My experience with property manager 'Joe' was above & beyond outstanding! I am so thankful ...he made my not easy day much nicer !!
Once again, this property continues to work out extremely well. Matt, the property manager, has worked with me to assist in providing the best possible spaces for the best possible price. I have to travel from Los Angeles, so it must be working out well for me! I closed out one storage unit that was no longer meeting my needs and added a smaller one that is both convenient and economical. The property has recently added hours so that it can accessed from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm, which works out perfectly for my schedule! I have been a tenant for closer to twelve years, not the six years of my earlier estimate. When problems arise, Matt sees to it that I get a prompt response. Thank you!

I rented a 5x9 unit here from Sept '24 to Feb '26. Putting the pricing aside (since I know that's more of a corporate policy thing than a local store issue) I had a great experience.
When I first moved in, the accessible hours were 6 AM to 6 PM, but they eventually extended them to 9 PM, which was a lifesaver for someone like me with a 9-to-6 job. Even with the crazy weather, all my stuff stayed in perfect shape.
Also, I’m pretty sure Matthew, who helped me move out today, is the same guy who checked me in back in 2024. He’s super friendly and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. This was my first time using a storage unit, and these past 2 years and 5 months have been a breeze.

Don't not believe the Google reviews. They are all fake reviews. They pay for bot reviews. I would stay away from this place. They are straight up crooks. Legit bait and switch. Last year I rented a place in Jan and in March my rent went up by $80 I was so confused. This company will lure you in with great prices and then after they have you they will jack up the prices. Crooks. This has to be a joke.
You also can't jack up the rent that much. I'm gonna speak to an attorney.

I’m the executor of my parents estate. They weren’t wealthy so the estate was basically the house. I sold the house a year ago September. I put the remainder in Public storage lahabra on beach Bld. It around a 10x10 that was $101. Per month 15 months later the unit gone up 226% to $228. Per month . When I called they said like everything price has gone up due to inflation. The only veritable to increase there should’ve been electricity. The storage complex has been there 30 plus years. I told the lady on the phone inflation around 2.% then she got mad.
I will get everything out this month. This is the same shit they pulled 26 years ago when I moved and had a unit. Back then the manager said ever four month switch units and it would stay the same price. I feel this is criminal . And at all cost don’t rent from them.

Matt was super helpful with explaining how to finish closing out my unit after having it for over a year. I felt safe and secure having this location hold my belongings while I was in the process of moving cities.
Rented a storage unit at this location in March. I had a credit on my account when I moved out of the unit. I was told I would receive a check within 6 weeks. September comes around and I did not receive the check. I called September 2nd and was told I would receive a call within 24 hours. I called a week later because I did not get a call. They told me they are still investigating and that they would call within 72 hours. A week later I call again because I received no call again. Today I was told to wait 6 weeks for another check to come in the mail. This whole process has been a hassle so beware. Another thing, when you are checking out the front desk person asks you to write a review right then and there! So keep that in mind when looking at reviews for this place

Still have not received a check. Have to contact customer service again! Let’s see what they say this time. Ridiculous!

Matthew is a great manager property is very clean the only thing I wish it was the property was open just a little bit later like around 8:00 9:00 at night but I understand for security reasons but closing a little early by 6:00 6:30 is just a little bit overboard but it is a great property and the prices are very competitive I would definitely continue storing here which I am I'm current and I couldn't hear it in the past with Matthew and Matthew hasn't done anything except always being helpful and always being around whenever I needed help around the property just need to have a manager that's more in the office that way if we ever get trapped in there we are always able to contact the managers I know he has to be out and about running doing errands for the property so other than that I am a former property manager across the street is imperial Beach South storage but I would never rent there because the owner there is very unfair to his tenants and for his employees so that's why I chose public storage over imperial Beach cell storage because a corporation big like public it's been around a lot longer and really good managers so other than that property is very clean alarm down all door panels so you can't get into the doors which is great then you have on-site manager I think that's even better it would be kind of cool having a manager doing like you know like monthly raffles or something and having little barbecues just to show appreciation for the customers that way they you know feel a little bit more better meeting with the you know management and you know just having a like a family outfit kind of thing you know just making it make it into a family thing thank you so much I love renting here I just wish I could get a bigger unit but stuck with what I have thank you
Upon renting my unit six months ago until now no complaints. I received an email today of a rent increase effective July 1st. I called the office thinking it was a misunderstanding. My rent currently 87 dollars increasing by $35 to $122. That is over a 40 percent increase!!!!! Matt explained he has no control over rent increases and that is a "corporate thing" based on a variety of factors and typically they increase Annually and was unsure why mine took place after six months. Just be aware if you rent at this location how they say their units are subject to rent increase with no caps clearly. The facility itself is clean.. typical public storage occasional issues with gate opening and you need to use entering gate. If you arrive early enough on weekends you can beat the crowds and find a wheeled cart available at that time.

I have had a storage here for a couple months. 1st month was okay. The rest have been a disaster. Please reconsider and find a different location. Access is limited here. Even though it says 6-5 it doesn't provide such access and the buildings system shuts down and makes it completely unaccessable. Great manager, horrible systems.

This is the worst experience i have ever had. We got confirmation we could access our storage 9/13(a tuesday). We rented a truck Friday night to saturday night. Loaded truck all night friday and all day saturday then went to load our storage unit at 5:15pm and they refuse to give us access even tho we have already paid $170 for the storage unit. Terrible customer service when you call too. All around terrible experience go anywhere else but not here. TIERRA HAD THE WORST ATTITUDE/CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. She hung up on me too
I had stuff in there from 2013 til just last week.. was going in there a lot last couple weeks and Matthew was always working, helping me and very professional. I think a couple times he went above and beyond and he was just a great guy, I told him if i can do anything for him to help his employer know the value he brings i would. so i am leaving this the next day, cause yesterday i was so tired i passed out early!
We really enjoyed doing business at Public Storage today with Matthew. He was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the services at Public Storage. He also helped my sister and I get the apps on our phones properly so we could get in and out of the facility easily. Kudos to his parents for raising such a great young man!
