So far the worst experience in my life after cubesmart sold there facility and it became public storage. We went multiple times to the main office no one inside they had tons of ppl. Trying to pay rent because they decided they wanted every unit to pay on the first of the month. They wanted everything upfront. My husband and I were told we had to leave our unit even after we paid 312$ every month after taxes. We paid in the 16th since that was our move in date. They told us because he was active duty military we had to leave our unit get into another one still pay 230$ after we paid 312$ and then still pay 141 that they wanted on the first. Yet we had been paying our rent ahead of time we’re never late on rent. We had to make the heavy departing choice to leave our unit and find a new place as we weren’t about to pay 680$ to them. The worst part is they wanted us to pay and didn’t even have a Conscience when I asked well if we had moved into another unit with the if they would work with us and give us more time to pay the rent because we had just paid 312$ to public storage for our unit “ they told us no” and we lost less then a month of rent and lost days that don’t even add up to a month before they were asking us to leave the unit and still pay upfront a 230$ fee to move into a new unit with them. This has been far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a storage unit if I could rate zero stars for this facility I would.

Price went up from $180 to $230 after only 4 months for my storage.....10 months later..raised it another $50....also raised the price of my car storage....wow.......and then they raised the price again after a total of 1 year and 2 months....$30 more.....let me guess...inflation?......as if your not still making money.............it's pathetic...we work too hard in society to have the "businesses " raise prices for greed.....INFLATION EQUALS CORPORATE GREED....they will literally raise your rent until you can no longer afford to pay.... and then let me guess....you get my stuff at a discount if no one buys the storage unit at an auction? AND NOW....as of 09/21/25.....the price will be raised AGAIN...starting October 1st to $357 PLUS a $7 " convenience fee" to pay online lol. This is pathetic at this point and I will be figuring out a way to get my stuff. This kind of increase should be illegal. UPDATE: as of 12/30/2025, went up to $10 "convenience fee" to make an ONLINE PAYMENT? thats a crypto level transaction fee and its absolutely RIDICULOUS . UPDATE 01/02/2026...After receiving NO information from cubesmart, I started to get emails from "public storage" saying that this 5201 N. Mesa st location, was now with public storage. I of course, thought it could have been a scam so I reached out to cubesmart for them to tell me "sorry for the confusion " 🤣😂. YOU NEVER SAID ANYTHING!!!!Im not sure what public storage has in store for me but hopefully it can not get worse than this 🤣
I have positive reviews of CubeSmart. My only critique is that they should provide discounts for long term renters & not keep raising rents.

Rented at Cubesmart Mesa for business. I have to say the facility is super clean, feels very safe for me as well as my stuff. Not to mention the staff to include Christine is super helpful and really attentive. Best storage in town.
