we had mold in our unit. We didn’t see any mold but we didn’t dig through a lot of boxes. My problem is we were never notified that the climate control wasn’t working since Hurricane Beryl came through. They had no problem charging us for it. The only reason we are leaving a 3 star rating is because the gal that runs the office and clean out the unit had excellent customer service. I’m just glad we don’t have to deal with this anymore. We moved out of a unit in Lake Jackson specifically for a climate control closer to home.
Be careful keeping your stuff here, the A/C went out and they told no one. Mold issues.

If you have stuff in climate control at this storage unit, PLEASE go check your stuff!!! It hasn't been climate controlled since Beryl and they decided not to tell their customers! A month and a half my stuff has been sitting in a humid and hot room and now it's all ruined. There have been multiple people with this problem that haven't heard a single word from the manager about this issue. Not only is my stuff moldy, they have continued to take money out of my account (until I was made aware of the situation and took off auto-pay) and refuse a full refund. I am highly allergic to mold and so I now have to get rid of baby items, handmade rocking chair, kitchen items, comforters and all kinds of stuff because they couldn't make 1 phone call to let me know I might want to come and get my things.

They are still advertising climate controlled, but I was there yesterday to help someone check their stuff and it is STILL NOT climate controlled.

Very disappointed in our experience at Public Storage. The price doubled in a year and half. We took all our items to storage without mold, but sadly we had to get rid of many items due to the mold we found on our stored items. It is advertised as a climate controlled building But it has been 82 degrees when we were working in there. It sure does not feel like it was climate controlled. Disappointed! One positive: staff was polite and professional.

I had issues with customer service canceling my reservation while I was speaking to them and not being honest about the mistake. We've been looking at different storage units for a while and this one was perfect. Great location with easy access to both entrances. The representative we spoke directly with, Diana, was extremely helpful! She took the time to show each unit we asked about and explain the different rates. We could tell she was busy managing two different locations but that didn't stop her from providing excellent customer service.

My rates have gone up considerably since I’ve been renting here. I called and spoke with the manager, Amber, about it. Before I could even finish explaining the reason for my call she’d already put in a rate decrease request for me and was able to save me some money on my rate. I first moved into a storage unit at this location in 2017, shortly after they opened. Since that time, I would characterize my limited interaction with the staff and Customer Service call center as a mixed bag. On Christmas Eve (2023), I transferred from one unit to another at this location, in order to lower my storage cost. On this particular occasion, the PS representative manning the front office, Taylor, was super helpful, efficient, and well-versed in how to complete the transaction to transfer units. I was in and out of the facility in no time. My experience on this particular day testifies to how good service can change perceptions of a business, in my case, from mixed to 5-star. Thank you!
If you would like a safe and secure place to keep those memorable items, this would be it. Amber is a huge asset at this location, as she is both courteous and helpful. She helped me close out my unit expeditiously, I thought I was going to be there for awhile to fill out forms. She closed it out in less than 5 minutes. I kept asking is that all and she said yes thats all. Sure enough I checked my email and it was complete. She is truly a blessing. Thank you again Amber!

Amber was so very helpful assisting me today. She is patient, helpful and above all professional.
They tell you the monthly fee is $99. Then three months after you move in they notify you that the monthly fee will go up to $137. Then six months later they notify that the monthly fee will go up to $158. So almost a sixty percent increase in less than a year.
So today I came wanting to know the prices on storages without knowing i was going to end up with one, walked in and I see Amber with the brightest attitude and great charisma. I was worried that I would have trouble finding what i was looking for but she helped me 100 percent and make me feel so comfortable and i left knowing so much and with no questions me and my mom were absolutely thankful with her thank you Amber!
Generally okay experience but limited aisle space made it more challenging to maneuver larger items into unit.
I am irritated by the lock situation. I was told that I could use my own lock and be refunded the ~$20 lock charge within 30 days of occupying unit. There was no discussion about lock requirements. I attempted to return the lock provided, and was told I could not use my padlock and that the requirements were listed somewhere in the rental agreement. Still feel the conversation was misleading or erroneous.

I have seen Amber walk the entire location several times a day. When I was in my unit she stopped to make sure I was happy with my unit and if I had any questions or concerns. I told Amber I needed to down size as I did not need a bigger unit anymore. Amber checked her list and found me a smaller unit close by original unit that was available. Amber took the time during her inspection of the location to show me the unit. Amber told me to contact her when I was ready to switch units and she would help me.
I came in a few days later and Amber remembered me and my unit number. Amber was able to switch me over in just a few minutes. Amber has such a polite and helpful demeanor and very knowledgeable of her location.
The owners of Public Storage should be very happy knowing that Amber is running their facility extremely well and her professional conduct with their customers is top rate.

Worst place that I have EVER stored things at. I was supposed to have a dollar move in. On moving day we arrived loaded down and supposedly their elevator was broke. So they put me in a unit twice the size for $200 a month. I live on social security so this was a VERY negative impact to my budget! What ever happened to businesses keeping their word. And if they are unable to, they endure the consequences NOT THE CUSTOMER! And then I had to pay a mover AGAIN to move me to a smaller unit that ONLY became available after I called corporate! I advise you to steer clear!!

I have been renting a unit at this location since February, and just recently moved out. While moving out, there was an incident with two careless and disrespectful gentlemen that blocked my vehicle in a parking spot. The manager, Amber, saw what was going on and immediately came outside and handled the situation by being kind, respectful and professional towards them by asking them to move their truck and trailer. Even though the two gentleman were very disrespectful towards her and myself, she did an outstanding job handling the entire situation. Customer service is awesome and they care about their customers, I will always recommend this location to store your belongings enough!

I went there with some annoyance, felt it unnecessary to deliver keys to a empty storage, plus the out of the way drive, even if I still have a balance on the account, but per Amber's request I went to deliver them back.
Thankfully, I had a wonderful experience with Rhonda at this site.
She was on break and so graciously still me with a problem that was not her own. She immediately calmed me and is the biggest reason for the 5 star in leaving today.

Amber was Very helpful and helped me solve our storage problem. Today we had a little misunderstanding at the beginning of our phone call, but we clarified and laugh about it in person afterwards; when I had to sign a paperwork to get public storage to remove my storage lock.

Downsized from a 5x10 to 5x6 bcz no longer needed the extra space and wanted to save $. PS Manager Amber was incredibly helpful and made the transfer easy. Offered suggestions on best way to make switch and made everything go smooth. She’s terrific and PS is super clean and safe storage facility.
Employee Amber was excellent with her service today, beyond our expectations. She was able to answer all our questions and was patient while we took time to read our services. Two stars because the facility is always clean and the staff has always been friendly. I've had my unit since July 2020. It would be -2 stars for the corporate office. 156% price increases from October 2021 to June 2022. Come to find out 30% increase in June 2022 for my 3rd floor unit is $14 higher than the advertised full price and the discounted price is less than I am paying now. My new price is the price of a 1st floor unit. These people get you in and then sock you with outrageous price hikes. I understand an annual price hike. Fully expected that. But my rent went from $30 to $39 1/1/2021, then to $77 10/1/2021, and finally to $100 6/1/2022. Same size unit on upper floors is advertised for $86 with first time discount to $65. Convince me I am not getting ripped off. The corporate office has waived my price increase for 3 months. Basically telling me they are giving me a 3 month notice that they will be increasing my price to above advertised rates. I think this will be my 3 month notice to move out. The corporate office really ruins a good experience at this facility.
