The on site manager was cool and even tried to help me get a job here and other places which he did not have to do
This place is really so awful. We only had our stuff in there for two months and I am so glad it wasn’t any longer. To start, when we moved in, our unit had rodent droppings and a hole in the ceiling (see pictures). There is no attendant at this location, only a kiosk with the option to talk to someone off-site. Also take note that they will issue you a lock at move in for $19.99. You can get this lock on Amazon for $10 and return their lock within 30 days. I did this and returned their lock to their Dropbox on December 10th. Getting my refund was a DISASTER. I had to have made at least 10-12 calls to public storage for this refund and talked to at least six different people. Albert is who I originally talked to and he said that he couldn’t issue the refund online so I would have to go by a location with an attendant to get my refund. He suggested the location off I-10 and Kirkwood. I went by there three times and no one was ever there. Finally I drove by once and Dan was there. He was probably the most helpful person that I interacted with but was still unable to issue the refund. He had no idea what I was talking about and so I called Albert again but Yolanda picked up. She had no idea what I was talking about and said Albert hadn’t made any notes about speaking with me and since it was outside of the 30-day window, she was unable to help. So finally she gave me Andrew’s number. My understanding is that he’s the manager but honestly he was the most unprofessional of everyone I spoke with. I tried calling him and left voicemails at least three separate times. I finally got ahold of him and he said he called me back but I never had a missed call or a voicemail from him. He was pretty rude and unapologetic for the inconvenience of the entire situation. He said he refunded me on 2/4 and I just needed to wait for it to go through my bank. I waited two weeks and the refund never showed so finally I contested the charge with my bank and AT LAST got my $19.99 refund for the lock. It only took two months and 10-12 calls and speaking to six different people and going to various locations. I will never do business with public storage again. The entire thing felt scammy and purposely difficult to keep people from getting their money back.
Unfortunately, this app won't allow me to put negative 10⭐️. This place is HORRIBLE!!! You'll notice rat complaints in bldg 600 from previous reviews. They are NOT lying!! I only had some clothes and Nick nacks in my unit but everything was covered in urine and feces. Not sure if anyone knows but rat pee and droppings are EXTREMELY POISONOUS and i was not touching ANYTHING in that unit since there was nowhere for me to wash my hands or throw everything in the trash. The manager is bulljive. She is refusing to remove the $75 charge for not emptying the unit. This is horrible customer service being that the facility does not provide hygienic means of removal. Y'all crazy as hell if i was supposed to not only touch but put biohazardous materials in my vehicle. I have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in addition to this review because I need that charge REMOVED!! It is horrible customer service for a manager to threaten having charges placed on my credit report when the entire reason it was not touched was due to possible deadly conditions in the unit that I did not cause. I went to the unit in hopes of retrieving my belongings but instead, I have to replace my ENTIRE wardrobe. This entire experience has been TERRIBLE!! Rat piss dripping on the wall but I'm supposed to go in there and take the stuff out!! and y'all Gon try and charge me and threaten my credit! Hell na! Do not go to this location!!
UPDATE** I received a call from corporate about this location and they agreed to remove the $75 charge. I'm still not happy about having to replace my wardrobe but I really appreciate you guys for handling this.
The worst place to rent DO NOT do it. When I made the reservation they offered me a price and when I arrived at the place they changed it almost double and on the 2nd month they raised the rate. And the worst thing is that they changed the key to enter my unit and I have not been able to enter in almost a month the manager is never in the place and you receive terrible help on the phone I am still waiting for them to contact me to deliver my new key

I pay extra to have an inside unit to avoid rats, insects or any animal from going inside by storage. YET there are dead rats and droppings inside the units. Very unsanitary!!
Never any property managers. Nobody answers. I have a unit there and there is rats all kinda rodent feces. I have very expensive things in there and now am forced to move my things out and hope my things still work and are intact. Most of my items are ruined by rodents. There is a huge hole in the roof I've complained about twice. They said they would fix it. No fix yet. I will be taking further action if this proceeds. Maybe this is the only way they will see my message. Lady answered once then hung up on me and never answers. I pay insurance, this needs to be fixed!!!

My rate started out at around $50, but because it’s a month to month lease they kept on raising it little by little. As I’m about to move out my rent is now a whopping $137 (and I’m paying an additional $15 for insurance). I feel forced to move out by how ridiculous they’ve been raising the rent. On the website they are offering $30 for the equivalent size as my space. BUYER BEWARE. Never again Public Storage.
We had a deeply distressing experience at the Public Storage facility located at 11810 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077. We rented two units, and many of our personal belongings were irreparably damaged—some soaked in rodent urine and feces, making them completely unsalvageable.
A fellow renter in building 600 even discovered a live rat inside her unit. Shockingly, staff told her it was the tenant’s responsibility to clean up the biohazard. There are no public restrooms and not a single trash receptacle or dumpster available to tenants, which forced us to personally dispose of contaminated items—adding insult to injury.
This facility presents serious concerns for anyone considering storage here:

🌡️ Climate control systems that are non-functional or poorly maintained in building 500
🔥 Apparent fire code violations that compromise safety
We expected secure, climate-controlled storage. Instead, we encountered hazardous conditions and significant loss. Proceed with caution.

But I could put it one star I would it’s a horrible horrible place to rent a storage when I walked into the 600 buildings where the ones area is, which is so confusing in the first place the actual building smell like dogs there was bullet holes all inside of the walls like the apartments next to it we’re shooting in bully hole. They haven’t got that fixed repaired. Also the door was not repaired. The door was broken.

The overcharging is insufferable here. Expect your rent quickly go up. The rent levels will far exceed any of the nearby storage companies. AVOID!!!!

This company is a bait and switch. A few things to note: 1) Your rent will double very quickly; 2) They nickel and dime you (for example you have to purchase their locks; 3) Customer service is pretty much non existent. There are plenty of better choices out there that aren't brimming with corporate grifters.

They change the our lock without informing us and when I went to ask about it the front desk girl gave me an attitude saying an email was sent out months ago. I did not receive any email. Even though the location is primarily a self-service kiosk, she has really made herself available to help me with the process, when she has been onsite. She is knowledgeable and very personable. I did not feel like a customer, but more like an old friend that Vickie has known forever. Nowadays, it is hard to find people who want to help you, so Vickie renews my hope in mankind.

Today I had the best move in day at public storage. With a big smile, Vicki was able to handle all of my questions. As she walked me to my unit, she gave me advise on where to park my truck and which door to go through. The unit was clean and ready for me.

My storage unit has been broken into not once but TWICE at this facility and my Limited Edition HARLEY DAVIDSON was STOLEN - I've spoken to both the property manager and Kevin Moreau, the district manager and nobody will let me see the security footage or turn it in to the police for the insurance claim. Did I mention nobody contacted me to tell me it was stolen, because the lock was STILL ON THE DOOR. The latch was broken, but my lock was placed back on - I believe this was an inside job, and Public Storage is making it impossible to prove otherwise as they won't give up the security footage. DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY WITH YOUR BELONGINGS!!!!!
