I wouldn’t recommend storing your stuff here. Someone tried to break into my unit. No one told me, I randomly stop by a week or two later to find a hole in the wall and latch halfway broken off. The employees told me they saw it yet no one reached out to me. They couldn’t even fix it without putting in a request. I ended up fixing it myself that day not having the time to move all my stuff to another unit that day. They don’t lock the doors on the inside units and The fence on the side is low. For the cost of the place You think it would be secured with locking doors and a Barbwire Fence.

I visited this Public Storage in Eagle Rock during a very stressful time in my life- finding myself homeless with nowhere to go or to store my belongings. I initially had severe anxiety, thinking they were closed on Saturday but realized the employee was at lunch when I first arrived there. You would think there would be some type of signage or notification that they are just at lunch. They finally opened but there was another hurdle, apparently they can't take credit card information over the phone. So I had to figure out that issue as well. The employees were helpful enough. They definitely don't go out of their way to be helpful but are efficient enough, just not overly friendly or helpful. They had a discount - $1 for the first month (the total ended up being around $52 after the administration fees). After the first month it will cost $120ish which seems pretty expensive for a 5X5 space but if it's the only option, it's the only option.

Unprofessional I made a payment twice online one of those payments showed it didn't go through so I send my husband to pay it in person by the time he got there the payment was already posted but yet they went ahead and charged my husband but they charged him for the following month so I requested for that payment to be refunded and of course it took 4-5 days to get a refund now the second payment I did online on the 11th which is the lastday before they charge a late fee I did and I got an email confirmation of my payment days later I got another email Stating to pay my storage to avoid a lien on my space which I was not notified by my bank nor my bank account was not charged now they refuse to refund me the late fees 🤢🤢

Tried getting into my unit but the elevator wouldn’t work. Tried to get into the office (during office hours) but couldn’t because it was locked. Tried calling and nobody answered. Will try again but that was an hour I will never get back 👎

I would not recommend this place. They constantly ratchet up the prices of their storage spaces. In December of 2021 the roof leaked and damaged many of our belongings. I look forward to getting my stuff out of here. I would warn you that the prices are good to get you in but they will quickly be increased.

It's better to go see available units in person and then choose the one that fits in your budget, they have online move in discounts 1st month only or ask if they will honored same rate. Great customer service.

I had to write a review today because I was witness to the rudest customer ever and Juan handled it like a true professional. I do not understand why some people have to be jerks, especially when they are the people using 2 of the carts and blocking the entrance to the building. To whom it may concern at this public storage, there is no one to help you as yesterday Friday. My daughter went to our public storage to pick up something so we were able to get in to Public Storage as we were getting out of the car. My code did not work on the elevator, so we tried and tried, the lady at the desk said come to the office so we did and we had told her that it wasn’t working. She said that we were trespassing. I did not get her name nor the other person‘s name but she went off of my daughter, so I was not gonna let that happen so if you wanna Rent from here, I wouldn’t rent from there. I’m moving my stuff somewhere else. Also the other one is a lot better it’s smaller, but customer service is a lot nicer. Please don’t come here and rent. They don’t help you nor nobody in the office. stating that she said that I was trespassing and I had a key in my hand. It’s just my code did not work for the elevator. She called the police on me.

Let me start off by saying this location was absolutely wonderful to me since I’ve had my storage there from 2011 up until 5 days ago. I lived out of state and came to empty my unit a few days ago. Juan should be employee of the century because he helped me out and was so kind. His service was above and beyond and it shows that he cares about customers. Issac was also there and was so warm and kind. Both of them are the type of people we need more of in this service industry and humanity.

I recently rented out a storage space at the Verdugo Rd location and was helped out by Juan. He was clear, patient, and took the time to attend to everyone who we walked by during the tour who was in need of assistance. The space and location suited my needs and it’s a plus that the staff was so professional. It seems that the tech equipment could use an upgrade but the service was top notch. And thank God the main entrance and indoor spaces are air conditioned in this heat.

Update 5/11/24 Things are looking much better They seem to be doing a good job eradicating the vermin problem and put traps everywhere on the outside as well. The vermin were caused by a nasty tenant that kept food in their 2nd floor indoor storage unit. Not sure what it like on the inside but I hear there is still a rat problem 🤮 They also compensated me with a free month of rent and match my old rate for the nicer outside unit I now have. The MGMT on site especially JUAN, also helped me move all my stuff! BIG THANKS to the team at the eagle rock location I greatly appreciate your help! And thanks to Corporate for the compensations!!!🤠hope you fix the buildings problem?!🥴 Will keep renting the outside unit🤠

Five stars for the young man (Juan)working the desk, but corporate is not doing enough about the HUGE rat infestation on the indoor units. I went to check out my relative's unit on the third floor (the indoor temperature controlled unit), and I nearly got knocked out by the intense smell of urine and ammonia. There are rat droppings lining the hallway, and the rats are destroying the items in several units. They need a team to come in and help the renters to sanitize and move their items. It is absurd and completely disgusting especially considering that they are charging my relative $700 a month and not help her move her items (that are not yet destroyed to a safe unit). Shame on corporate for letting this go on for so long. They also should have more than one person. Juan is running around like crazy trying to do everything, and he is one of the best in customer service I have ever encountered.

Great location, accommodating manager. Downsides are carts are insufficient, office is way understaffed--only 1 person, and great as he is, there should be 2 or 3. When he goes on lunch break there is...a long telephone message, and voicemail. I literally had to stand out on the street till he came back from lunch. At the very least, they should give him a sign to say when he will be back. Also, I didn't have an issue myself, but I ran into 2 clients moving out their stuff (3/26) after what they said was a big rat infestation issue on the 3d floor. One gentleman said he lost $10K of goods. Corporate HQ is close by in Glendale; I hope they can resolve this quickly and staff the place properly.

The women in the office were great. S/o Karina. Storage locker is what they all are, functional and nothing more. Had to wait a while for the office to open, though I was there at 3 pm. Would have been great to get a note on the door to know when - or if - to expect someone. Tried calling the number on the door, but no one answered. Still, happy to have my storage here.

There is a stench from the 3rd floor in one of the storage buildings that needs to be rid of. It is coming from someone's storage that MUST BE FUMIGATED! That person's storage is contaminating everyone's storage units.

So today I rented a storage unit And Juan the Manager was very helpful 👍 hey answered all my questions and was very polite And was just a pleasure to do bussiness with looking forward to seeing him around the facility

We’ve been here since 2020. We love how clean it was the past few years. Juan has been so nice and helpful. But we noticed a staffing issue. There’s no one in the front desk when we needed help. Sometimes I’m waiting for 10mins.

I was looking for a small storage unit to help with some overflow of my moving boxes. Juan was so incredibly patient and helpful showing us around to the different units and giving us tips to help maximize space. Juan was with us from the day I signed up to the day I needed to cancel my storage unit and was helpful and polite throughout the entire experience. I didn’t need a storage unit for a long time and the space I had was perfect! The facility is clean and so are the carts that are available for use. When I return, I will definitely be coming back to this public storage location.

This location is nice, clean, and well lit. Manager Juan was really helpful and accommodating for an online vs in person pricing discrepancy and also walked me around to view various units. I appreciated the thorough explanations, patience and positivity. I would rent here again.

I have had a great experience with Public Storage, and this particular location. I considered another company in another area for business needs. A quick tour of alternatives showed me why I should remain here. Starting with the property manager Juan. He's professional, engaging, and customer service oriented. I left my lock on the door improperly. To notice the lock was not actually securing the door required sharp eyes! He called me and I was able to protect my belongings! The facility is clean, and the security is up to date. 5 stars for the location manager Juan, and 5 stars for the site. I don't typically do public reviews but this exceptional experience is warranted!

As other reviews have mentioned, Juan is really top notch. I met him while he was doing his rounds. He saw me and engaged with me to make sure I didn’t have any issues. When I mentioned the issues I had, he offered useful advice. Nice to see people that care about doing a good job. As for Public Storage as a whole: The rent increases are awful. Way too high of an increase with no protection or option for locking in a long term lease. But if you have to pick a Public Storage facility, go with this one (unless the demand raises my rent, in which case, go somewhere else).

Save your money and go somewhere else. This place is shady. They quote you one price that they start to raise within 3 months of you staying there. They'll bring it back down to what they originally agreed for another month and then kick it back up saying that they can't give you another decrease. To give you an example of their predatory practices, I started off paying $330 last June and it increased to $480 in less than a year. I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I was unable to access my storage I was frustrated and confused I had customer service on chat assist me but it seemed there was an error in my account I was waiting more than 30 minutes with no access as my code didn't work After waiting I met Juan who was super helpful kind and understanding of my situation He cleared up what prevented me access to my storage and took care of me I feel bad because I didn't know office hours start at 930am not at 9am if corporate can update this on their doors and send some help as he was bombarded with clients alone He deserves a raise!!!!

Just got the keys to my storage unit and everything is great! Juan really went above and beyond giving me a tour of the unit and property as well as sharing some helpful tips. The place is clean and well cared for. Juan is doing an awesome job!

There are some very nice things about this facility--mainly the managers Andrew and Juan! They are incredible, diligent, kind, and professional! The company on the other hand--I rented a unit in February, they raised my rent by $100 about 3 months later which is a BIG increase percentage wise, about 40%. I always pay on time and use auto pay. I requested a reduction, the first one was denied, so I started looking around at other options. Then Juan, saw that I was ready to leave, put in another request and got my rent back down! Both Juan and Andrew go above and beyond, were it not for them I would have given public storage 2 stars and moved out.

As a first time storage renter, Juan provided a very thorough, yet concise orientation to the property and the location of our unit. He took the time to walk me through the building so I wouldn't get lost, and gave some helpful tips to make our move-in less stressful. Public Storage and this property is lucky to have someone with his impeccable customer service and communication skills. He truly cares for each client. One thing I do hope for him and his other associates is for the company to provide them with a portable phone in the event of an emergency, or if a customer needs to get a hold of them while they're making rounds or moving someone in. Hope Juan is here to stay. Thanks again!

5 stars for Juan and the team at this facility. 1 star for the corporate level. So, I've been storing things at this facility for about the last eight years, but I've been trying to slowly whittle everything down. Recently, I made the decision to consolidate my two units into one slightly smaller unit for half the monthly price after they recently raised the monthly payments on both of my units by 29%. Juan, who I've been working with at this facility, has been extremely helpful over the last week trying to make that happen. Unfortunately, the new unit I was going to move into turned out to be much smaller than what was advertised on the website. It wasn't even close. I was planning to rent a 10x20, but in reality, it was 9'3" x 18'. So, instead of 200 square feet, it was only 166.5 square feet. I was told I needed to call the corporate number to discuss it with them. The person I ended up talking to at the corporate level could have cared less. When I mentioned that the missing square footage was more than the 5x5's they rent and so they should discount what I was supposed to be paying, he told me that in the agreement I signed that it says the dimensions are "an approximation." 33.5 square feet off is not an approximation, and if they want to make it an approximation, it's actually closer to a 10x15 than a 10x20 and should be rented as such. Either way, I felt I should get a discount. He wouldn't budge, so I canceled the space. After getting off the phone, I went and measured my two current spaces. They, too, are smaller than advertised. One is 140 sq. feet vs. 150. The other is 86 sq. feet vs. 100. So, to sum things up: 1) The team members at this location, particularly Juan, are fantastic and extremely helpful. If you have to rent a storage space, this is a good place to do so for that reason. 2) The Public Storage corporate level is awful. To get anything done, you have to ask for a manager. I ended up having to speak to four separate people over three separate calls before this was resolved, and I believe the final person I spoke with after asking for a manager referred to herself as as an "Account Resolution Specialist." The fact that you have to elevate something to get to an "account resolution specialist" seems a little backwards. I'd hope the first person you speak to at the national number would be an "account resolution specialist." 3) Bring a tape measure with you and check the square footage. It will undoubtedly be less. My bad for not checking the two units I'm currently in. DO NOT SIGN anything until you've measured the unit you're renting or else you'll end up causing yourself extra work. 4) If the corporate team had been more helpful and discounted the monthly rate, I would likely have stayed and made that unit work. However, I've found a true 10x20 at another company completely - Extra Space Storage - that is about 30% (yes - you read that right) the cost of what I'm paying currently for my two units, and so I'm contemplating moving everything there. While a lot more work, the thought of potentially saving a few thousand dollars makes the initial effort worth it.

I’ve had a storage unit at this location for over a year. My interaction with the staff has been minimal - I haven’t needed to connect with them. This past weekend I ran into an issue and Juan was overwhelmingly helpful. He did all he could to resolve my issue. When he wasn’t able to he kept me up to date on how the matter was being resolved with realistic time frames. Public Storage was able to deliver on their promise. I was so blown away by Juan’s attention to detail and his customer service. Sadly, we don’t see this type of service very much anymore these days. Juan seriously blew me away. Juan at Public Storage on Eagle Rock Boulevard is the best customer service representative I've ever had in decades. I was moving into a new apartment and needed to rent a storage unit. I called Public Storage and spoke to Juan. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and helped me find the perfect unit. When I went to the storage facility to pick up my keys, Juan was there to greet me. He was friendly and professional. He gave me the best tour of the facility ever. The facility itself is picturesque and a pool is right next door as well as the post office conveniently located. He showed me to my unit and helped me get settled in. I am so happy with my decision to rent a storage unit from Public Storage. The facility is clean and secure. Juan is always available to help me with anything I need. He's truly a great employee and I'm so grateful for his excellent customer service. If you're looking for a storage facility, I highly recommend Public Storage on Eagle Rock Boulevard. Went there to inquire about a unit and was assisted by Fabi, she was so knowledgeable and nice to me, she made me feel like she cared and likes what she does.
