No stars and stay away from here...they are scammers. My fiance and I have a 10×10 unit that when he got the unit it was under $100 a month and it is now over $200 and was not allowing us to get in the gate on the 2nd and 7th of this month? December 2025? We called them specifically and no return phone call so again we went to the pine knoll drive and again no one is there to help. Why are we shut out of gate one day after the first of the month. Why has our bill doubled in less than 6 months? Why did we not get our free month that was advertised even for a 10×10 unit?
After speaking with the manager I realized it was the 7th & not the 2nd when we came to get the rest of our "stuff." We did not know about the 6th cut off date. I think ya'll might want ro mak we sure the managers are expressing this as no one reads an entire contract. All that being said this was not the managers fault. She is fantastic. It's Public Storage upper level administration making these ridiculous rules and the company itself is robbing us with their rules. Read the contract people it may help you in the future.

Expensive! Geeeezzz! There is NOT any on-site trash for public use. I went to help my friend clear out a storage unit bc the location is increasing the monthly rent. (approx. $200mth. for a 8’ X 10’.) My friend has multiple units at this location & has had the units for multiple years. I’m not an expert but my opinion is that the pricing is outrageous!
There were spiders and bugs everywhere!! You’d think for as much as they charge maybe they’d provide some type of insect control.. smh.
Used this facility from July to august of 2022. Didn’t have an issue always paid by the 5th of each month and never had an issue.. except for the rude staff. I was homeless in a state I didn’t know living in a hotel with my kids and went back to Illinois, had everything moved out that I could. I guess a few items were left behind and they called me today no nice tones over the phone immediately being rude ( I paid for the entire month of November even though I didn’t use it. ) told her I couldn’t do anything about it I don’t know anyone out there to move it out (they’ll end up selling my stuff anyway from the stories I hear, which okay, fair.) instead of having any kind of compassion the manager just said.. “….okay we’ll charge you $250.” I said “I’m 16 hours away I literally can not do anything.” And not an ounce of care from her voice. I understand it’s not her problem but some compassion goes along way man… this may be all over the place but I don’t recommend. To them you’re not people.. thanks public storage :)
This may be unusual as I too am a Property Manager at Public Storage, but I must PUBLICALLY Recognize ANGIE, the PM at Pine Knoll Rd, for not only the GREAT WAY she takes care of her own customers, but how Neverending helpful she is with her teammates! She's been w/PS for over 5 yrs & continues to make herself available when the rest of us have questions re: how to give the best service in situations we haven't dealt w/before. Way to go Angie! YOU are truly an ASSET to both Public Storage AND our our customers!

We were robbed at this facility. First thing out of the attendants mouth was we did not take there insurance. No cameras on rows of storage. Used our on lock . It was jambed open. First time storing...lessen learned cheaper is not better.
Was impressed with the quick response from the regional manager on this issue changed rating from 1:00 to 3:00 because of that. Plus he made a small monetary gesture in good faith.
So now I get a collection agency wanting February rent. After regional manager as a good faith gesture for our break in refunded our last month rent. May be can take care of this

My experience at public storage on pine knoll drive was great! Dena at the front desk was super helpful, friendly, and courteous and also patient. There was a problem with the unit I had originally received through the app, so I wasn't gonna be able to use that one and she helped me find another unit that met the requirements my husband and I needed. It took a little bit longer than expected but neither her nor I seemed to mind due to the fact that she was like I mentioned earlier friendly and patient and fast to get things taken care of. I will definitely be recommending Public Storage to all of my family and friends and I look forward to doing business with her and Public Storage on Pine Knoll Dr for the rest of the time I need my unit.
This place was a great experience. The staff is very friendly.. I accidentally left my lock open one day and and they called me immediately to let me know. I will definitely use this place again.
