Had this storage for about 4 months now and everything is still perfect the way I left it . Even when I accidentally forgot to lock my storage , the workers (Joelle) were able to keep it locked while we were out of town . Everything was still there and the place is super clean . Joelle is amazing helping out with what you need! She’s our go to when we stop by our storage 😁.

Gate is broken and padlocked. I’m not able to access my storage space at 8am on a weekday despite the gate saying I have access between 6a to 9p daily. I attempted to call the property manager but received no call back. I chatted with public storage and they advised there was nothing that could be done. I asked for a credit and, despite saying they’d “submit a request for credit”, they refused to provide proof. Agent then ended the chat without solving my problem or providing any service.

Excuse the profanity, but why the hell did you people lock my unit when I have been making my payments on time.

I do not recommend this company if you need to rent a storage unit. My experience has been sub-par since getting started, to during, to current, as I prepare to terminate my service with them. My biggest issue with them is that they said my unit is improperly locked. I arrived around 5pm to access my unit and they had added a lock without giving me any notification they would be doing so and even though their hours are until 6, nobody was there. I called and nobody answered. I waited about 15 minutes. After I left, the manager, Hope, called me back and said she was at a different location today like it was my problem and was incredibly rude. There have been more issues that I will have to get to at a later time as I don’t have further energy to put into reviewing my poor experience with this company today. Just go elsewhere if you want to be able to access your unit and have reliable service.

It’s not very frequent that I visit the facility. Mostly it’s to just throw stuff into my unit and forget about it. However, I noticed my rent had gone up and was a little upset at the size of the increase. In hindsight it may have been an over reaction. I made a trip to the office and was met with the property manager, Hope. She was understanding when I discussed the issue, and instead of telling me to kick rocks, she moved me into a same size unit that was way cheaper than what I would have been paying. And it was only a couple doors down. We went ahead and scheduled a move in date, and she was nothing but supportive and helpful with my issues and getting them resolved. I’ve ran into her almost every time I’ve visited the facility, and every time she’s been a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend asking for her if you are to visit.

I reserved a storage unit on line and when I got there the unit I reserved was rented out to someone else. I was told that the only other space available cost $200 first months rent no $1 first months rent deal. So I had to go somewhere else. I do advise you to not just reserve the space you want but rent it too. Especially if it's a good deal. You can rent online and it's called a contactless rental. And when your space is available they text you and leave your lock inside the rental space.

I reserved a storage unit 10×10 with only having to pay $1 for the first month and then $111 a month after. Which I honestly thought was a great price. I could not find anything cheaper. My first mistake was believing that if I reserved it and then went to and if paid in person I couldn't mess it up!? Was i wrong!! public storage said if I reserved the storage space then no one could rent it. So when I got there guess what they rented it out. Apparently they did not have any more storage spaces in their facility. Except for one 10×10 (which I reserved) but now trying to charge me $300.,?? how did we go from a dollar first months rent and then $111 a month to $300 a month? What's really going on?? Scam??

I was a customer with this establishment for 3 years, and I must say it was one of the better storage experiences I ever had. The manager Hope, is a godsend and every time I dealt with her she was always courteous and professional. This facility every time I was there I never saw it to be tacky or dirty like most places I've passed by and seen. The rest of the staff has always been courteous and friendly and once again thank you Hope the manager for all the hard work that you do and always treating us like family.

Updated from 5 stars to 1 star after two years: While the service I received was good at the site the longer I was there the more issues stood out. The place is INFESTED with rats. Bring a tarp to cover your stuff because they climb on the wire above the units and don't give a $h!t about $h!tting on everything. The "secure" door and lock to enter the building housing many indoor units was broken. It started as having to jerk it open and slam/push it shut, and eventually became loose hinges, a missing handle replaced with a piece of rope...the building is not secure. Because Public Storage apparently doesn't want to fix the door it was often left open when I arrived on site. My boxes had water damage on the bottom. I had to throw away some moldy items. I was not told at any time that flooding had occurred. Insurance pays out up to $250. It doesn't cover pest damage. Get real renter's insurance instead. Original review: I’ve been pleased with all of my experiences with Public Storage and this site in particular. Both staff members I have met (Teresa and Devin) have answered my questions and were thorough in their explanations of rental policies. I purchased moving supplies (boxes, tape, moving blankets, plastic wrap) as well - they have a number of other items for sale as well. Rental insurance is required (your own or theirs) when you rent a unit and you will need an approved lock or plan to pay $20 - $30 for a lock you can keep when you empty your unit.

First day and the person working was beyond useless. Code was wrong, took them calling someone else to figure out why and the unit did not have the key provided like they said. Complete mess. Go elsewhere if possible.

Tracy saved the day! We couldn’t fit all of our boxes in the U-pack pods so we needed clean, secure storage fast! Within ten minutes, I had an ample unit, a code for the gate and the Public Storage app with access to the unit in it. Great customer service Tracy!

This place is amazing they were so patient with all of my questions and by they I mean Lindsay. She walked me thru everything and answered all of my questions. She even stopped form going to the bank to help me and even worked to make sure I saved money by getting exactly what I needed. Couldn’t ask for better customer service especially lately because that is an ancient art apparently.

Staff goes through your stuff😐 I had removed anything important from the locker a week before my scheduled move out date and just left the lock off because the last box was just junk that I needed to throw out. When I got to the unit it was wide open and one of the staff was going through my stuff and when she turned around and saw me she said "omg I promise I'm not going through your stuff, it's not what it looks like. your stuff just fell over and I was fixing it" like girl first of all thats the worst lie I've ever heard. It wouldn't have fell over if you weren't touching my stuff. Regardless. it's a storage unit, you store stuff. If it wasn't for the girl I would've given 5 stars.

So, why are you guys never in the office? Why do you lie about the date you tried to take money out? Is this entire thing a scam? How can you pay if you guys arent there?

This place is super shady. Signed up for autopay for the 1st, they tried the 4th. This happened a couple months in a row, and they keep adding charges since they arent in the office when i go to pay. Its not a billing error. I've been on the phone many times. Now my storage unit is going to be auctioned the 25th, because these people cannot do their job. Its not ha hard to be in the office during office hours. I've tried the new and old office. There was a man also trying to pay but he couldn't because no one was there, either. This is not professional at all. DO NOT PUT YOUR STUFF HERE! Even called after the 1st autopay incident, and told them to please make a note to take it out ON THE 1ST. nope, apparently they didn't because after that phone call they still tried to take it out on the 4th. If they had done their actual job, none of this would have probably happened. Such a shame, i thought this place would be a lot better, at least it used to.

Clean property, great first month move-in special. The manager on site was extremely helpful. Shortly after we arrived, she came out to the unit to check and make sure the unit was in good shape.

Why am I getting billed an extra $250 after moving out and cleaning my unit instead of my prorated rent for this month? Can you stoop any lower?

Had a quick and easy move into a storage unit thanks greatly to Theresa. First time renting a storage unit and she was able to explain the whole process clearly, she even went out of her way to walk with me and open the unit for me. I dealt with Theresa when I went over to this unit. Despite so much going on, she was phenomenal. There was a customer who was being difficult and not understanding with everything going on. Theresa handled everything very well and she was so kind and helpful for me as well.

This place was great. No hanging or padlocks. You used barrel locks which were inserted and recessed. Probably one of the most secure storage places in the area.

They raised the rates before the end of the year

It was convenient to get a storage on a Sunday, even though it wasn't the size i needed they sent me to another location to accommodate my needs. Also had a friendly staff. A little expensive for end of the month but couldn't complain at the last minute.

I got into my unit today and I hadn't been into it in a long time, but there was definite signs that someone else had gone through my stuff and no one bothered to tell me.

Ameitra and Jaime were not only knowledgeable and helpful with absolutely anything i thought i needed, they also helped me prepare with a lot of tips and care I hadnt considered to ensure that my first experience renting a storage unit would be a positive one. Im confident that my belongings will be safe from temperature, break-ins, and anything short of an apocalyptic event as long as Ameitra is the property manager. Great customer service

I went first to one location, but was moved to a second location for a unit that accommodated my needs better anyway. Both Ameitra and Katie were so very helpful! Solid customer service experience at both the Sprague and Orchard St locations. Highly recommend!

DO NOT store your items here unless you want to have it infested with RATS. So so so many rats. They'll defecate and urinate all over your stuff to the point you have to take it to the dump- furniture, clothes, rugs, you name it. They come in through the ceiling. I wish I could give zero stars, or better yet, negative stars. We stored our stuff for a couple months and returned to find thousands of dollars worth of items completely destroyed by rats. Come to find out, this is a known issue here, and the staff continue to recklessly and negligently rent out units they KNOW rats are getting into. Oh, and don't expect an ounce of sympathy from them- it's store at your own risk!! What a joke, you should be ashamed of yourselves Public Storage.

Ameitra was very helpful

We were mistakenly charged for the month after we moved out of our storage unit. The manager at Public Storage admitted that it was a billing error due to an employee not checking us us properly, but after numerous calls to the local office and regional manager, they couldn't confirm that the bill had been corrected. Then last next month we received a collection notice. Public storage has admitted numerous times that this debt is their error and we don't owe them a balance, but we were still mistakenly sent to collections. So, now we have to spend more of our time to dispute it with the collection company. Although this is the closest self-storage facility to us, I warn all my neighbors to stear clear.

This should be ZERO stars. Hope fully this location is under new management. A couple years ago this facility decided to upgrade the locking mechanisms on the storage unit doors. I was deployed, and my emergency contacts were NOT contacted like they should have been. My locks were removed, and a new mechanism installed. When I returned, they had my unit key in the front desk and the customer service counter!!!! My key was not even secured. My unit was completely pillaged. Every piece of military gear was taken, as well as irreplaceable sentimental family items and military memorabilia from my 26 years of service. The assessed loss was over $45K. When I attempted to contact Public Storage, all they could say was that I opted out of their insurance. They couldn't seem to address why they had authorized my locks removed without my consent, and even without notification of my listed contacts. I had my own insurance, so their argument was not only moot, but had nothing to do with what I was trying to get resolved...namely that this was obviously an inside job. The responding police officer was very familiar with this location due to many other thefts. This is a shady company. They even fought my attempts to file complaints with the BBB. Do NOT use this facility, nor any other Public Storage unit. Incidentally, two years later, as I am getting my house renovated, my contractor mentioned his girlfriend had had a lot of stuff stollen from her storage unit. Would you believe, it was the same Public Storage facility on Sprague Ave, Tacoma WA

Convenient location

Ameitra and Anna were wonderful communicators as I looked for a place to store my things when moving from Michigan to the Seattle area. They helped me reserve the perfect storage unit a few weeks before I arrived and told me how to re-reserve it each week so I didn't lose my reservation. I was very grateful for their help, as I really needed an inside unit with climate control in a large size for all my things. Thanks, ladies! FYI that the loading dock for the second floor is very tight - we blocked the alley with our 26' moving truck, but managed to make it work.

Why all these people lying about this storage? The roof leaks and you cant get in. Worst piece of work for management. Lies and NEVER there. Lazy as hell and the place stinks.

So when I come up there to pay my fees and clear my unit what other tricks will you have up your grimy sleeve? The lack of service and professionalism is I guess the best you can expect from people who lack the ability to be humanistic.

Ameitra is an absolute saint. My Husband and I were clearing some stuff out of the unit when he became overwhelmed by the high 80 degree heat. Ametria insisted that he come sit in the air conditioning, despite it being just after closing time. She stayed with him until his dizzy spell passed and sent him off with some cold water bottles. She is an angel.

The ability to reserve online is a huge plus. The facility has great management and is very secure, which is always a huge deal when we put our stuff in the hands of others.

On 6/20/2018 I walked into public storage, with no hope of finding a storage that I needed. The store manager Ameitra informed me that most public storage properties did not have the space that I wanted, due to the 10x20 unit was in high demand because people are moving this weekend. I like that fact that she went out of her way to find me a storage and to put me on a wait list for a storage unit that might be available. I left her office feeling lost because I was on a wait list and there was no guarantee that I was going to get a storage. I started to make reservations at other places mean while Ameitra called me on 6/22/2018. To inform me that she found a unit for me and gave me a discounted rate. To me this was a blessing. I felt like Ameitra went be on the call of duty. She did everything she could to find me a storage. MY FAMILY AND I THANK YOU AMEITRA. FOR CARING ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS.

I have rented from public storage in other locations over the years and have had the kind of experience you would expect from a corporately owned storage rental. Nickel and dime hidden fees, ballooning rental prices... all the sneaky little tricks that corporately owned businesses do to maximize profits. This Public Storage still has some of those things… But what makes it all worth it, is Chris... a consummate professional who truly knows what good customer service is! Thank you Chris! To Public Storage upper management: If you want to continue to see success at this location, give Chris a raise! He deserves it! I can go rent a storage unit from one of 1,000 places in Western Washington… But if I ever need one again, or any of my friends do… I will send them to this location because of Chris!

I was told online my first month rate is a $1. It's false if you come after the first you get charged half the rate. The entrance in the back is bad poor security if you have your items in a smaller unit. I did like Anna, Chris, Rachel they we're helpful.

Don't put your stuff here--unless you don't care about it. Thieves cut the hasp to break into our unit and another in the same area. It was at least two days before the staff noticed the break in. It was another day at least before they replaced the hasp and lock. When we were finally able to get to the unit several weeks later the hasp had been damaged---because thieves had attempted to get in again. The District Manager was very slow to respond to requests for pictures--very unhelpful. The police crime techs are way to familiar with this place. When we cleaned out we found two dead mice. Would never rent from Public Storage again--especially not this place.
