I have been using the storage facility for over a year. I have an inside storage. My stuff is in great condition because the storage facility keeps it at the perfect temperature. The app works every time I want to use it to open the gate and doors. They are very flexible when I need to be a couple of days late on my payment as long as you communicate with them. The employees are always very nice and accommodating

I have been here not even a week my door is broken and don’t stay open and I been working to get all my stuff in here and now they are kicking me out for not keeping my door open I informed the manager about it and he did not care so I just it been letting the door stay shut I don’t see a look

The two stars I'm giving are for the human beings, specifically Kelsey, and for cleanliness and maintenance. Both are excellent, and without them, the rating would be as low as I could make it.
However, the three stars lost are here because my space rent doubled in just 10 months. Quite literally doubled, and in fact would have been a few dollars more than double my initial rate. That's absurd.
So, I moved all of my items into my spare room and closed out my space yesterday. I likely would have maintained the unit for years, because it was so convenient and well maintained. But now, because of the unconscionable rent raise, I am now rearranging all of my personal items to inconveniently smash my items into my residence. Disappointed is a massive understatement.
I worry about the wonderful people employed at this location, because if space rent exceeds what customers can pay, I worry it will drive customers away, thereby impacting their jobs. It's unnecessary and it hurts the community. To Public Storage Corporate, I say, do better.

Kelsey is absolutely wonderful to work with! I have had a covered parking space for several, several years now, and I have.been wanting a second covered parking space at this location. Kelsey contacted me today with the news that there was a covered parking space that just opened up. Kelsey offered to stay past her quitting time of 5p so I could come in and do the paper work for the second space, which is a testament to the excellent customer service Kelsey has always provided to me. They will raise your rent after 3 months and this seems to be for every year you rent. They rent monthly so you are locked in for the month even if you are only there for 2 days. There is no wiggle room with them so if you plan to store for any length of time you will be paying more every year, with an increase of $50+ a year.
There if an option to move to a smaller unit to save in cost but the same thing will happen. They say this it’s to avoid renters from staying too long in one rental. So be ready to move your stuff around every year to abide by their ridiculous rules.
They do have nice indoor temperature control units however the hoops personally are not worth it.
🌟🌟🌟Updated - *Kelsey to the rescue!!!* 🦸🏻♂️Public Storage bought the place I use for storage in California and made a mess of my accounts. Even the Escalations person on the phone said she could not help me. Kelsey went above and beyond, working with my person in CA and management to find a way to fix it!!! I went from feeling helpless facing a giant corporation that seemed not to care about a loyal customer of over 10 years to experiencing the warmth of human compassion and getting the help I needed.

Kelsey was so rude. Their elevator is broken and I have a moving company coming tomorrow to move my stuff. I needed an approximate day on when it will be repaired because if it’s not repaired, then I need to cancel my appointment. At bare minimum, I just needed to know if it will be fixed by tomorrow. I have to have enough time to cancel my appointment with the moving company. Kelsey was very rude and snarky on the phone.

They were good to start with as we needed a unit to rent in a hurry, but they jacked my rate after the first 3 months, with no notice, then just recently increased my rent again $55 to be $299.00 a month for a 10 x 15 ft unit. I decided to complain on a voicemail because you can't speak to a real person unless you go in person. I received an email stating they would "discount" my rent back to $245.00 for 3 months, then then increase would take place again. I decided to go to another storage place and move my things out. I got to my unit and then was a huge dead rat inside my locked unit! I also noticed a bag of rat poison placed inside my unit and it was locked. I did not give permission to them to go in my unit and again, I was not notified of this! It had tore into bags of clothing and pooped all over our things! I grabbed a paper towel and moved the dead rat outside the unit. Not happy at all! I will be moving out as soon as possible! 😝😡😠

Nowhere has the service been better than at the location on Liberty Rd in South Salem. Kelsey was friendly, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. also the place was spotless. Besides the facility just being well maintained, the staff is phenomenal. Not often am I a regular at places on a first name basis but Kelsey made it feel much more personal and pleasant. Most of all, It feels very secure, often times going months between checks to make sure nothing shifted or fell inside the unit, but feeling comfortable knowing that the facility is secure enough that I never had to worry about anything. Would highly recommend this storage facility for any length of time.

Climate-controlled (air conditioned) spaces are available, or if you don't care about the temperature during Salem summers, they have non-a/c spaces as well. Easy procedure to rent...be sure to check their online specials to snag discounts.
came in today and Kelsey was the one to help me today and she was super nice and helpful and made me feel welcomed like a friend. made it clear it wasn’t just transnational cuz she was definitely a pal and a half

Correction… was… Super awesome! I rented a unit online a few days in advance. Once I arrived I immediately realized I needed a bigger unit. I walked up front and with no issues at all I was moved to a bigger unit. They even walked me to the units before hand so I could see how big of a unit I needed. Couldn’t have been easier and more pleasant experience! Lowered my writing as they raised my rent after being there only four months… a lot!! I had a word with them and they lowered the amount they raised the rent but still feels like the amount they are asking is way to much! The initial increase was beyond belief! I will be keeping my unit despite the increase because they actually made an effort in customer service (which is not common these days) and the place is well ran.

Kelsey is incredible. She helped us back in our RV when I had no gas left. She is phenomenal and I would highly recommend this location off Liberty. So many good things to say about her. Happy people we are!!
From the beginning of the process and all throughout I was assisted above and beyond by Kelsey. She walked me through the reservation process and made sure I fully understood what I needed to do. And when I forgot and missed a unit she would find me another and call me. Can't say enough positive things regarding her performance as a public storage manager.

Kelsey at Public Storage on liberty Rd in Salem Oregon is amazing. I needed to rent a unit quickly and she was able to help me out. She was very patient and very informative. I then had to turn around and cancel the unit and she again was very professional and kind helping me.
