I've had a storage unit here for over a year and have had great luck with it. I was looking for a good location that was convenient for me to come in and out as I needed. Their hours are good and convenient access with the mobile app. What sets this place aside from others is actually the staff. I think they're probably the most important part of this location. Lynn and Kim were awesome and convenient in accommodating me when I finally finished with the unit. They work well with others and the front desk is super tidy unlike other places I've used in the past. I would recommend this place for anyone that needs storage for extra items. The whole place is secured, indoors, climate controlled, and easy to navigate. I would totally use them again.

Extremely military friendly! First interactions with this place was as if we’d been customers of this location for years. Lynn was amazing in treating us no different than locals knowing we were out of state moving house items in. She made sure to show us the steps in accessing the unit with ease and made sure we had everything we needed. She offered up things for the local area, even brought the site boss over to greet us and ensure we were taken care of. I can’t comment on the longevity of staying at this place; it’s new to me and first time using it. I know there are comments about that aspect but this introductory experience was extremely through the roof with its customer service especially in these dark times I can’t give it enough praise!

I started renting a unit here in January. This facility is always clean and very accessible! It’s easy to pop in and out of your unit. Even when I was there today, I was greeted by Lynn who was so friendly and personable while hard at work making sure the area was clean and mopped throughly. I have been using this storage place for the last three years straight. I can say my experience only gets better each time I come, I'm also stupidly forgetful and have messed up my auto pay consistently, whenever they had to reach out to me about payment they have been respectful. I have been with Public Storage since 2020. This particular location has served my specific needs well. The location has gone through some positive changes. This is due to Manager Kim. She has taken on the responsibility of changing the culture. Her standards are outstanding. She runs it like a family business. In fact one of them actually works at the location. Kim is so good at running the place, the Regional/District manager has her training other facilities. The climate control has never let me down. Safe, clean & affordability. What more can you ask??!! I would like to give a shout out to Lynn. She is an employee that works at the Cranston facility. Lynn has been fabulous in her custom rapport. She is another go to when help is needed.

This morning, I spoke with Kim a staff person at Public Storage in Cranston, RI, where I rent a storage space. She listened attentively to my questions about certain charges and said she would get back after she spoke with her regional director. And at mid-afternoon she called me back with good news: she got permission to drop certain fees and in addition will not raise my rent for six months starting May 1st. Kim is an asset to her company and I am extremely thankful for her assistance. She is an asset to Public Storage. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs to store any items they may have. I’m a real person, not a bot, not affiliated with Public Storage in any way-- just a longtime customer who’s genuinely grateful for the consistent experience they've provided. My family and I have multiple units with Public Storage and have trusted them for years with our most important belongings. The facility is always clean, climate controlled, and secure, and we've never had to deal with rodent infestations, water damage, or shady activity. The staff is friendly, respectful, and responsive- - not just once, but every single time. That kind of reliability and professionalism goes a long way. I say this with a bit of battle-won perspective, because a while back, I made the mistake of trying out a nearby competitor on Narragansett Avenue in Providence, and frankly, it was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. At the nearby competitor, I dealt with rodent damage, hostile staff, and a management team that seemed more interested in intimidation than customer service. There are even Wall Street Journal articles suggesting that the company is under federal investigation, which honestly wouldn’t surprise me given how they operate. It was a mess, and I regret ever moving my things there. When I did close that unit, only about 10% of my items were in a salvageable condition. Public Storage, on the other hand, has earned my full trust — and this is a genuine review from a real person, not some paid shill or AI-generated nonsense. If you want peace of mind and a facility that actually takes care of your belongings, Public Storage is the one to choose. To put it another way, it is of Prime Importance that you store your important family treasures in a trustworthy facility like Public Storage - no federal investigation, no belligerence, and no rodents here! I stake my reputation on it!

Worst front desk staff, rolling her eyes when I wanted to make a cash payment, it was as though I was such an inconvenience to her because she would have to go to the bank and make a drop, I walked out and will just pay online going forward. I want to have to deal with this office as least as possible.

Do not EVER use this storage facility if you are about your belongings. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Not only do they raise their prices constantly and claim to be "climate control" when really its disgustingly muggy and humid in their facility, but the place is infested with rodents. Apparently this isn't something that concerns the location because they do nothing at all to help customers dealing with these concerns. Almost all of my items were deemed unusable due to the amount of rodent poop in the unit. Rodent poop covered my couch, it was on and around the mattress that was in the unit, and inside of closed boxes. There was very little in the unit that could be salvaged. When I inquired about getting some sort of money back due to the loss of my items I was told there was nothing they could do. They have bait traps all over the facility which tells me that rodents have been a problem for some time, and they simply do not care if all of your items have been ruined. Save yourself money and the trouble of having to throw out all of your items due to contamination and do not rent here.

August 2024 update: •Rent jacked up. •Mice out of control with the place in general. Nothing being done about it. Paying for my own control. •Temp control / air has been broken yet again for the entire summer and everything is getting musty / growing mold AGAIN. Im paying for my own moisture control monthly, which in an open concept storage space is pointless but an attempt. •Have yet to be contacted / compensated in any form about any of the issues being addressed. If I had the option to move storage companies I would in a heartbeat but it’s not an option for myself unfortunately. So Im stuck here paying for temperature controlled storage which I have barely even received. ———— l want to first say. The current staff here has been nothing short of amazing since I started renting here. The manager himself and his employees are all super friendly, down to earth people, very understanding and I have ZERO complaints about them at all. I actually enjoy being a customer here for that very reason. Knowing they are doing anything within their power to take care of the building and keep their customers happy. My issue comes with the building itself and it’s being handled with properly or even at all on a corporate level. When I first moved in, shortly after a pressurized fire sprinkler broke on the third floor flooding everything below it. My unit was directly under it on the first floor. A little alarming to come into and see. Whatever, things happen so I didn’t cause a problem. I dried my stuff off and threw some tarps up just to be sure. This summer is a different story. Is it advertised that this is a climate controlled storage facility, but the humidity levels are very high in the building. It’s been a pretty bad summer so I didn’t even think anything about it, but over the last month I’ve started to notice a very musty smell overtaking the entire building. A few weeks ago I went into my unit and noticed that mold had started to grow on EVERYTHING in my 30’ unit. When I questioned the manager if anyone else had complained about this issue he said that the AC unit has not worked in over a year so there is nothing controlling the humidity levels of the building but corporate has been aware of the situation and working on replacing it eventually. The same exact mold which is consuming my unit is also growing on the entire rest of the first floor of the building leading all the way up to the office itself. It is barely noticeable because the entire building is white, but had the walls been painted black I guarantee all of its tenants would be pretty alarmed. I spoke with a member of corporate on site the other day and supposedly a new unit is in the works for replacement but there is no eta for its replacement. Since then I have seen a handful of tenants pulling their stuff out this week based purely on their stuff growing mold. Not only are the entire buildings paying tenants belongings and themselves being subjected to mold, the employees are working in these conditions day after day with seemingly nothing being done about it. Nothing is being done to bring the moisture / humidity levels down in the building at all and when you contact insurance to file a claim, they offer up to $250 in damages. When you have a 30’ unit filled with antiques which are now covered in mold, that is almost worthless. Offer personal dehumidification solutions for the effected units. Rent industrial dehumidifiers for the building. Do anything to try to control it. No compensation is being offered to long term tenants other than the insurance claim which is honestly just a waste of time. Month after month you are advertising and charging for a service that the building does not even offer its customers currently and im being charged month after month for a service which I have not only not received, the lack of it has damaged my entire units contents. I don’t expect much from a corporate level business, but to not be able to be compensated in some way as a continuously honest and loyal customer is not a good look for the company.

This storage facility is supposed to be temperature controlled but is inadequate. Every visit it smells like mildew and mouse crap. We have asked many times to have them take care of the mice issue but it never went away. Also the 5x5 space that started at less than $70 dollars over 3 years ago was just raised to $176 dollars. Needless to say we chose to move to a much cleaner facility with one that does not smell and much cheaper and larger.

When I moved into my unit in February, I was quoted a rental price of $90 to $100 per month.However, within a month, I was informed that I needed to purchase insurance, bumping my monthly payment up to $130. Now, here’s where the plot thickens. In June, I received notice that my rent would increase from $130 to $172 per month, effective immediately. This means that within just six months of my tenancy, my rent has ballooned significantly. I’ve been a loyal customer who has never missed a payment, but this month, due to an unforeseen financial emergency, I informed the office that I would make my payment on August 14th. Despite this, I’ve been relentlessly hounded with phone calls and emails as if I’ve suddenly mastered the art of evasion. And the grand finale? I went to my storage unit to grab a bag, only to find myself locked out until Wednesday August 14th. ! To add insult to injury, I now have to pay $200 just to regain access to my own belongings. I’m sharing this not just to vent but as a public service announcement. Tell a friend to tell a friend: save your coins and think twice before renting storage space. You might just discover that by the time you’re ready to move out, you’ve spent enough to rent a small apartment! The Cost of Speaking Up I posted this review not even an hour ago, explaining that I would be making my storage payment a little late due to a financial emergency. Originally, I was supposed to pay $200. However, my attempt to save others from the pitfalls of hidden fees has backfired. Now, as a "reward" for my honesty, I’m being asked to pay $375 just to access my unit. So, here’s my advice: Don’t be like me! Save your coins, because the struggle is real, and apparently, so are the penalties for speaking out. Update: After a wonderful chat with the district manager, Anthony, who listened and genuinely cared about my concerns, I’m thrilled to share that my issues with Public Storage have been completely resolved. Anthony’s attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction have inspired me to change my rating to a well-deserved five stars. Thanks, Anthony you’ve earned a spot in my “Customer Service Hall of Fame”!

I will never step a foot in this establishment ever again. We're do I even begin. When I First moved in, next door unit, there was a homeless couple living in there. I was harassed, by them. I asked to be moved to a different unit, and they did accommodate me. They gave me a unit, with no lights working, rent was the same amount, days later, my unit was packed with mouse feces, not to mention I encountered a few mouse crawling through my property. Management never cared about. I asked to be taking care of it, they never handled it. Rent went up $100 + more with a month notice Restrooms were disgusting and filthy, with holes on walls and human feces all over the walls. Loading unloading zone, disgusting with people's trash. Never cleaned. To get a carry out cart, you need to go to office and drop off your driver's license with them. Cause they say people steal them. I moved out to a different company. And they were horrified by it when I told them my situation..avoid this company and this particular location. They won't take care of your belongings. Stay away it's disgusting.

This is the fourth Storage place I've tried during the past four years. The others, locked bathrooms, neglected to fix access doors, seldom had carts available, and had staff that were less than attentive. Public Storage excels in each of these areas, and to boot their prices are generally 30% cheaper. This was a no-brainer. As a bonus, Public Storage has an app for touchless entry, making payments, getting notifications, and many more features.

Can't get in after 9 so if you work doubles don't even bother with this place you will get locked out while moving your stuff, Katie, the customer service rep they give you the number for is one of the most ignorant people I've ever spoken to working in customer service, she will not help you, she will hang up on you. It's a joke. I asked her if I could take a customer service survey at the end of the call (which by the way was the 8th call I made because she kept hanging up on me) she told me that I could take it at the end of the call and then hung up on me again. Was never able to take the survey. She was able to open the gate to let me out but not open the door when half my stuff was inside, I literally would've taken it back out instead of bringing it up but instead, had to leave it and get up at 5am to move it before anyone else got there. Unbelievable.

In general, not an awful experience. Some other people on the floor warned me about mice, so I got the repellant sachets. I only stored for a few months but it seemed to have done the trick if the facility does actually have mice(I think it used to cause when I first moved in the place stank). The only real issue for me was the climate control. I stored some non perishables and cleaning products over the summer; all my coffee clumped together and my detergent turned swamp green. I assume the climate control is not always good...

This is a 1000% must go to place for storage needs! Also the facility is immaculate and even my storage locker was very clean.

BE WARNED !!!! Please please think REALLY hard before renting here or with Public Storage at all. My experience was far from OK. First and foremost was their bait and switch. Within a handful of months they were trying to increase our rent by more than 50% and it didn't stop there. Your only hope of keeping the atrocious rate increases at bay is not to put up with it and to make a stink here and elesewhere on the internet so that they have to become more accountable. Now, happily free from our commitment to them, I forget the specifics but the increases they enforced (or attempted to) were prepostrously large and frequent. In addition, multiple of the staff were rude (some were fine), there were mice, the climate was barely controlled, the bathrooms were frequently locked and the push carts were often not available. NOT even close to good. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I am happy to speak out and hopefully help others to have a better experience elsewhere.

I started renting about two years ago. The price went from $76.00 to $184.00. I've emailed them a few times and no one responds. I called today and told the gentleman there's a brand new place 5 minutes down the street for $108.00 a month for a 10x10. My unit is a 5x10. He said okay, anything else, and that was the end of our conversation. Very disappointing with this facility. I will be moving out.

Initial impression is great. Everyone that help us out; yesterday Vince and Rasheed and Kim today have gone the extra mile for us. I would say I liked the facilities the best and priced better than my recent storage place, that included no security fence on top of the rooms, no lights inside and spiders galore for free. In contrast, Public Storage looks like new, impecable floors, completely light up, security netting on top of unit and docking area big enough for four cars or 3 trucks at a time. Really impressed. Wish I've had found them before.

Pleasantly surprised to learn from Kim that they are running some specials and I was able to save 50% off my first months rental. Booked a 10 x 20 space right away. Met with Kim and another gentleman called Keith both where very pleasant and helped me through the process. Kim directed me to download their app for easy access and walked me through the process. They had a nice surprise for me which was a unit available on the ground floor. The space is clean and i'm sure big enough for my needs. They have an elevator but that was really handy I must say. Anyways 10/10 for a friendly and fast experience. Kudos to the staff and their manager - Anthony who I approached and expressed my thanks for the easy experience and to let him know I would be leaving them a review online and that between him and the team of Kim and Keith where fantastic to work with. Must go pack now..

Worst storage units ever! Place is infested with bugs and rodents and has a weird feces smell. The app is never working and when I try to contact someone for help they are always unavailable. Cost too much to not be given any other services other than the storage unit itself. Will not be using their “services” ever again in the future!

Excellent service

Wish I can give them a minus zero star. These people offer one price on the internet and after couple months the raise it. My rental went from 119 to 172 a month for a 10x10. And not only that, the staff is very rude with the clients, maybe they think they are giving us the space for free. Recommendation: If you can stay away from them, please do so. Not worth the price

Keith was extremely helpful at the Park Ave Cranston RI location. He walked me through every step of the process even downloading the app. His interaction with everyone on the property was kind and genuine.

Overpriced and inconvenient. We accidentally left the door unlocked once and instead of calling and telling us we did they locked our access code and almost closed our account for abandonment. I did not have access to the storage unit, which I used to store work related tools, for several days. We moved out.

Came in today to rent a storage unit from Keith had a great experience will definitely refer this place to everybody I know!!!!!

I have rented at this location more than once, and currently I have been renting for some time. I have always encountered very helpful and courteous staff; especially summer/fall of 2022 from the General Manager and two site staff members Anthony and Kevin. They answered all my questions, even when I asked the same question, walked me thru some help I needed and made sure I was 100% set with my rental, always politely. I also find the ease of loading and unloading thru double doors and wide elevators at this location super easy compared to other storage facilities I have used over the years trying to squeeze thru small doorways and over door jams. I would Highly recommend them to everyone :).

Had great service from the man working today, sorry I'm terrible with names. Would recommend to others. Very convenient and easy access to my storage container.

I came into the Park Ave storage a little more than upset about a rate hike i had obviously missed notification about. Chastity first and foremost allowed me to explain and semi rant about not getting notified. She kindly and politely listened and provided proof of email. Then went out of her way to help me further. Great service from chastity!

This is by far the worse storage I have ever used. They never have the carts outside near the elevator doors. Not sure why they keep 3 carts in the office when we need them by the unloading area. If you come to the storage after the office is closed and there's more people unloading you be lucky if you find a cart available.

I rented a storage unit from here for an a year. I paid all of my monthly storage payments on time. My monthly bill was due on the 1st of each month. I didn't end up needing my storage unit anymore & decided to move all of my belongings out on June 1st since I was paid up until the 1st & my monthly bill was due on the 1st. The manager tried to tell me that I still owed them my monthly bill of $122. The manager also said that I should of moved all my belongings out on May 31st if I didn't want to pay for the month of June. I told them that I was paid up till the 1st. You would think that due to me NEVER ever having any sort of issues & not ever paying my bill late that you would think that they would want to leave me a happy customer in case I ever needed another storage unit in the future. But NO the manager left me being a extremely unhappy customer & I will NEVER go back there again. Who in their right mind would actually pay $122 for the whole month of June when I took all of my belongings out on the 1st of June & especially since I was paid up until June 1st. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND PUBLIC STORAGE ON PARK AVE IN CRANSTON TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A STORAGE UNIT. ALSO THEY HAVE RODENTS CAUSE EVERY TIME I WOULD GO INSIDE MY STORAGE UNIT THERE WAS MICE POOP DROPPINGS INSIDE MY STORAGE UNIT.

Public Storage on 604 Park Ave is awesome. They have personality and common sense. Roy is spectacular. Roy's commitment to a customer's positive experience is phenomenal. Roy's personality is to go above and beyond. Chastity is pleasant as well. They answered all my annoying questions as well. My initial incoming experience was with Megan and Bob, each of which was pleasant, full of personality, positive attitude and friendliness. Their rates are reasonable and the units are great. They are climate controlled which is great for a worry free experience. The gate is automatic with an App on your phone or a code. They have carts for moving items, which you can pick up from the office if the two community carts are in use. Awesome place to rent from. 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 star
