Wow! Where do I begin? I was a caregiver in Westlake village for 35 years and lost my condo after my partner passed of Covid in March 2020, so I had to move quickly and lucked out finding Public Storage only a few miles from my house!
I had never rented a storage space before and I was 60 years of age, but when I got there I was greeted by the absolute sweetest and most knowledgeable employee, who imeadiately told me that everything would be alright, and I suddenly felt better! Going to storage is always hard on me , as it brings back memories that can bring me to tears, but somehow I always run into Elisabeth that somehow changes my sadness into a smile! Thank God for her positive attitude and sunny like demeanor, I’ve never not seen her when she didn’t call me by name and ask how I was doing!!! I highly recommend anyone to rent storages here and make sure and ask for Elisabeth because she is truly my favorite employee, although mikael is also another fantastic employee who is also very knowledgeable and is also extremely friendly!!! The onsite manager for this facility is probably the most badass lady I’ve ever met. I’ve never been more stressed in my life trying to facilitate a move, add more store for my pack up, and figure out the logistics of everything else in between. I’ve used enough storage places to say that this place is pretty standard for a self storage place but the manager alone made this place worth every penny. Highly recommend Public Storage.

Very good customer service just love her attitude Lisbeth is very welcoming in the store of public storage it was an amazing experience being here with them and having her help me through all the way in helping me find a suitable storage room thank you.
MOLD MOLD MOLD! On all of our stuff! 😡 We smelled the mold when we first arrived with a UHaul truck full of our belongings... SE side elevator stank of mold, as did the whole second floor on that side of the building, including our unit. We asked for a different unit in a different location, but were told (1) there had been a water leak (!!! -- How are they still renting units out?!?) and (2) we were locked in by contract to the unit we had rented-- online/sight-unseen: NEVER AGAIN! With no backup option and 3h from home, we had to unload our stuff, return the truck, and finish the rest of our move.
We got our stuff out as soon as we could (4 months later) and there was mold growing all over everything (see pics). We ended up having to vinegar-wipe EVERY surface of EVERYTHING we had stored here: took 3 full days and then opened up and set everything out in the sun for a week. We are still finding mold.
RUN, don't walk away from this place!

Don’t use ! Once you move in , there is not a contract and they raise the rent when ever they want . My rent doubled in less than a year of being there !! I will never use them again !

Furious!!! Management informed me that I had to be outside to he fence before five twenty pm even though their hours of operation clearly states six am until six pm he told me that if I wasn't out before then I would be locked in and that I would have to phone the police and explain why I was in the yard after hours but that's the only way that he was going to open the gate by instructions from the city or state police so I am currently working on a solution for that inconvenience ------------------ 5/01/2021----- Well I was looking for another storage unit provider. But Elizabeth the General manager actually called my fiance looking for me and this is the weird part she couldn't have known who I was I have yet to marry my beautiful fiance and I'm not on the lease but somehow after reading my comment she knew exactly who to call she even remembered that my fiance had mentioned recently moved back to Ventura county from alaska I want you to please keep in mind I've never met this woman I couldn't tell you what she looks like only that my fiance says that she's expecting a little bundle of joy very soon but even with all of these missing links between us she knew it was me. she made me feel like my business was more then just rent and insurance once a month. She made me feel like I was the most important person and that without my business they would have to shut and lock the gate not only that but she was very concerned about what was happening at her place of business that she is solely responsible for and truly wanted to rectify the situation so my mind is made up I will never rent with anybody else besides public storage thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elizabeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Update---'xxxx--- sadly my fiance and I our moving away from ventura County and this month will be our last month at public storage but if your looking for affordable dependable place to store all your treasures call Elizabeth she will get you in a space asap she is the absolute best and for the most part so is the rest of her staff

And your site in Oxnard is hands down better. Your site in Ventura failed to advise me of the brake in that cost me about $3000 or the second attempt. It is easy to make reservations online, the team is responsive by reaching out to you immediately. They were available to meet with in me person upon a walk in as well. I wasn’t sure which space would be right for me, but the staff was helpful in showing me different available units. The location is easily accessible and clean. I like that a flat bed dolly was available to use from the loading area. This is my second time being a Public Storage customer and will likely use them again in the future if needed.

The employees are so great, the property is always clean and well secured.
Clean premises and bathroom. Newly labeled lockers. Just raised the monthly fee though.
