Reviews
I did the self check in and it was easy and problem free. Space was clean. Facility was clean. Opening the gate through the app was easy. The only issue I would have is being informed if the storage was on a hill. Difficult to load and unload boxes and items.
Didn’t need it after all and they refused a refund
Nay is the property manager, my experience with her has been nothing but outstanding. She was prompt to take care of me and my situation finding a good size for our belongings! Living in these times right now is tough, she made it easier for me and I truly needed her professional support behind it. She is rated 5 stars for us!
I was asked if there was anything that they could do to make my move in better I said you have done more than I could ever imagine thank you.
The rental agent was very helpful and courteous.
I've reached out to Public Storage multiple times regarding people living out of their units. I left a message via phone and finally spoke to somebody after almost a month. Customer service is something they don't excel in. They told me the issue had been resolved and also mentioned that if I see the people there again, ask them to leave. Maybe hire security? After thinking the issue was resolved, I went to my unit the same day to check on my belongings and one of the "residents" was looking into my unit while it was open. I left, came back 2 hours later, and he was still there. I'm thankful that I have insurance on my unit. Fix this. This is unacceptable.
*Photos attached are from both times I went to the location*
I have had the best experience with Kristyn the manager at Public Storage!! She helped me navigate through going through a transition of banks that left my autopay in shambles! Great customer service and personality!!
Public storage raises rent after move-in to above market price. I paid $215/month for 10x10 (NO climate control). There was so much dust and dirt in unit from outside. It was impossible to keep clean. It will destroy your furniture. I moved to brand new 10x10 with climate control for $149/month. Also, there is no manager and no open bathroom on site. Customer Service never responded to my concerns about outrageous rent increases. Avoid this company. Also, the unit was filthy when I rented it. It took me an hour to clean it before I could move in. The walls and floor were covered in dust and dirt.
Over the last 1 1/2 years our storage unit has gone up in price ever quarter. the original price was $225 a month. Our rent was raised incrementally to $380month. I thought maybe this was inflation but you can top and rent the same unit today for $225 today if you are new customer. Probably with a move in discount as well. Of course when you call you only get call centers that dont even seem to be part of this company.
When I complained to the call center they said they would submit the request to the company and PS would get back to me. They never called or emailed me with the change in pricing. I just noticed my next bill went to $340. To be clear that is still $120 over the current advertised price.
It's an interesting policy to charge your long time customers more than new. Whatever there are cheaper and bigger units available all around Reno. Avoid this company at all costs.
I've rented many storage units in different states from public storage over the years. The changes to not having people at the properties and not being able to contact someone directly have gone too extreme. Zero customer service. Even the old office says "Talk to a person inside" and you go in and its a giant iPad like kiosk.
On a side not the units are incredibly dirty due to the way the roof is open 1/3 from the back for ventilation. so much dirt inside. And the whole things on a slope that makes it hard to park and load and unload trailers.
Avoid at all costs!
I had 2 storage units there for over 2 years. When I started to go thru the boxes because I didn't remember what was where They told me I was spending to much time on the property if I wanted to go thru the boxes to take them off property and bring them back when I was done So I took them off property and got a place 125/mth cheaper
and bring them back when I was do and brin
Decent enough place. The road is very off center though. Almost tipped a truck.
So easy to use through the app, I love that I can control access from my phone. I also appreciate how diligent the managers are here, and that they're accessable if I have problems with anything. I give them 5 stars!!!
I recently had the misfortune of interacting with Adriana, the property manager. I must say, it was one of the worst experiences I have had with customer service. Adriana was incredibly rude and unprofessional in her demeanor and her actions. Her lack of empathy and concern for the customer's needs was astonishing.
Throughout my interaction with Adriana, she was not at all helpful and seemed more interested in being dismissive and cutting the conversation short. She showed no effort to resolve the issue or provide any sort of assistance. Her attitude was condescending and made me feel like she was doing me a favor by simply speaking to me.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Adriana as a property manager to anyone. Her behavior is unacceptable and her lack of professionalism is a disservice to Public Storage. I hope that the company takes necessary action to ensure that their customers are not subjected to similar experiences in the future.
Paid for storage and it took 2 days to get ahold of anyone
