"I initially had a very negative experience on September 29th, when I visited the facility. The property manager at the time, Chelle, was extremely rude and unwilling to assist with completing my unit reservation. Her lack of customer service was disappointing and not what I expected from Public Storage.
However, after leaving my initial review, I was contacted by a regional supervisor who was very receptive to my feedback and took immediate steps to address my concerns. His professional approach made me feel valued as a customer. Additionally, Kevin, the weekday manager, went out of his way to accommodate my storage needs afterward. My mother recently passed away and had a storage unit at this location. Unfortunately, her rent was not set to autopay, and by the time our family learned of it, the account was past due and the contents were scheduled for auction this morning at 10 a.m.
This could have been a devastating day for our family—if not for the compassion and quick action of the location manager, Chelle. She arranged to meet me at 9:30 a.m., as soon as the office opened, to take my payment and stop the auction—just 15 minutes before it was set to begin.
Chelle immediately set aside everything she was doing to give me a tour of the facility and personally walk me to my mother’s unit. She also understood enough about life, loss, and empathy to stay with me while I opened the door. Seeing my childhood bed and our family’s Christmas ornaments, I was grateful she was there.
Over the years, I’ve used storage units for various reasons, but I never truly appreciated how much storage managers see and the difficult decisions they sometimes face. Chelle is not only a great manager—she is a great human being. She went above and beyond for a Public Storage customer, showing kindness and humanity in a moment when it mattered most.
Thank you, Public Storage, for having someone like Chelle on your team. She turned what could have been one of the worst days of my life into one of heartfelt gratitude and relief.

I absolutely LOVE my unit at Tuxedo Rd, in Hyattsville, MD. I’ve rented there for a little over 24 months and I’ve never experienced any problems. The property is clean and very well kept, the elevators and carts are always accessible and Kevin, the facility manager, is worth triple his weight in platinum. I’ve rented from several well known storage providers however none have been as accommodating and responsive as service provided by Kevin and his staff.

I was given excellent customer service from Aman and Kevin. He was extremely very attentive and catered to all my needs. Out of all the storage services that I received this was the best experience. The rep also informed me of the policy and helped me to understand what I needed to know.

I had to move out of my former storage warehouse where my real estate staging business inventory was kept, but the rent was going up where I could not afford it. At the same time the movers were packing my items and I had to find somewhere close by where I could get too quicker. I stopped in and Kevin the manager was very professional and saw what terrible bind I was in and my stress level was crazy. He asked "when did I need the 2 large units and I said "right now, the guys are packing up my inventory and will be delivering within the hour". Well, he came to my rescue and it was truly a blessing. He immediately clean out my units and it was just a pure blessing to have worked with him and I highly recommend this location.
