Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3915 Martin Way E, Olympia, WA

Inspired to write my first review just to drag these guys. Money Saver Mini Storage was awesome. Friendly, thorough, and helpful. Since Public Storage took over, being the very opposite would have been an upgrade. Went from great staff in office every day to absolute newbies in office only god knows when. My move in took over an hour. Bonus: the seemingly nifty app for access only works about 10% of the time. But the worst part? $$$. I made a reservation with Money Saver on August 2 for a move in August 13. Experience between August 2 and 12: awesome (shout out to Blue! You were great). But then I’m told I can no longer check in August 13 because they’re changing over ownership. Unfortunate, but ok. Then I arrive on August 15 to move in, and suddenly, my reservation doesn’t exist. Nor does the “50% off of $175/mon for first 3 months” discount I was promised with that reservation. The two ladies at the front desk just have a “sorry, we can only set you up with $1 for the first month, then $225/months after that. Email our district manager, maybe he’ll honor the discount you were promised.” (I save you the math: that’s a $188 difference, just in the first 3 months.) Well, it’s moving day, and I have no choice but to sign up with the new (worse) discount. But I do reach out to Scott Diaz (district manager) to tell him I’m not happy and ask him for the discount I was promised. Well, it’s been 2 weeks, and I’ve gotten absolute radio silence. Not even a “sorry, we’re more worried about profits than service, so no, we’re just gonna screw you over.” Finally managed to find someone in office a few days ago (because there’s rarely someone there) and confirmed his email. Yes, it’s right. He’s just ignoring me. I’m stuck with them for now, but I’m moving my stuff as soon as possible. And I suggest you find anywhere but Public Storage.
