Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1040 Gladstell St, Conroe, TX

Gale showed me a couple different sizes and was helpful in finding the size I need. Found the storage facility very clean Would recommend this to anyone looking for storage

Excellent service friendly and professional

I rented a storage building and after being late on a payment received a 15 day notice that they would be preparing my belongings to sell if I did not resolve the owed amount within a certain amount of time. I paid the owed amount and went back to my storage. They had cut my own lock and went through my belongings even though I paid within the required amount of time. I notified the person who removed the Public Storage lock that I would be moving out and would not renew for another month. I moved my belongings at the end of the month but was still charged a fee for another month. I reached out to Public Storage customer service the same day they charged me and was advised the amount would be refunded, it never was. I called again and they advised due to when I moved out I would not get the refund that they had said I would. I spoke with three customer service representatives and asked to speak with a manager, each time I was hung up on after repeatedly asking to speak with a manager. Definitely not a good option for storage if you value any type of customer service. We are returning to the previous storage place we used where it’s now cheaper and we can at least be respected as people unlike here.

I had a positive experience when I first used this facility. The staff, particularly the lady at the front, provided excellent assistance to my older brother and me regarding pricing. Update: It has been nearly three years since I last utilized their services for storing my military and personal belongings. I have noticed a significant increase in their prices, making it less favorable for my brothers and me to continue using this facility.

Ms. Rhonda is an absolute gem and was the ONLY employee willing to work with me and help me out on getting the storage unit stuff figured out. She’s sweet, respectful, and knowledgeable. Ms. Rhonda is very quick with her communication as well and I respect that so much after all the problems I’ve had. If you have a loved one that has passed away you will have the option to fill out the paperwork to transfer the unit over to someone else’s name or keep the deceased’s name on the unit. You’ll need to bring the proper estate paperwork in, with ID for verification. If you can’t access the unit due to not having the keys you’ll have to fill out a lock cut application and then it’ll need to be approved as well. With that said, I’ve been speaking to two different employees on this matter and WOW the difference in attitude and communication is astounding. Ms. Rhonda deserves her 5 star review but the other employees I’ve talked to, it really and truly felt like they went out of their way to give me the run around and made things so much harder than necessary. To the point that I would never recommend this company to others ever again until their staff gets re-trained or even new staff hired. It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the bunch as they say. Regardless, I was finally able to get in and clear the unit out and it wouldn’t have been possible without Ms. Rhonda’s help & for that, I will be forever grateful.

The internet advertising I clicked on said "These Unsold Storage Units May Now Be Almost Given Away!" Which brought me to the Grand Central Storage website. Total bait and switch when you get to the pricing. Just pathetic.

Highly recommend. The storage units are well maintained, the premises are kept up nicely, the manager and staff are great.

Had a rental unit here for almost 2 years. The buildings are well maintained and clean. Will definitely use them again when I need extra storage.

I hope Andrea is ok, I have not seen her since she was yelled at by the lady who was in the office. This is a nice clean facility because of Andrea, she is why we send all our friends and family to rent.

Renting a unit was super easy. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable and made renting a unit for our things terrific. We appreciate how easily accessible the location is to our sons house. 24-hour video surveillance and nice and clean! If you have to rent a storage unit, this is the best place around Conroe to do it!
