Great help
I have 2 units at this location both units I recently found out has mice and as I was sorting through things several jumped out at me. My items are now smelly and ruined. Beware of this if you rent space here. Also they keep upping the rent so its becoming very expensive to keep things here. If I was able to move my things into a different company I would. I can never reach anyone working there as theres never anyone working in front. Its frustrating when I need to speak to someone and cant find them around.
Tom and kannada was wonderful from the beginning to the end of the process

Seems like a nice place but no one was in the office when I went. Found out the workers aren't in the office everyday from someone that was walking by the office.
Ralph at Public storage in Waltham went above required to contact me, set up my account . He careful explained all the options. He helps me load the first set of boxes and made sure I could access the unit

Update: Rent has increased for a second time in 9 months (a 65% total increase). Moving to another facility in town.
Mice seen multiple times in storage unit and in hallway. I have only seen the office open one time during normal hours - all interaction has been with their regional customer service line. Unexpected 35% increase in rent 2 months after moving in (was not advertised as a promo rate).
App has frequent connectivity issues. Gate frequently seen left open/unsecure. Very limited space beyond the gate for vehicles. $60/month extra charge to come after 9pm when you have a more realistic chance to park beyond the gate.
Cannot wait to move out ASAP.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this storage company.
When I rented my storage unit, I was clearly told that the price would be $17 and would stay $17. This was one of the main reasons I decided to rent from them and stay with the company.
Now, without any warning or notification, I suddenly started being charged $27 instead of $17. When I contacted customer service to ask what happened, the experience was even worse. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the representative yelled at me and told me that nobody could have promised me a fixed price and that the company can change the price whenever they want.
Excuse me, but how is that acceptable? If I was told the price would be $17, I expect to be informed before being charged an additional $10. The fact that they can apparently increase the price at any time without warning is extremely concerning.
On top of that, being yelled at by customer service when I was simply asking for an explanation was completely unprofessional.
I would not recommend this company. Make sure you carefully document the price you are quoted, because apparently it can change at any moment without any notice.
the worst customer experience I've ever had. the staff were rude, when I called to ask them about why I was getting charged despite not even having my stuff at the facility anymore, I kept getting interrupted and the staff were rude saying that it was my problem and there was nothing on their end they could fix. ended up resolving the problem after several phone calls and talking to the manager, but the staff were all very rude and did not know what they are talking about. the only star I gave was for the physical facility.

One of many storage facilities in the greater Boston area that are so necessary for those of us who live in small apartments. I chose this facility, Moody Street in Waltham, because of its location, but was very pleasantly surprised by the staff. And when I say staff, I mean pretty much one guy, Ralph, who really went out of his way to help me out on the telephone and in person. The facility is clean, and it feels safe.
UPDATE: The “owner” took 2 minutes to respond to this review (as you can see below), but has done nothing at all to address the problem. It’s been almost 2 months now.
For the amount of money I pay per month, this is unacceptable. Water damage—mold and collapsed boxes—due to leaks from A/C system. Giving one star until they do something about this.
We used Public Storage for the first time this week and we were so happy to work with Tom at Moody St, in Waltham. When I say he went above and beyond to help us that is an under statement! He was extremely understanding and compassionate when we ran into a snag with our move in. Public Storage is lucky to have him on their team!!

Susan was extremely helpful and was great assisting me with my move out. She does everything by herself. She deserves 5 stars. Im leaving 1 star because I am very unsatisfied with the company. The rent increased often making it extremely unaffordable forcing me to move out. Not the amount written in my contract! On their website, if I were a new customer I could have rented my EXACT size unit on the SAME floor for $86/ month. But because I was existing with the increases I was paying $400/m and on the day I moved out the rent went up again to $658. They don't treat existing customers right. They scam you with their "new customer rate" and then increase the rent and expect you to pay it. They have no disposals you cant throw anything out, there were never any moving carts when I was there. For the prices they charge they should be much more accommodating to their customers. Will not recommend or be back.

Absolutely unacceptable. I am currently in the middle of moving out, and both elevators are out of order. What is the point of having two elevators if neither is maintained? Carrying furniture and heavy boxes up to the 4th floor via the stairs is a nightmare. This shows a complete lack of respect for tenants and zero maintenance oversight. Highly disappointed.
Went to Publix Atorage to inquire about storage. Was greeted by Susan who was very knowledgeable about my needs. Took me to see several units so I can decide. She is very funny also. I'll definitely store my things at this location.
Susan was the absolute bomb, I was having trouble figuring out the unit size and how to use the facilities and she was incredibly patient and helpful.
I went into
Public Storage on both Lexington St and Moody St in Waltham. My advice is to stay away from the Lexington St store. Poor customer service, angry man behind counter heard him on the phone yelling at someone. I was horrified. Went up to Moody St was greeted by a very nice woman Susan. She was very informative and we were able to carry on a conversation without any aggression.

Their customer service is abysmal. The snow wasn’t plowed, my car got stuck, only because of the kindness of a stranger was I able to get out of there, couldn’t even move out that day because I was simply too focused on hopefully getting home. Will have to pay for a rental car twice. Tried calling this location to confirm that the snow has been plowed, another automated message labyrinth along with just leaving a voice message. Called their customer service line, told that they confirmed with the property manager that the snow has been plowed. Asked for it in writing, said they couldn’t but they will transfer me over. Transferred me to a different location entirely. Can’t reach anyone, can’t confirm if I can get my stuff safely there or not. Jesus.
I phoned, talked to Susan, who helped me move my storage to a smaller unit in the building and even made sure she was at the building at the day and hour i scheduled to do the work, she came to help me arrange the admin about the move to make sure it was a smooth process.

First let me start by saying, Susan in customer service is great! She has always been extremely helpful! And, I have been a customer since 2014! However, I recently moved out because it was getting increasingly impossible to access my unit when needed. In fact, 5 out the last 6 times I visited, I had to park outside the gate and lug everything outside of the fence because numerous large trucks were always occupying the loading area which is extremely small compared to other locations!!! In addition, there were NEVER any carts available to use. But, the final straw was I just got tired of always paying nearly 30% higher rent than the advertised rent! Public Storage’s business plan of fleecing their dedicated long term customers will eventually come back on them! Too bad they are more concerned with getting short term renters rather than decade old customers. Never again!

I have been looking for a storage facility for my prized possessions, I have viewed many companies which did not meet my expectations. I had the pleasure of meeting Susan at Public Storage on Moody St in Waltham. This facility is the cleanest building I have seen by far and the customer service I received from Susan was extraordinary, pleasant, professional and was able to guide me in deciding what space size space I need. She even told me to measure my possessions twice so I don’t undersize or oversize. I am extremely grateful for the tip and will be back to rent a unit shortly. Would like to mention also and most importantly the facility is extremely clean. I can feel safe about storing my items there. Thank you Susan

One of the elevators are broken for a while now and they don’t fix it. Trash area is so messy. Inside of the storage is very neat and clean. Bathrooms are locked. You will have to have an employee to get in which is not in their office most of the time.

This storage facility is filthy with mice running around everywhere. Their two restrooms are locked all the time because they don't want their customers to use their restrooms. Their management increases the rent every 4 months. It is terrible and very deceptive! They use the low first month to lure you in and then increase the rent shortly without any extra service. They are high-profit driven regardless of whether there is any value and service to the customers.

The WORST customer service I have ever encountered. The lady working there hung up the phone because I asked for help. I am currently being charged for renting a space even after being moved out. Moving out is an absolute challenge and they charge you so many extra fees. I would definitely not recommend. Terribly treated and impossible to contact.
For the price, this storage facility is quite average. I have only had one other storage unit, so i only have one other point of reference for the review. This is definitely a step down in quality and cleanliness from the storage facility around the corner. They only have 4 carts for transporting your items, where there were 9 carts at my other storage location for a similar size facility. The parking area is very crowded and half of it is not paved. There is a large lip on the concrete slab leading into the building which makes it difficult to wheel the carts in and out. The key pad to get in is at a bad location where you have to get out of your car to enter your code. Just a lot of small things that could make the experience a lot better.
The initial price of the unit was the reason for moving here which was $35/month to start. After a couple months, the rate increased to $106....almost tripling the cost. When I called, the first person I spoke to said they never heard of such a large increase, so he would have the manager call me back. I did not receive a call back. When I called them back, they said there is nothing they can do about it. I understand storage facilities raise rates over time, and that's part of the gig. But tripling the cost after only a few months is excessive and immoral.
I'm still giving it 3 stars since they are priced slightly less than the other unit, so I shouldn't expect quite the same quality.
Tom offered great service. They were easy to work with and it was a great price for a summer rental for my college student's dorm room stuff as we live out of town.

Had some weird issue with my first payment but luckily Susan was a very personable and a fantastic help. Along with her explaination she also put in a request for a refund for a "bad check" error and made sure my unit was still accessible. Only reason it isn't 5 stars is due to this strange, frivolous and time taking issue.

The people who work there are great. However, every three months my rent goes up $50. And nothing changes! It’s still the same space, same dirt, same animal feces in the hallway. What are you giving or offering for rental increases so frequently?!!? It’s insane and greedy.

I already left a review but for some reason it didn't go through. I just wanted to say that the employees who work here are absolutely amazing. Juan helped me and he let me come in and check out the space before I committed to anything, but he also let me reserve it so nobody else could purchase the unit from underneath me. I was late for my appointment because I went to the one on Lexington St instead of Moody St and I was still able to go down to the location later so they were very flexible with scheduling and helping me.

Juan, the site Manager was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. There was a technical problem with my reservation. Customer service at the 800 number could not fix the problem. I called Juan and he was able to solve the issue on his end. He walked me through completing the reservation until he knew it showed up properly in the system. I have rented a space from Public storage at 945 Moody street, Waltham, MA for some time and recently received excellent service from Juan. He answered all of my questions and was very courteous and professional.

As for the facilities, the place is very clean, organized, and accessible. It’s also temperature controlled, in case it matters to your stored items.

The facility seems clean and secure but on move-in day the BOTH freight elevators were broken. One was completely off-line; the other had a broken inside panel (you could get in the elevator but could go anywhere unless someone called the elevator from another floor). As other customers were moving in/out during the same time, this made the move-in process twice as long as it needed to be. And when you are paying movers by the hours, the extra time, cost me hundreds of dollars more!!!
Even though the office hours indicated the office should be open, no one in the office and no one answering the phone.
Bill was very kind, helped me with my needs immediately. He is very approachable.

Reserved a space but didn’t pay. By the time we tried to pay for the unit, all units of that size had been taken—fine. We called the office and got stuck on a frustrating call with the employee—we kept being told various and conflicting things, but were finally told we could get a larger unit at the same price if we came in person ASAP. Made an appointment for 9:30am the next morning. Came at 9:30am the next morning, only to be kept waiting outside for 40 minutes before the employee finally showed up (same one who had answered the phone yesterday). We go in, only to be told that we can’t get a larger unit for the same price and would have to pay extra, which directly contradicts what the same employee told us the day before. Are redirected to another facility 10 minutes away and are assured that someone will be at the front desk. We get there and the same situation—nobody at the front desk (it’s 10:30 by this point). We call the original facility and the same employee picks up. We ask her to contact the employee at this facility and get them to come to the front desk (as she mentioned she had his number). She sticks us on hold. Whole thing was incredibly frustrating
Best, well managed, clean, and convenient storage unit in the area. I’ve used three or four different storage facilities over the last 10+ years, and this location has been the best. Management is friendly, polite, and very customer service oriented. Highly recommend!

I've come to pay my bill several times at this location and nobody is ever here when you go to pay online they say it's a free to pay it but it's a $10 fee extra. Sounds like they're gouging people taking advantage totally unprofessional and disgraceful.

I stored here for two years during the pandemic, and would 10/10 recommend. very helpful staff, they kindly helped me figure out storage payments while I've been abroad (card expired, billing address changed, etc). last year I changed units within the same building and the process was quick and easy, and when I moved my things out last week I was able to complete the check-out process over the phone (since I moved out outside of business hours)

We were deeply disappointed. After my daughter’s mother died they made it almost impossible to retrieve items my daughter wanted from the space her mother had rented. I don’t need up paying months of rent and meeting road block after road block to accessing and then ending our rental. The staff person we dealt with tried to intercede with her supervisor on our behalf, but was told she was not to do anything to help us.
