I’m going out of my way to review this place because I can’t believe how high this place is rated and so many reviews based on customer service. I’ve used this place for the last 4 yrs, at least, and it has just gone downhill. You only talk to customer service maybe once a yr, so that has nothing to do with quality of this place!
CARTS: At the moment ALL 4 carts that are available between 2 buildings are broken pieces of crap!
CONVENIENCE: between 2 buildings there are only FOUR carts! This is bogus! I dread EVERY time I have to go here not knowing if there will be cart wars with the other renters. The place now has to put up signs warning people not to steal carts. They make $10,000’s a month off of gouging people, but don’t think to invest in the 1 of 3 things that people require of multi-floor storage… functioning carts!
PRICING: The price changes every 3-6 months!! I firmly feel like I have warn out my welcome. I started with this place because of price then eventually only bc of convenience. Now I am trying to get out ASAP. The price is fine to start… it’s just a cement slab in a box room, how much could it cost? Once you decide to stay too long they obviously make a point to get out with the prices. It’s the same way at all Cypress’ and “market-value” excuse is a load of crap! Someone is obviously banking! Buy more freakin carts with all that money!!
TEMPERATURE: I don’t recall what the promise is, maybe 74°. I would say the “feels like” temperature is more like 76°. This is more just FYI. It usually feels slightly warmer than I would prefer my stuff to be stored in.
Overall, the cart situation is horrendous and price raises are complete BS. Someone obviously doesn’t care enough. They don’t even have to buy new carts, just change the freaking wheels! Stop raising to bogus prices! My multiple units will be emptied as soon as I can and hope there’s better options than Public Storage in the future.

Elvira and Kailey were super helpful! I recently needed an additional unit to the primary one we have. They made sure I got the best available price and worked hard to ensure I got the exact unit in the location I needed. The website gave me some grief in making my online reservation, and they caught the problem and worked everything out for me. They also noticed an issue on my account for the primary unit we have. I had already tried to resolve this issue a number of times by calling the company call center, and the call center was never able to give me a satisfactory solution. But Elvira, the facility manager, spotted the issue right away and took the issue to the regional manager for us for resolution! They were great!! We have used this place for years now and currently have multiple units. I won’t use any other storage place! Highly recommend!
It seems to me that they are having a hard time keeping this place secure. Joe, I highly recommend you seek a different storage facility to store your things because I have witnessed this location broken into many times.

DON'T TRUST MONTHLY RATE! THEY RAISE IT EVERY OTHER MONTH! I removed all my belongings from this particular Public Storage location because they arbitrarily and randomly increased my monthly rate every couple of months. It seems that there is no logic to the increase. My rate was a hundred dollars more than what I moved in and expected. They claim increases are based on the "market"; however, other Public Storage units within a mile radius do not have increased rates. Will never use this location and I will tell my students not to either.

I was one to give the benefit of the doubt when I found rat droppings outside of my neighboring unit a few months back. The issue was addressed after I found droppings multiple times over the span of a couple of months.
Next issue I had was the “climate” didn’t seem to be controlled. The temperature seemed higher than normal a few weeks ago as I was moving stuff around..again giving benefit of the doubt, that maybe I was just hot from moving furniture around.
Lo and behold, yesterday I came back to grab a few of my wife’s saddles. Again I noticed it seemed hotter than normal. Buuut what I found was disappointing. Mold had grown on the saddles from the less than controlled climate.
Also wanted to address the elevators being out of service yet again. Not that this affected me since my units are on the first floor, but other customers were clearly upset as they had heavy furniture that they were unable to move into a unit.
My experience at this location has been less than ideal. I would recommend using a different location.

I initially gave this company a one star review. I signed up online. I called the store within ten minutes to cancel because I was unsure if I would really need a storage unit. The store said they would refund my money minus the administration fee. I wanted to know why as they did not do the work. Company policy not refundable. As you would imagine, I was not happy. I called corporate as well to be told the same and in a rude way. The same night I received a call from Sheila, the district manager. She wanted to know what had happened. I told her and she was very apologetic. She told me that she would submit to have the fee refunded to me. If it had been the next day it would not be able to be refunded. I understood that, since I would have been holding up the unit they could have rented out. Thank you Sheila for taking the time to personally reach out to me and take care of my issue. Customer service seems to be rare these days. I appreciate that you went above and beyond to make sure to turn my experience into a positive one. When I need a storage unit I will be renting from you.

Went back 05232024 to remove a bed from my storage. I had an issue with removing it and the male front office worker I do believe his name was Cory. Offered assistance he was extremely helpful and helped me in a definite time of need. He kept a smile on his face the entire time of dealing with 3 females.
I just want to say Chris showed great customer service when my husband called to check on our storage right after the tornado. W e own a small but soon to be HUGE business and he was very patient and kind to us. I am an event decorator and everything was just going wrong the day before setup. I have been a customer here since it was built a few years ago. Very clean, bug free, climate controlled spaces. Security is very tight. Your personal code only allows you to enter the security gate, then only your storage building, then your elevator, and then only your floor. You must enter your code when you exit your floor in the elevator and when leaving through the exit gate. I highly recommend this facility if you must store your things.

I'm surprised the overall rating for this location is as high as it is. Our first floor 10x10 unit has gone up over $100 to approximately $237 a month. Yet according to their website, a new customer could pay as little as $84 a month. There is no perks of being a tenured customer. Don't call the office around 4 or so, because when the employees are on break, that is exactly what they are doing, breaking. The doors will be locked and no one will answer the phone. Looking at moving to the storage location across Louetta from this one.
I had storage here for 5 years. The staff was always friendly from day one. Easy access and convenient when I first got my unit. Always felt safe on property when by myself. A special "thank you" to Kelsey for helping me with an unexpected and unpleasant situation. I am very grateful for her kindness and compassion. Thank you Kelsey.
Stuck on the second floor stairwell without assistance from anyone worker, after calling twice. I didn't get the name of the first worker, bit the second was Jes. He seemed to think it was funny that I was stuck and refused to send help. The cost of storage is not worth this experience!

My experience with this storage facility wasn't as good as I expected. One of the two elevators is permanently broken, which makes moving things a real hassle. And when I needed carts to carry my stuff, they were often not easy to find, which added to the difficulty.
What makes things even more frustrating is that there are a lot of moving companies using the working elevator. Sometimes, there are more than two moving companies using it at the same time. This made the elevator busy, slow, and sometimes really crowded. It felt like the moving companies were getting in the way of regular customers like me.
Today took me 2 hours to finish three small trips from my car to my unit and back. Four different companies moving in/out at the same time. This is insane!
Overall, dealing with the broken elevator, the lack of available carts, and the constant presence of moving companies made my experience using this storage place not very enjoyable. I really hope the people in charge can fix these problems so that others don't have the same issues.

I have a few units at the 290 facility. The units are clean and even the bathrooms. The temp is perfect so I bever have to worry about any molding. The staff is very accommodating and very friendly.

I have rented space from this location for over a year. I have not had any problems or concerns. The staff has always been professional and attentive to my needs and questions. Kelsey, specifically made it her business to return my phone calls to help me resolve my questions. I never had to wonder or guess about the procedures at this location. Nice Facility, Great Staff... HOWEVER, the rate is month to month which means they will steadily raise your rate until you hit the point you have to move. I have 3 10x10 units that I have had 2 years. Rate has risen from mid $80's to $140. Each unit has a different price since they were rented a few weeks apart. This is not controlled by the local store, but by the corporate office. I chatted with customer service, and they would not budge when ask to adjust price based on current market conditions.
Update: I was contacted by the district manager. Once I explained the situation, she was able to adjust the rate and get all the set to the same price.
So thrilled to see that Kelsey is still making the Mueschke location as top notch as ever!

NOT SECURE. NOT ALWAYS CLIMATE CONTROLED. Gates and access doors are frequently left open. Can't shut them if you try. Even worse it must have gotten so hot in there this summer I had some old cell phones the batteries almost exploded. Some rubber rug mats were melted to the floor and a sealed can the lid popped off from such a temperature difference. Can't wait to find out what else I have damaged in there.
Access hours are very limited, rates go up sneakily without notification, carts are rarely accessible

Property manager is super sweet and will go searching for a cart for you but the carts have literally disappeared and I don’t think upper management is sending her anything. There were elderly women just sitting downstairs because they had no choice but to try and wait on someone with a cart that was never coming. If you’re gonna get a storage unit here, just know the property manager is amazing but you will be taking multiple trips to your unit.

Been looking for a storage and glad I came in here. They seem to have good security in place, you have to have access codes for entrance. They have dollies to help move items. Kelsey was the lady who help me get set up. She was so polite and knowledgeable.. I was going for a smaller unit but she recommended one that would better suit me. They also seem to keep the facilities clean and the units are climate controlled which is a plus because I'd hate to lifting and sweating in this heat.
We had a great experience today renting storage space at this location with Cherame. She was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this location to family and friends. Thanks again Cherame!

I love the lady in the office. This place is the most secure storage facility I have ever been to. Have to have code to get in gate, door, AND elevator. Tripped me out on the elevator 🤣😂. Thought elevator was the quietest I have ever been on. LMAO , it wasn't moving!!! Then saw the pad and direction. I love the security and gives me peace of mind that the crazy in this world can't break into it. Also, thank you for laughing with us about loosing our keys to our locks and having to get a locksmith😂😂. I am posting pix of how our moving truck company took care of our belongings from Arizona, that left on Dec 4 2021 and just got here. I am posting these everywhere I can. 😡😡😡... LET ME BE VERY CLEAR, THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH PUBLIC STORAGE.
