Great space, location and staff. Was a bit confused on how to locate. While in lobby area an awesome employee by the name of Julia assisted me in finding unit and explaining basics of renting with Public Storage. Prices are competitive and hours are good(Although I would recommend 24 hour acces). Great place overall.

Disappointed by Price Hikes and Poor Service
We’ve had to rent two units at Public Storage because one wasn’t large enough to hold everything from our 4-bedroom home. What started at $80/month has now jumped to $130—twice in just six months. That kind of increase feels excessive, especially without any improvements in service.
Late fees kick in if you don’t pay by the 5th, which is understandable. But what’s frustrating is the lack of communication. I’ve called multiple times before the due date with questions, and no one ever answers. Calls aren’t returned until after the deadline, which feels like a setup for late fees.
The facility closes at 9pm, which limits access, and to make matters worse, debris from the neighboring unit keeps ending up on our belongings. It’s messy, unprofessional, and not what we expected when trusting them with our household items.

Poor communication, storage unit size I needed and viewed was open closer to the entrance but they said they couldn’t guarantee that one but if I wanted it after I was assigned one I could reapply to get and have to pay admin fee again! They told me I could decline the insurance if my policy covered rental I declined online and was charged anyway.

Started out great. Nice, competitive but slightly cheaper price of $120 a month in Jan or Feb of this year. In July it went up to $193 and today I just got an email saying that as of Jan 1st it will go up to $246 😳 that's absolutely insane. So it seems like they get you there with a cheap price, then once you have all your stuff there they continually and DRASTICALLY raise the price since it's not exactly the easiest thing to just move a whole storage unit elsewhere. So I guess this next month we'll be renting a box truck to move ourselves elsewhere. 0/10 do not recommend!

Now I have dealt with Public before which is why I returned. I went to this location and they did not honor my reservation although I came to my reservation. I was told that I reserved the promotion but not the space so although I paid for a specific space I didn’t get it because somebody else went online and claimed it. Now I’m stuck with a storage that’s not even accommodating to my things.

This is the worst place to store anything. This storage is on the eastside of indy and they sure do take advantage of people that live in the area. Cons 1. Will not answer the phone 2. Not at all informative. 3. Will cut into the wall of your storage to see what is there. Will fluctuate prices Starting out high and then go higher. Mice will make chip bites on your furniture/ wood items. These people are basically incompetent when it comes to answering questions you might have. But will ring your phone off the hook and send emails constantly. After being one day late. There is alot of lies and inconsistencies with these people. Most can be very forceful and rude as well when it comes to that monthly money. This public storage IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT!
The storage bill is actually a car payment. And when they find that you are moving out the emails start to come about WERE SORRY YOUR LEAVING WHAT EVER WHAT EVER WHAT EVER. NEVER AGAIN

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! Their customer service is non existent. They do not provide any type of garbage cans so people leave their trash all over. There was a pack of ground beef on the ground outside for at least 3 days, and the hallways are strewn with debris. The "property manager" Hershey is very rude and unprofessional. We have used public storage in several states and this by far is the worst. We will be switching to another company at the end of our month after this experience. Public Storage in general, not necessarily bad, but the location matters. This one needs new management!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never seen a storage buisness where no one is never available on sight, where no one never answer your calls, where every single person that works here, are incompetent and shiesty. You know it is sad to know that it is a difference in price depending on where you do buisness. Go toward fortville and pendleton and see how wonderful and reasonable the pricing are for storage units without any constant monthly increases. Anytime you do buisness on the eastside of town they're going to jack prices way way up. They are going to allow break ins and do absolutely nothing about it. There is going to be rodents coming in from someone else's storage unit eating on your furniture clothes ect... it's called price gouging charging customers to much money for a little bit of nothing. And notice the main manager is never ever available. I am passionate about how I feel and sickened at the same time at businesses like this that take advantage of hard working people that just can not afford to pay a storage unit what someone would pay for a car note and insurance. Something needs to change or people need to go elsewhere.

The ABSOLUTE worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called the 800 number to ask about the $1 first month promotion (like the website says to do) and set up a reservation. The lady that answered the phone was so unprofessional it's hard to describe. I asked about the 10x10 indoor unit that I was looking at on the website...when I asked about the $1 for the first month...she flipped out on me. When I told her the website says to call the 800 number to get that promotion...she said " I KNOW what the promotions are...I do work here!" When I tried to explain what the website said, she started yelling about the memorial day sale and that I was "lucky they were doing any promotions at all". I finally said I wasn't going to rent from them if this is their attitude towards new customers and I hung up. She had the audacity to call back and say that they would NOT honor any promotions for me at all. Glad I went with Exta Space Storage instead. Its a breathe of fresh air over there.
Called trying to get some information on some different storage units for a company, the guy said he '',isn't about to go through a bunch of different units with me'', when I asked about the standard 5x5 size unit. Because he was rude and unprofessional, i will not be storing here. I would advise you not to go here if they have a attitude answering questions. by the way this all happened within 2 mins, its not like I asked a bunch of questions at all!
I made a reservation for $108. On the day of the move-in, they jacked up the price, even though I have proof of the original rate. Plus, their on-line registration has been a complete disaster, causing me to already waste 90 minutes trying to set up an account.
My representative Corinne was very resourceful and very polite. She knew what she was talking about. I couldn't get my lock on my unit, I went to the office and talked to her about it....and she showed me what to do. Before I could get back to my unit, she was there and showed my daughter how to put the lock on. Public Storage is very nice and friendly. I would recommend Public Storage to my family and friends.
