Lashanda..was very pleasant and very friendly, helpful as well made me feel safe with my vehicle being stored
They do not communicate, call back or respond to current customers. I have called in now 4 times and was.told I wwwould recieve a call back from the Manager and never did. The bill has increased to an outrageous dollar amount when they dont control the temperature in their climate control units as it was nearly 90 degrees inside! I have had a unit here for years and they rip you off for being loyal and they don't provide according to your contract as to what you are paying for. I have attempted to contact and contacted them more then 20 times, most without response and only temporarily fixed the temperature in the units. Don't rent from here a temperature controlled unit or your stuff will be ruined!

RATS, RATS RATS. This place is infested with RATS. If you do not get their insurance they do not care. I wasn't aware it was the customers responsibility to protect the property from RATS and BUGS. When you speak to staff they don't care. Do not waste your money here. This place is a dump! Why pay to store your property at a facility that is not safe and definitely not sanitary. RATS will destroy your belongings! All these units have holes in the bottom and the top so RATS can go from unit to unit as they please. If one unit has RATS they all have them!
UPDATE Had to get my own traps and have already caught 2 RATS.

I am so impressed and so grateful for the customer service Lashanda provided. She went above and beyond in helping ensure I was taken care of. The internet was down and I had driven from Charleston to establish an account and store some items in my unit. Lashanda was kind, professional. and ensured I was able to open an account and get into my storage unit that same day.

My experience with local on site people has always been stellar.
I had a 10x20 unit for 7 years and the rates were raised every year until I was paying nearly $500/month!!! A never missed or had a late payment. Not much of a reward for customer loyalty.
I went on line, cancelled my space and rented a smaller 7.5x15 that turned out to be across the hallway, making my move to downsize very easy. The local ladies were very helpful in making sure my old account was cancelled and a new one started.
I spoke with corporate a number of times seeking information on the reasons for the rate increase but got no satisfaction other than one time they gave me a Six month “discount”.

Shacola and Lashonda are FANTASTIC!!!! Lashonda has been helping me here for years now, and though I only met Shacola today, she was so warm and gracious. I walked in today and she was being verbally abused by a phone customer, I could literally could hear the lady's wild rudness from the counter! Shacola handled it with far more grace and patience that I could have! 2 five star employees you have here!!!

This is the biggest garbage storage facility you can find, and here’s why. They are infested with rats. Rats chewed through multiple bags of clothes and chewed through our mattresses and they pooped on everything.
Also, our initial agreement was $115 a month and every 2-3 months they raised the price on us. Our last payment was $320. They raise the storage rent anytime they want.
When we finally decided to move our stuff out, they threatened to charge us $500 if we left anything behind. We complained about the rats 10+ times bc so much of our clothes and a new king size bed is ruined.
And, the employees that work here are rude and disrespectful. Garbage businesses hire garbage help. The only thing they want is more and more money while they do nothing about the rat infestation and take no responsibility on your things being ruined.
This place is garbage. It’s a shady business that you should stay far away from.
If I could give business a negative rating, they would get a negative 5 stars.

My mom paid for her storage shed for two months know they saying she owes them 500 dollars when she is already caught up they wont let her get her stuff out until she pays the 500 even tho she has the recipt for the two months

The staff at the parris island location are the ONLY ones who deserve the 5 stars. They are absolutely wonderful people who you can always count on to put a smile on your face. Corporate deserves no stars!! I'll say it again they will raise your rent every couple of months regardless how many YEARS you have been with them. If your an individual like me who has a full 3 bedroom house hold in one unit, the last thing we want to do is move to another unit. Corporate will do nothing for you but lower the cost for one month. That has nothing to do with the amazing staff. The staff will do whatever they can to keep your business and make things easier for you but the increase every couple of months is all corporate and absolutely ridiculous! To the staff at my location, thank you everything you all have done for me for all these years. You all are the real MVPs. You all are the only reason I stay at this location

The location in Beaufort, SC engages in fraudulent advertising. They advertise on local site 1$ for 1st month. Also, on Yelp, when u open their website, it is advertised. When I inquired about it, she stated, " I don't do that." They also stated my unit had only 1 available. Therefore, I reserved and paid. That was false. I cancelled the reservation and was told via live chat that I would receive a refund in 5-7 days back to credit card. The next day, I got a refund for the lock only 21.34. I called again and was told 5-7 days. Today, I called a 3rd time, had a wait of over 16 min, and was told I would receive a check in 6-8 weeks. I canceled when the charge was still pending. Per SC law, refunds must be made to the original form of payment. I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney Generals office and also the FCC due to fraudulent business practices. I am speaking of the Beaufort SC location only. I have no knowledge of any other location, but I must saw, there app is buggy and hard to navigate. They have only 1 star reviews on Yelp because u have to rate them with at least 1 star. No reviewer on that site had anything good to say about this location. I believe they are TRYING to play hard ball because of my reviews and complaints. It speaks volumes as to the integrity of this company. BTW, I found a different unit, 1 mile away, 1$ first month, and for a lesser charge for subsequent months. Public Storage also charged a 29$ administrative fee, yet I did it all myself online. Is this the kind of company you want to do business with? I will let u decide and only offer up my experience.

If you need longterm storage find something else, cause your bill is gonna keep growing every year! I started at $99. Four years later I'm at $160!!! The girls inside are awesome, and explained that the owners taxes went up. I feel like it was still too much! I did this review for Public Storage in Shell Point.

The facility is nice. They gave us a price that was reasonable for the area. Then increased our rent 3 times one of the increases was almost 30%. I would advise you look elsewhere. They will raise your rent.

The entrance and exit are confusing and weirdly designed. Someone possibly could hurt themselves or others attempting to maneuver around/inside this obstacle course.
I've been using their services since 2013. And they just doubled the prices of their storage buildings from the original pricing of $207 to $416/month. For the same storage room.
