Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 399 Brent Lane, Pensacola, FL

The worst storage ever!! The walls between the units are a thin Masonite material. There are holes in those walls were you can see into the next unit and see someone else’s stuff. You could simply push down the wall material and steal everything in the the next storage unit. Absolutely no security here!! And then there are the rodents. From the size of the droppings, they must be medium size rats. Every cardboard box I had in there had holes chewed into it. Everything had rat droppings on it. I was only there 3 months…..those are the reasons I moved out. No wonder the price was reasonable. NEVER AGAIN!! Stay away from Public Storage!!

Overall, not the best experience at this public storage. First of all, our unit was near their trash can (that no one is allowed to use, never had a storage unit NOT have a garbage can to use) and we had an issue with having rats run through our storage, or at least the thousands of remains they left us. Had to sweep out tons of rat **** when we moved out. It ruined a lot of our stuff in there that we had to throw away! We didn't complain about it, we didn't even tell the front desk about it to bother them about it....we just handled it. Moving out was an issue too!! They made closing out such a hassle for us. Multiple people there said different things when trying to cancel. We had to remove our card from auto pay but then they said nothing else. Not when to be out. Not how to be out. Nothing. We had trouble removing it too! It didn’t successfully remove, charging us for another month we didn’t want! Why can’t they just say “oh you want to cancel? Great! I can handle that. We cancelled your account, make sure to be out by ____!” -- There was none of that said…they just said “take your card off auto pay”. It's almost like they WANTED us to fail so we could give them more money. We were 2 days late to be out (because we were never told a “get out” date). So then they tried to charge us AGAIN for another month and we said no. They then sent our payment to a debt collector. They were so confusing in how to get out. They even told us we had an extra month to get out! That was NOT the case as they charged us for that month. I spent many extra months paying for the storage unit when all I wanted was to cancel!

Exceptional service from Tracey, site manager at Brent Lane, Pensacola location. Was desperate for finding storage on a Sunday, Tracey got us a storage unit, solved glitches on App, handled transaction to get us our storage unit quickly. Solved a major crisis for me. Clean, efficient storage, Sunday availability! Cheap, flexible, excellent on-site customer service. General Public Storage 800 phone number very helpful to arrange storage, had site manager call back to solve problems. No impossible phone tree, "thank you for calling, your call is very important to us. We are helping other customers. Your wait will be 28 minutes........." Live, helpful agent available quickly.

So I normally hate storage places ..but ever since Tracy has been a part of the management team she has transformed it and keeps everyone coming back for her witty remarks and warm spirit.

Absolutely would not store here unless you have no choice, and until they figure out management. Don't store your precious cargo with a company that doesn't man their store. Trust if there is a problem, they won't be there to help you. You also have to wait a pretty long time for a dolly on the weekends. Then after a few months they are going to raise your price. After a few more months they will do it again. Next thing you know your cost has doubled in a year. The same EXACT location I was in the people next to me where paying half my price. I left the next month.

We were in a very bad spot and needed storage quickly. Although I made the reservation for a few days out I called and spoke to Tracy and she was absolutely amazing. When we got to the office to finalize the reservation there was a slight hiccup, but Tracy got us through it and we were able to get our unit today. Thank you Tracy for everything.

Got my storage unit a year ago on special. Its storage, so can't complain. It's more expensive now, but still more cost effective than similar units around town. If I meet staff by chance they are polite and quick to assist you. One downside. This storage isn't 24 hours like every single other storage place in town, so if I had the urge to store something at 239 in the morning I can't. Well, good outweighs that one hang up. **UPDATE** Customer Service Rep with Public Storage contacted me today to resolve any issues I may have with their services. I appreciated their explanations and now I have a better understanding of the services provided. They were polite and professional as well. 5 🌟!

Perfect staff service. I moved in today and I was given everything I needed before I had to ask and was moving my belongings in within 10 minutes. The woman in the office was very nice and was convenient and efficient when I needed a dolly. I reserved a climate controlled unit and while it was insulated it still seemed to be a bit hot and I was hoping for something a little cooler to store circuitry, batteries, etc. but I'm pleased with the 5x5, the 24 hour access, the low rate, and the customer care. Thank you public storage.

For starters, I'm only reviewing this location. This is one of the worst storage facilities I've ever rented. Pest control-There is none what so ever. I had mounds of ants inside of my unit and into my personal items just weeks after moving in. Ease of access- I could barely fit a standard truck inside of the limited spacing w a trailer. You have to jack knife to get a trailer in and out due to the fact there isnt much room at all. Temp control- If they weren't clear with you, these are not!! Lastly, the staffing was friendly towards me moving in. I would advise against anyone renting from this location as long as you can spare an additional 10 bucks and 10 minutes on your travel. These arent very nice units for the price.

RATS! Not mice... Massive rats. Don't use this place, or get some really good insurance bc the storage place won't covered the damages. Thousands of dollars in damage after they ate seadoo wiring and furniture

Great facility with a very nice staff

They only have outside units at this location. My storage unit has roaches. If I need to enter the unit when it rains then my shoes get fully immersed in water. The water stands right in front of my door. The door handle will not slide even after I lubricated it. The inside light does not work. Replacing the light bulb has no effect. It is a struggle to open and close but I do receive this 10x10 at a bargain price. So this would be a great place to store old furniture but not household items.

Terrible hours . Rude customer service. Didn't come with any of the perks that I signed up for. No power no surveillance cameras it was not very secured at all. Only a piece of sheetrock kept kept the next door tenant out of your unit. Personnel on charge would rush you out of there. No consideration. did not get what I paid for whatsoever. Would never recommend this place to anybody ever. Way too expensive for what I thought I was getting. In fact I think I deserve a refund.

I moved into the shed and discovered 3 days later that my items had been chewed by rats. I called the office and they sprayed and I called the 800 number to have a district mgr call me and 48hrs later I have received no calls. I went onsite and took pics of many cracks in the walls where rats can enter, gaps in the roofing, a tree that hangs near my unit with many dead branches sitting on the roof, and seems like some units have leaked. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT MAINTAINED AND UPPER MGMT DOESNT RETURN CALLS.

This place has literally 2 parking spaces. The units that they showed were ridiculous. 2x4s ran across the floor in some of these units which make no sense.

My husband recently rented a unit from this property through his business based out of town. The property is extremely convenient to all parts of Pensacola, having direct access to both I-10 and I-110. The property is also very secured, clean and quiet. The property manager, Ms. Debbie, was extremely helpful in promptly getting him moved in by making it a priority to make the proper phone calls and fax the proper documentation. We would like to thank Public Storage for making this an easy and uncomplicated experience for everyone involved! We highly recommend this property for fast, hassle-free service.

I am giving this location a 1 star because of the issue that I have had, the response that I received from the staff at this location. In the agreement that you sign with them and the policy NEVER stats that if you move out after the 2nd of the month you have to make a full payment they do not prorate the unit unless you move out by the 2nd day of the month. called Debbie to ask her she couldn't not find it the district Manger a rep from head quaters told me we tell you about that when you inform us that u moving out I was moving on 6th of the month it's a weekend. The first issue I had was my husband bought something that we didn't need I told him to take it back. He was out of the store for 2 mins he was told that he could not return them because they don't do returns I called the district Manger she didn't call back but Debbie did tell us we could return the item something they usually don't do that but the receipt she gave back to him stated on the bottom unopened Items can be returned with in 7 day of purchase. So the customer service will be great so they can get your business but after that they no longer care about you or your belongings . Oh if they tell you that you have to buy there lock not true you can bring your own.

Was fine at first then I met the lady with the nose piercing Debbie and she was horrible.She told my husband why didn't he marry someone his own race a discriminated me till we were able to get ourselves settled here in Pensacola and all I wanted to do was get out of there. I even called the supervisor and she told me go go make payments at another location ?? This place is horrible when it comes down to it.Still haven't received a call from corp. The guy there was nice and just because I'm Hispanic he didn't treat me no different that Debbie did.

Tammy is extremely helpful!! Just moved from mn from a 4 bedroom house and got a huge affordable storage unit!! They need more space or another entrance...hard to get out if u have a suv with a trailer... and inexperienced drivers lol...but i actually got everything i brought in my unit!!

This location is great, close to the interstate, and also clean and well kept. Jason was super helpful and made the rental and move in efficient and low stress.

Made it easy for me to get all of stuff in storage for the right price with the right items to protect it all, love that is was close by ad the team made the process enjoyable and fun!

Storage made easy. I recently moved from a small apartment into and even smaller dwelling. After calling several storage facilities in the area, I was a bit displeased with the availability and pricing. After searching the web, I saw a $1 move-in special offered by Public Storage and figured I would come in a see what they had available. It had been a long day and my attitude was not the best; the look on my face was evidence of that. Marie, a Public Storage employee, noted my frustration from the beginning and tirelessly worked with me to ensure I had my storage dilemma resolved before leaving. I was the last customer and had arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing. Marie was patient and did not rush, which made me feel at ease. I left with a storage unit and a lot less of a burden to on my shoulders. During the week of my move, I was in and out of that facility more times than I can remember. I even had to upgrade to a larger unit to accommodate my belongings. Marie helped with that as well. Each time I see her she greets me; even with just a wave as I pass through to visit my unit. And she always reminds me that they are there to help. I am a firm believer in human relations and enjoy meeting people who are earnest and genuine. I would recommend this facility to anyone sheerly based on the customer service and personal trust that Marie has earned from me. Thank you so much.

Public Storage was a huge relief for me! Not only is it an affordable location for my things, but the whole experience went by so much more smoothly than I anticipated. There is a reason she is mentioned in other reviews; Marie was the sole reason the move became an easy one. She is not only unbelievably helpful, but probably the sweetest representative you'll meet!

The facility is in an excellent location. The manager checking me in was knowledgeable, kind, efficient, and thorough. The storage unit and compound is dry, clean, and well lighted. I like the video security and security requirements. This storage facility gets a strong table pounding recommendation.

The first month was to be just one dollar, but when I arrived the manager placed a lock on my unit and much to my dismay I was then charged for this lock! Then told there were no refunds for this lock after it was placed on the unit !! BRING your OWN lock!! Also you DO NOT have to purchase their $11.00 insurance ~ look in the phone book as some companies charge just $8 a year !! Do not become a victim of up charging !!

I was unhappy with Public Storage - I booked a 5 x 10 storage unit on line for $1 +$19 for first month and $53 a month thereafter. The confirmation email stated that this was the total cost. I was informed by manager that I must buy there lock for $17.99 and I must take their minimum insurance of $3,000 for a premium of $11.00 per month. They would not let more store my belongings unless I purchased both! I feel this was a deceptive advertising practice. What was I to do - with a truck loaded for my furnishing start looking for another storage site in a strange city. So I signed the contract - but as soon as I find an apartment will take my belongings out. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau to advise the public of this deceptive practice. Greg did give A-One Service however when I voiced my objections, he replied without emotion "Yes Sir"!

Marie was able to help us select a great storage space for use until we move into our very first home. We received excellent and timely service. I put in my request online last night and she contacted me promptly this morning. Now we are stress-free and able to pack before our big move without being surrounded by boxes everywhere. I highly recommend using Public Storage for any storage needs!

I've rented with Public Storage for quite some time. Great prices as well as location. Unlike many other storage companies in the area the staff was helpful. Always had on a smile. Brendon was very friendly and went above and beyond to assist me. If I ever need to put items in storage again I know I'll return to them.
