Phil is awesome! We needed to move from our current size space at Public Storage to a smaller one. Not only was Phil friendly and professional - he also found us a new space directly across from our old space - which made the move a breeze.
The electronic paperwork was simple and quick, and Phil made sure our gate code was in working order before we left the office.

I've been renting at this Public Storage for 5 years and love the facility and how easy the app makes everything. It was time for me to transfer to a smaller unit and Phil assisted me with finding the best one with the best price. I was there at the end of the day too, on a weekend, and Phil was so kind to stay and help me get everything I needed to get my unit transferred over. He also made sure after I finished moving out, that my previous unit was closed out. I am so appreciative for the help because it is a stressful thing to deal with, but felt much easier with the assistance. Thank you so much!!
In addition, in the 5 years I've been renting, I've seriously been so impressed in how clean they keep the facility. No bugs at all! Which is so very important and makes me a super happy customer.

Phil at Public Storage (1776 Blake Ave LA, CA) was so helpful today. My storage unit has a wall that shares with another I to that is clearly packed full and is pushing it into my u it (see photos). When I inquired what my options were as it doesn’t feel safe to keep this unit while they need to do repairs. He offered me a different unit at the same price since the repairs wouldn’t be done before I have movers putting furniture into my unit in a couple days. The unit is closer to the elevator and has a rollup door instead of a normal door which would make moving some items more challenging. Overall, Phil was great and so helpful. Thank you!

My unit, as well as 3 other of my storage neighbors was burglarized by intruders who breached the inadequate divider walls between units made of drywall.
Why is this public storage facility not updating the pass codes???
Don't be fooled this place is unsafe. "24 Hour surveillance" is cameras in the mezzanines only, totally false advertising.
6 billion dollar company is too cheep to have real security and more cameras.

I had never heard about public storage before and I was in an emergency situation of needing to rent a unit. It was my first time and I was anxious, but the man named Huan or guan was there to help me get registered and give me a unit and tell me all about public storage. He was so helpful dealing with my questions and concerns and very patient. I highly recommend him for help!!! He even helped me check out and answered all the questions I had about payments in a understanding and patient way!!! I’m so thankful for my experience with him that I will definitely use public storage in the future!!!

The location is a bit sketchy, but since it's gated that doesn't bother me much.
It has a large parking lot inside the gate (which can trap your car if you don't leave by the stated hours), and a good sized elevator.
Carts are free to borrow, you just need to get a key from the office.
One tip, maybe bring some of those stick-up battery powered lights - this location is older, so not all the units have a light inside them.
Place has gotten spiffed up a bit since my review: a fresh coat of paint, and the building's external doors now also need your gate code to unlock them.

Great customer service at this location! David was very knowledgeable and very helpful getting me my storage unit. He helped in a quick and thorough way I was in and out within 20 minutes and had a new storage unit for a great price!
