Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 20585 County Rd 13, Fairhope, AL

My experience was pleasant thanks to Mercedes !!! She is patient and has excellent customer service skills thank you for helping me

Since being sold to public storage it's become a big hassle. Update 10/27/26- the hassles continue. It's been several days and multiple trips and I am still unable to access my unit due too the electronic access not working. I was promised 3 days ago it would get fixed. Someone was flying in from "corporate" to address the situation as multiple units were experiencing issues. They would call me back with an update...still waiting. Left a message earlier today and no response back.

Spoke with Sierra about different size units she made sure to give great detail . I will most definitely recommend Public Storage .

If you store here, ask for Mercedes. She is very friendly and knowledable.

Mercedes was really kind and very helpful!

Sierra was very helpful and polite. She definitely takes accountability of the property. Will definitely recommend everyone to Sierra in fairhope 😊

The staff is courteous, pleasant to deal with. They made sure paperwork was completed, network connection was working and even took care of the app on my phone.

I stopped by yesterday and spoke with sierra about comparing prices on some units and she was amazing on details about the units , i will definitely be recommending people to public storage in fairhope to speak with sierra!

Outstanding customer service! Moving or setting up storage can usually be a hassle, but Sierra at the Fairhope Public Storage made it completely seamless. She was polite, clear with all details, and made sure I was well taken care of. If you visit this location, you're in great hands with Sierra!

Informative

Reducing my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. We have been stranded out of our units on many occasions during our 1.5 month tenancy. It cost us 5 additional hrs one trip during our exhausting move which then resulted in us having to incur the cost of an overnight hotel stay for $130 not being able to finish our moving during the daylight hours and because by the time their lockout issue was resolved (by having to eventually cut the actual lock off of the unit) it was then storming outside (torrential downpour and lightning). ****We could have avoided all of this by simply being able to access our unit timely.**** We had to unnecessarily stay overnight in a hotel because we were exhausted from moving, drenched by being rained on, many of our items got soaked and by this point of thr night it was storming and we couldn’t just drive 3 hrs to our temporary residence. Another recent weekend trip was important for us to swing by and grab my wife’s passport she accidentally put in storage for a customs and immigrations appointment. We couldn’t get in one of our units to find it. By a stroke of luck my wife found it in our other unit but we still needed some items from the unit we were locked out of. It’s basically like playing musical chairs on what unit on what day will work. And don’t plan on going on a weekend bc you won’t get much luck with actual human help or maintenance to come help. Often times these locks have to be grinded off by the facilities that use these locks bc they routinely act up. I have also been out here and have had neighboring tenants so upset I saw one man cussing loudly and trying to get his lock to work and couldn’t get in. The people are friendly who work for Storeease but the cost and frustration isn’t worth the hassle. Better to just have a good old fashioned lock and key system. We’ve been using locks and keys since the Roman Times. Why change?

Courtney is the best! There were a few beginning issues but I fortunately had Courtney answer the phone and both times, she was quick to solve the problem.

D'Licia is an incredible employee! She was so very helpful and knowledgable finding my husband and I a spot for a boat we were potentially getting Friday afternoon. She called me Yesterday (7/18) to see if we got "moved" in okay; but told her we didn't end up getting the boat so she offered to give us an immediate refund. I was not expecting to get a refund but she was so understanding and kind about our situation. I booked everything and spoke to her only over the phone but she was so incredibly pleasant and bubbly. She deserves not only a raise but some acknowledgment of what a great employee she is and her excellence in customer service. Once we do find the right vessel, we will 100% go back for her at the Fairhope location for our business. :)

I hate automated systems, but the support that Ammar provided made things much easier. Thanks Ammar for going the extra mile.

Excellent customer service! Had a small issue on my end getting set up online. Courtney reached out to me and helped me through the process and got it taken care of. Smooth and easy process to rent and I like the smart features this storage facility uses and they have an app. The pricing is also really good compared to the local competitors who are more expensive and lack using technology for their units. Will continue to use this company for my long term storage needs.

Ammar was really helpful, professional and knowledgeable when I spoke with him about upgrading our unit. He immediately sent me all the documents I needed and even walked me through how to switch back for between the access for our old unit and the new.

on at least four occasions in the last year, I have been unable to access my unit while I was there with professional movers who were on the clock. The batteries are always dead or not working, and the doors are often jammed. It has cost us quite a bit of lost revenue since we use this for our business. This past week it has happened twice. The first time the batteries were dead to the unit and it couldn’t be accessed and after waiting an unreasonable amount of time for customer service to answer the phone, they informed me that they didn’t have any extra batteries and wouldn’t have any until the next day because someone went home with them. I had reserved a moving company to make deliveries and had to cancel after they were already there and pay them. Today I went back again and could not access the back door to get in. I waited on hold for customer service for 24 minutes and never got a person and again had to pay movers AGAIN to sit there and do nothing and ultimately cancel the delivery they were trying to make. This place is very poorly run. I’d do not recommend it at all if you need routine reliable access to your property. I left messages at lunchtime and even went inside and attempted to access the so-called virtual receptionist trying to get emergency help and never heard back from anyone at all.

Extremely patience, kind and very knowledgeable while we tried to navigate technology at our age. Awesome experience 💙 and Easy to access a real person on the Phone!!

I had a few questions regarding rental for my boat and Rich was super to deal with. He actually reserved a unit prior to me completing the paperwork so that it met my requirements for backing my boat in. With the first month free rent it was a no brainer.

Amar was extremely helpful accessing my account. I live 4 hours away so I can’t just drop by. Definitely gonna call him the next time I get locked out of the system.

Amman did a great job of getting us access to my new unit!

So easy to get a unit and access. Electric lock and app is convenient

Storage is climate controlled & secure which was exactly what I needed!
