Do not rent from this facility under any circumstance. It is absolutely not secure or safe. Our unit has been broken into twice. You read that correct—they broke a hole in the drywall and attempted to steal from our unit. Other tenants have had similar incidents. We are moving out and finding a much more reliable company.

Garbage. They don’t do walk throughs when they’re about to close not letting people know they’re about to close the gates and they leave you locked inside. Older man said they should know what time they close but forgets that most people are to busy trying to move their stuff into a storage not paying attention to time and whatnot.

Our unit was broken into twice in the same month. Nothing taken the first time, but after we entered the unit with staff, there was the second break-in. Just enough was stolen to not qualify as a felony. When we called the police so we could get a police report, they said this building gets calls for break-ins frequently.

I am really happy to have rented at this location because the manager Mário took great care of me and helped me a lot with everything! I spent 2 hours on the phone because the first person who answered me put my email address wrong and the second person who answered me didn't resolve it and was very rude on the phone! And on top of that, they didn't send me the gate codes that I needed to get in! After waiting 3 hours, a young man answered me and scheduled me with Mr. Mário. I met him this morning and he fixed all the errors that were in the system. He explained everything to me with great care, patience and attention! And I saw him doing the same with absolutely everyone who was coming in looking for help! He did it alone and with a smile and with all the kindness in the world! Mr. Mário, thank you very much for working with so much love and respect.

Mario at Public Storage is a great person to work with. Even if I have issue access their building at times due to power wheel chair access not 100% effective if not for lower wheel chair I don’t see why you would have problem there. That’s the reason why I gave star 4 :( but services and storage is 5 star! They have restroom there and seem secured building. If power wheel chair and or scooter. We have to access from back of building where people pull up to either load or unload from moving companies. There’s no power wheel chair access at the front building and several steps up to their front office.

I had a smooth check in process. The manager was also helpful as I was moving in. Great and friendly staff. The site was clean, safe with moderate temperature. The team goes above and beyond to ensuring loading and unloading is safe and easygoing. There are enough dollys to help multiple movers.

This is easily the best managed storage unit facility I’ve ever used. Mario is so incredibly helpful, friendly & makes me happy each time I see him. So grateful for Mario!

I have been a customer at the downtown Public Storage facility for a few years now and have changed units twice as my needs changed and I can say without a doubt that it's been the best experience I've ever had at a storage center.
First and foremost, the facility itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The storage units are well-lit, and the entire facility has a sense of security and professionalism.
What truly set this Public Storage location apart, however, was the remarkable management and customer service offered by Mario. From the get-go, he displayed a level of professionalism and friendliness that made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Moreover, he's a joy to talk to.
Mario went above and beyond at every step of the process and you can see while you're there that he takes pride in his work and has a keen eye for detail.
My time at Public Storage in downtown LA was made exceptional by the clean and well-maintained facility, but more importantly, by the outstanding service provided by Manager Mario. In an era where customer service is seemingly falling by the wayside in many industries, it's a distinct pleasure to encounter a manager who genuinely cares about their customers.
Location, cleanliness, and service are top notch here. I've had random storage units throughout the years and this location is by far the best. Have to give a shoutout to Mario over there, who is always the nicest you could imagine, goes above and beyond, and makes storing here even better. With the holiday special I was able to trade up a size without carrying a balance which literally saved my life! Renting here for 10 years and I've been happy with the location, hours, and service. I needed to switch units multiple times due to how much or how little storage I needed and Mario, the property manager, always provided excellent service and helped me get to the next unit no problem.

Mario was so friendly and helpful the entire time. I really appreciated how enthusiastic and kind he was whenever I had any questions. Always greeting me and telling me to have a good day :) The elevators sometimes will go out of service, leaving only one to work so keep that in mind if you notice it’s a particularly busy day (you will have to be patients and take your time). Other than that the facility was clean and I had a very positive experience. 🩷 ps: You need to download the public storage app before arriving so you have access to the doors and elevators

This location, is hidden in between the hustle and bustle of art district in LA. It does get a bit hectic here with all the trucks trying to get the bay to empty their stuff but hey, luckily they have great group of employees that make it easier on everyone. Mario is the best!! He is the onsite manager that can help you find the best storage unit that is comfortable for you and your belongings to keep them safe as well as his knowledge to help you get a great deal on purchasing a unit to make it easier for you to make your decision and help relieve the anxiety if you think you may have enough space!! Mario, the manager of the facility, made this a very easy and pleasant experience. Communicative, helpful - and when I had to race back before closing because I’d left my house keys in the locker, he reassured me he’d be there if I was just running a bit late.
I’m glad I used this place, and feel a lot better about leaving my belongings because of their attentiveness.
I had a storage unit at that facility for over 20 years. Mario was the main reason I stayed so long. He is helpful, kind, patient, and always tried to accommodate my needs and understood my concerns. We had a few good laughs, too. Unfortunately, I had to move to another location closer to where I live, but I will miss Mario. I wish there would be more people like him. Compared to other storage places I visited, Mario’s storage facility is clean and free of pests.

I needed a storage in DTLA and stumbled across this location in the Arts District. They were closing in 20 minutes and yet Mario, the manager helped me get situated with enough time to bring in some of my belongings. Mario is the kindest and most helpful employee ever! He works so hard all alone, but it always such a pleasure. I know for certain he is not being paid enough to run this facility so efficiently. Mario made my move in so great! He was so incredibly kind. After my movers took entirely too long to pack my things into their truck, it seriously delayed us getting to the storage unit. The building was supposed to close at 5pm. We arrived at 4:40pm. Mario was empathetic towards me and my situation and went above and beyond to ensure my move in was as smooth and quick as possible. He allowed us a little extra time so that all my things could be moved in. He even checked on me during the whole process because he could tell I was having a bad experience with my movers. I’m so grateful for him. He made sure that my move would end on a high note! Thank you Mario!

I can’t say enough about the service. We arrived at 4pm on Saturday, not realizing that it closed at 5pm, and Mario was gracious enough to keep the door open. Sacrificing his time for us to finish loading in.
This was a terrible mistake on our part, but he never seemed annoyed. He was friendly the entire time and even helped prop some doors on the inside to make it go smoother. We are very happy we came to this place.

Due to some personal reason I needed to close the unit but I was unable to return to the country and move out myself. Mario and the staff at public storage were amazing! They helped me releasing my stuff, getting rid of everything I have left in the storage, and finally closed my account. Really appreciate their work!

Clean place, nice staff but expect multiple rent increases per year, with increases as high as 30% each time.
In less than 4 months I received a rent increase of 30%. They claim its because of "the market". Nothing in their business model, besides greed, justifies this. As Michelle told me, If that doesn't work for you, you're welcome to move to larger apartment or home. Looking forward to when my broken foot heals so I can take my business elsewhere.

First time I've rented a storage space and the overall experience here was good. This location in particular could use a ramp to get your goods onto its ground level. Be prepared to lift things. There is no ramp for a dolly.
As for the facilities, they are serviceable. Clean. I had a small 5x5 storage space. The hallways are narrow.
All entrances are accessible (unlockable) via the app, and all have keypads.
The building manager is a nice dude. (Sorry for not remembering his name). If you need help with anything, all you gotta do is ask.
Overall, I'm happy with my experience storing my junk at this location.
