Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 8228 E Germann Rd, Mesa, AZ

I have been at this place for almost 3 years now. In the last 6 months it has gone from $50 a month to now over $160 a month. I have an outdoor spot for a 16' foot car hauler. I was told it is corporate that keeps raising the prices and they cant do anything about it. Even if you have been there for years. The facility is very nice and convenient, but come on with the prices. I will update this and give everyone an update. Thank you Mary for helping me on this. I very much appreciate it.

I recently rented a spot for my travel trailer here. Mary in the office was so helpful! She took me around and showed me all of the available spots to rent and spent a lot of time with pricing and availability. Ive had several more questions since then and she is pleasant, professional and attentive. Ive already sent a friend to this facility and he stores his trailer there also. If you are looking for a covered storage for your toy, go here. You wont be disappointed. Thanks again Mary!

This is a well run facility. Lighting and security is great, dump station makes it really convenient and management is always very helpful. Update: Mary is awesome to work with for your storage needs! She took care of business in no time and I know my trailer is stored in a secure place.

Mary has excellent management skills and is very knowledgeable about how to manage the company and its shows in her ability to maintain professionalism in the company while it’s transitioning. Extremely friendly & patient with the challenges.

We have stored a camper at this location for 4 years. This location was recently acquired by Public Storage and they are either very incompetent or malicious. We pre-paid for 13 months last year (emailed the front desk the payment info) which should have us in good standing until December 2023. Yet we have only received "reminders" that we are 2 months behind in the rent and they can sell our camper etc etc. They use an app to access the doors, pay your bill etc, but the contact us option only lists a phone number for the office. There is no email option or phone / mailing address for corporate etc. This might be OK if you were a month to month client, or are a new client. It seems that long term clients are getting poor customer service. I spoke to the front desk staff and emailed the payment info to them and have spoken on the phone a few times since over the past 2 months. They alway say they will correct the payment due info but nothing has happened yet. I will update this review if they ever correct my account, but for now go in with your eyes open. Very disappointed with the experience so far. Update: After providing multiple copies of our existing contract / receipt and being locked out of our access (even after being assured that wouldn't happen), they finally got everything squared away. I suspect things will go smoother for new customers or month to month customers, but their system (Mobile App) is not built to easily accomodate property acquisitions with existing contracts. Our situation required a big-wig in Corporate to approve the numbers even though other manager level folks could see the copies of the contract / receipt for advance payment. Classic example of "how NOT to empower your employees to fix problems". Since things have been set right, we have had no issues with the App / billing / setting up payments etc. Where did they fall short? 1) No easy way to contact someone after hours, 2) stupidly long time to correct their records, 3) treating all customers that appear to be delinquent as criminals, and 4) not having an option on their App to contact a live person (e.g. Emergency Access). In my opinion, items 1 and 4 are critical shortcomings and I hope their IT department improves it quickly. Get past the shortfalls listed, the App is slick and the sites are amazing. We're going to keep using them but month to month going forward... Updating to 3 stars. I hope this feedback gets up to corporate so they can review...

Mary in the office is just great! She's very knowledgeable and competent helping us with all our storage needs. The rates are reasonable (so far)... $198@ mo. for 10x40 outside canopied space... I hope this company doesn't bait and switch us by raising our rent. 😒I'll keep you posted

I called to get prices on units I drove past and it looked very clean stopped inside advised that I was the one who just called I was shown a unit right away the unit is very clean and the customer service wad above and beyond Is didn't get the woman's name Thanks guys I ened up w a great unit
