WHY CHOOSE

Vehicle & RV Storage

Free Up Your Driveway

Whether you have a weekends-only classic car or a pair of dirt bikes, store your vehicle with us and reclaim your space.

Park Your Vehicle With Us

For vehicle storage, we have a mix of covered and uncovered parking spaces in a fenced lot that you can access anytime during gate hours.

Give It a Home Of Its Own

Our first-floor storage units give your vehicle a separate, enclosed space that shields it from the sun, wind, rain and snow. This is the best choice for long-term vehicle storage.

Take It For a Drive Anytime

There’s no need to wait for an attendant to retrieve your vehicle from a back lot. It stays where you parked it, making it easy to pick up during gate hours.

Storage Options for Every Vehicle Type

Public Storage offers a variety of vehicle storage options so you can find a space that fits your car, motorcycle, RV, trailer, or other wheeled equipment. These solutions range from outdoor parking spaces to covered spots and enclosed, ground-level storage units — giving you flexibility based on how you plan to use the space.

Parking Space Options

Cars & Light Trucks

The street isn't always the best place to store your vehicle, and driveways leave your car exposed to weather and sun damage. If you have a vehicle you won’t be driving for a while, store it in one of our covered spaces or in an enclosed storage unit.

RVs, Campers, and Large Vehicles

For larger vehicles, RVs, motor homes, and trailers, outdoor and covered spots provide ample room and flexibility. Many facilities can accommodate vehicles up to 50 feet long or more, though availability depends on location.

Small Vehicle Storage

Standard cars and SUVs fit comfortably in many vehicle storage options, including 20-foot enclosed units or covered parking spaces. Before reserving, it’s a good idea to measure your vehicle to confirm fit.

Scooter

Work Trucks

If your truck serves as your office, workshop, and livelihood, storing it overnight in a fenced storage area instead of on the street can be a smart choice.

Motorcycles, ATVs, and Specialty Vehicles

Smaller recreational vehicles such as motorcycles, ATVs, or specialty trailers can also be stored in dedicated vehicle storage spaces, including enclosed units where available.

VEHICLE STORAGE TYPES

Outdoor Parking Spaces

Outdoor spaces are ideal for larger vehicles, work trucks, RVs, and trailers that don’t need a full enclosure but still benefit from a dedicated, fenced area. These open-air spots provide easy access and can be a cost-effective solution for seasonal or frequent use.

Covered Parking Spots

Covered vehicle storage spaces feature overhead protection that helps block direct sun exposure and moderate climate effects. This can help reduce wear on vehicle paint and interior materials compared with open-air parking.

Enclosed Vehicle Storage Units

Enclosed storage units are ground-level spaces that function like a garage. These units can shield your vehicle from wind, rain, snow, and direct sunlight, which can be helpful when storing a vehicle for longer periods or preparing for a season of non-use.

Free Up Space at Home

Storing vehicles offsite can help clear space in your driveway or garage, especially if you have multiple vehicles, limited parking, or seasonal equipment like boats or campers that don’t get daily use.

Maintenance Tips Before Storage

Vehicle storage rentals are month-to-month, giving you the flexibility to keep your vehicle for as long or as short a time as you need without long-term commitments.

Seasonal Storage Use

If you have seasonal vehicles like RVs, trailers, or summer-only cars, vehicle storage can provide a dedicated home during the off-season. This can make it easier to manage space year-round.

Tips for long-term vehicle storage

Clean before you store

Sap, salt, and bird droppings can destroy your paint. Wash your car well and apply a fresh coat of wax to protect the finish. Be sure to clean the inside and vacuum up all the crumbs you can. If you don’t remove everything edible, bugs might do it for you.

Disconnect the battery

Disconnecting the battery ensures nothing in the car drains it. If you can, take your battery home and place it on a charger so it’s ready when you need it.

Protect your tires

If it'll be months before your car or RV moves, put it on jack stands to unload the tires. If you don’t, they can develop flat spots that make them unsafe for driving.

RV Owners: Turn off the propane and winterize

Turn off all your stove valves and remove your propane tank from your unit. Be sure to clean and drain your waste tanks too. If it freezes where you live, blow out all your water lines with compressed air and add RV-specific antifreeze to the drains.
