Cynthia V at the Rosecrans Ave location in Hawthorne is AMAZING!! If it weren't for her we wouldn't be renting at Public Storage. She made everything so easy, was like having a personal assistant. Thank you Cynthia!!

Been renting here for a little over four years just - transferred units today. Super sharp young guy (Andrew I think). made it so much easier to transfer units and get it done. Very seamless. Very appreciative of his help making it all happen.

The level of customer alert from some staff at this location is beyond ridiculous. Carmen is rude and does not know how to talk to people. She is constantly cutting people off and basically has a my way or no way attitude. Another lady is the same way. They try to belittle people over the phone but when in your face they try to place nice. I have had a space here for years and the only nice calm respectable person here is Cheryl. Maybe they should take some pointers from her or actually go thru a customer service training again. You will loose customers at a high rate if you keep employees like them on payroll.

I had a really good experience. They were very helpful. The lady at the front desk was upmost respectful and very delightful. She was a big help and I appreciate her thank you very much.

This place has horrible people that seem to have been working for this company for a long time. Carmen is specifically a very rude and inappropriate woman who takes advantage of her position and will make sure she has pushed people outside of normal and fair situations. Personally I'm not sure if she does things legally due to the fact that she tried to deny me and my husband access to our unit yet after I contacted corporate she changed it to accessable for move out. She clearly doesn't have any moral boundaries or if you try to speak to her will become completely comfortable with being there to make your time hard there by being unfair and inappropriate. I've never had a worse experience than this one with a storage unit place. I don't think she has the right to tell me I can't move my stuff out with just my vehicle and only with a moving truck 🚛 yet she still did so. Extremely disappointed.

Alejandra has the best attitude and very helpful. She went above and beyond to make my wife and I feel comfortable with using Public Storage

I've rented a storage unit here for a few months, and the units are fine. The facility is relatively clean, and despite the occasional hiccup (broken door, broken gate, broken elevator, etc), things generally get fixed reasonably fast. Unfortunately, the staff is extremely rude and multiple members of their staff have gone out of their way to harass me, and this has occurred more than once. A few months ago, one of the staff members approached me while I was parked in a delineated parking space inside the access-controlled area past the gate (there are about 40 parking spots, and only about three to eight are in use at any given time). This staffer told me that I could not park my vehicle there. I took a look at the parking space and commented that it was clearly a delineated parking space for customers and didn't have a 'No Parking' sign or any orange cones, or anything that might indicate that customers couldn't park  there. I gave this employee an opportunity to explain themselves and perhaps explain why they would ask customers not to park in this particular parking spot. The employee didn't have an answer, could not provide any reasoning as to why customers shouldn't park in that particular parking spot, and flipped out and started screaming, which made me feel very uncomfortable and afraid for my physical safety. This employee had clearly mentally snapped and was a risk to others. I had to resort to filming my encounter with this psycho employee because I was concerned that they might physically attack me. I assumed they would deescalate the situation and walk away, but they did the opposite, and they actually physically approached me a second time, rather than walk away and leave me alone. This employee had no reason to approach me in the first place, as I was parked in a proper parking spot, I wasn't blocking the doors or the loading dock area, etc. Today, I had another bad experience, this time (at least initially) with a different employee. This second employee approached me while I was reorganizing some items in my storage unit and told me that I should be loading this into, or out of, my storage unit at all times, so by omission, they were trying to tell me that being in one's storage unit and reorganizing one's own items was NOT PERMITTED. I explained that I hadn't seen anything in the lease that said I could not be in my storage unit during open hours to reorganize my belongings, and I further stated that I had, in fact, brought some things into my storage unit and was planning on bringing some things out when I left, but this second employee continued to imply that I was doing something wrong. I informed her that I was not breaking any of the terms and conditions of the lease that I had signed with Public Storage, and that as a result, I hadn't done anything wrong, and that she had made a mistake in approaching me, warning me, and that her behavior constitutes harassment, and was unacceptable. She shrugged and left. I came back in to the office 10 minutes later to get clarification about this alleged violation, and the psycho employee #1, who I had a frightening encounter with a few months ago, was also in the office this time. I asked some question about the alleged violation, the second employee said that it wasn't her complaining about me being at my storage unit to reorganize my belongings, but rather that it was her district manager who had made a mention of it, and that they had instructed her to speak to me about it and tell me that I was not permitted to be in my storage unit during open hours unless I was actively loading or unloading things from my car. I explained to her that this prohibition was not anywhere to be seen in the lease that I signed with Public Storage, and that as a result, it wasn't real and was unenforceable. Their staff said that their district manager would get in touch with me. Anyways, I'm done with this joke of a business. Their employees can't seem to stop harassing their customers over absolute nothing-burgers.

She really takes the time to make sure you’re taken care of, even when it’s busy. If you come here, ask for Alejandra—she’s the best!

I had such a great experience at Public Storage thanks to Alejandra! I was having trouble figuring some things out, and she really took time out of her day to help me. She explained everything clearly and made sure I understood. Alejandra was incredibly helpful, patient, and treated me very well. I highly recommend coming here because of the excellent service she provided!

Renting process was easy. Location is clean. But if you need help for whatever reason then make sure you have time to waste. If you need a cart bring your own. 3 times on 3 different days I needed someone to come unlock one of the cart so I could use one. 1st time, I waited 15 minutes and gave up. 2nd time it took 5 minutes. (They don't actually use the intercom they just show up) 3rd time is today and I have been waiting for 40 minutes. No one showed up. No answer at the intercom saying they couldn't come just plain nothing. If you can't come to unlock the carts figure out a better way to manage the carts.

Very well kept and nice environment for putting your belongings Cheryl and daisy were very sweet and very informative. They took care of all my needs and were very respectful and helpful.

Daisy is so awesome! She was so polite and patient even when I had 1000 questions right before office was about to close. Facility is clean and feels safe. Would Definitely recommend this place for your storage needs.

First off , The storage facility is very well kept . Very clean. When i first arrived i was greeted by Lydia. She was so nice and helpful . I had so many questions on which unit size i should purchase .She walked me through explaining and showing me the units and i was able to decide on the perfect size. Thank you for your patience with me Lydia i appreciate it .

Though my storage unit is at another location near me, I usually travel to this location to pay my rent. It's a very nice and clean location. The staff are courteous and very helpful. Carmen is the best! She actually remembers my name and can direct the other staff on how to pull up my info. I'd love to move to this location, probably after selling off most of the large furniture and other stuff. After which I can downsize to a much smaller affordable unit.

It was my first time renting a storage so I was unsure about how it all worked. I was confused but the worker there named Isabel guided me since I was lost. I was able to get my storage and load all my belongings same day. I recommend anyone else who needs to store their extra belongings here it was so simple and stress free due to how helpful the management is.

AVOID THIS PUBLIC STORAGE! While I’ve generally had great experiences with Public Storage, this one falls short. — Safety: Safety can be a concern, especially after 7 PM, due to suspicious individuals near the storage gate. While a code or your phone is required to access the main gate, it's important to be cautious as anyone can follow you inside. Consider visiting during daylight hours or with a companion for added security. — Access Concerns: Accessing your storage unit at this location can be frustrating. The sliding doors are sometimes locked from the inside during morning hours (6-9:30 AM) and evening hours (6-9 PM), which can leave you unable to reach your belongings. The is a failure of the staff to inspect the doors. This inconsistency is a major inconvenience, and it's worsened by the fact that there's no staff assistance until 9:30 AM. It's important to note that addressing this issue with the front office can be challenging, as the manager, Carmen, often avoids taking responsibility. While the majority of the staff is friendly and helpful, there is considerable room for improvement in the facility's overall management. — Trolley Accessibility: No trolley access from 6 AM to 9:30 AM and 6 PM to 9 PM. Getting hold of a trolley at this facility can be an unnecessarily complex task. To use a trolley during their business hours (9:30 AM to 6 PM), you must present your ID at the front desk. Accessing the office poses a challenge, requiring navigation through a hallway and inputting a door code. Frustration arises when the provided code fails, creating an unexpected obstacle in moving belongings. This unnecessarily complicates an otherwise straightforward storage process. Improving trolley access during all hours would enhance overall customer satisfaction.

This is a great public storage! I just had a little issue that I needed to speak with someone there about. Luckily I was able to speak with Eric and Cynthia who both helped me with my current issue and also went above and beyond to help me moving forward. Thank you both! I really appreciate it!

I don't even know where to start. My biggest frustration is they don't answer the phone or return phone calls when you leave a voicemails. Property manager rudely told me they are not just in the office, they are around the facility doing other things, and that voicemails are returned in 72 hours and that No company ever returns phone calls back in 24 hours. To me it sounds they are disorganized. Voicemails in companies I've worked in are checked daily. when you come in the Morning, after lunch, and before end of day. It is something vital to do do to keep a company going to keep customers informed and happy. I would never rent anything from any company that it's a hassle to get a hold of to answer a few questions. So if you are like me and like clear and reachable communication then do not rent from here. Maybe try the storage facility in Gardena have excellent customer service.

I rented a unit, but got too spooked when I had to go through all the access gates and up an elevator to the second floor and down eerie corridors to my unit. It felt so quiet and spooky — and one sort of odd person passed me and he was fine, but just felt like there would be no one to protect me if I was up there alone. It’s a pretty clean facility and great front desk. I don’t know, just wish there were staff available on each floor or at the elevators to make you feel safer.

they will up charge you depending on the month go to a local storage unit i paid 141 first month by the 5th month it jumped to 332 not worth it

The best part of this place was Patty in the front office. She was really nice and helpful and I give her 6 out of 5 stars. However, the recent 22% rate hike wasn't cool and certainly potential renters should be cautious. It's hit or miss whether the office is open during business hours, which is really bad if you need the little push carts to move items. Not allowing 2nd floor renters to use the hallway on the first floor that connects the lobby to the storage units is really weird. They say it's for security but don't really explain what that means.

This location is very disappointing! They NEVER CLEAN OUTSIDE or INSIDE! I see the SAME trash from a week ago as I return. The inside floors are ALWAYS DUSTY! Clearly the manger for this site is UNPROFESSIONAL & allows employees to do absolutely NOTHING! Bathroom never has SOAP, toilet seat covers or toilet paper! I have seen broken glass as well as harmful materials in the parking lot where our kids have to walk through & tires can be flattened. The only consistency they have is RAISING RENT! You’ve been warned! If you want clean & professional look for others spots! Very disappointing! I will say the employees are not rude or anything, just seem careless!

Worst storage ever, they over charge you. Then when I wanted to get my stuff out all the carts were locked and I had to carry everything 1 by 1. She knew I was coming from Moreno Valley I had just spoke with her and asked about it being open. She is very rude and something about my debit card. I felt it was racist. This is not the last time they will be hearing from me….

Moving is stressful but coming to this storage location has made a stressful situation feel like a breeze. The customer service is top tier. I underestimated my storage need twice and was able to change units and add a second unit with complete ease. No confusion or hassle. I compared it to another local storage and this storage is clean and secure. Not only for my belongings but I feel safe going to the storage alone.

I came in today to inquire about storage space. Cynthia helped me secure a space on the 1st floor. The process was seamless. Cynthia answered all of my questions and walked me through everything from the application to the gate code and accessibility. Great customer service!! Highly recommend.

It seems like everytime I go to my storage. A new staff has appeared rude and young. This location needs too clean a little better in the elevator and hallways.You would think as much money that you're charged, you would hire a staff with better customer service skills and not looking for a check.
