Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 501 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Wilmington, CA

I just started renting yesterday. Even tho the units don’t exactly measure what they advertise on the website, I still give Janine a 5 star because her customer service was very good. Because the the size of the unit was an issue for me, Janine took the time to help me resolve it by finding a different size for a reasonable price, all while helping two other people. No one does that now a days not even for the simplest things. Her multitasking is 100. You can tell who’s dedicated to their job and helping people, she is one of them. Thank you very much Janine. I've been a customer at this location for over 35 years. I've seen managers come and go. Over the years there has been some very good ones ( Rosa) for example, but Manager Janine is the BEST! Janine customer service is impeccable. She addresses you by your name. She has the most incredible personality. No matter what time of the day you see, or how busy it is she always has a smile on her face which follows with how are you doing and how can I help you. The grounds are in pristine condition. She takes pride in her work and it shows. Public Storage is very Blessed to have her. Good employees are hard to come by these days.

Using Public Storage has not been my most financially rewarding experience. But knowing the professionalism, empathy & honor of Janine, (Mngr) has been beyond amazing. In addition to being efficient & knowledgeable, she is always pleasant & kind. She has personally helped me reload belongings when caught in a torrential storm & she’s helped navigate movers after my Husband’s death, when I couldn’t be there. And she’s negotiated with the PS Corp Office in attempts to lower my rates because as a 20 year tennant of Public Storage, it has been intense! Of course, my advice is to do the math & ask yourself if the storage investment is truly worthy of what’s being stored. But if you have to, then this location, with Janine in charge, is a wise choice.

I just rented my first storage unit here & had a wonderful, easy experience! I was assisted by Merced who was professional, kind & knowledgeable. The storage facility also offers very reasonable prices compared to others in the area, i would recommend to anyone!

HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE! They rented me a unit that had bugs, holes in walls from rats and mold! You could see the 2 foot water line. They tried to say it was oil I was seeing cuz it's built on top of an old oil field so apparently oil seeps into the unit! Excuse me but I'm pretty sure breathing in oil can possibly cause cancer plus other issues! I told them it definitely has mold too, you can clearly see it! WOW what a great combination! Definitely don't won't that unit. However, I couldn't be transferred to another unit unless I paid an extra $70 for the same exact size! If I wanted to cancel the unit they said I could NOT get back the $29 admin fee either and a check will be mailed for my refund! OMG SERIOUSLY!!! IM SITTING HERE AT THE LOCATION WITH MY STUFF AND NOW HAVE NO UNIT AND THEY HAVE MY MONEY!!! So then I was told to call corporate office. The corporate rep said they'll file a report to fix unit but it takes 72 hours for report to go through! I said I'm at the location and can't wait for them to fix it! What the hell! I asked to speak to a supervisor and now have been on hold for an hour and 50 minutes and now the place is closed!!!! The person in the office also gave me the District Manager phone number to call but said he won't answer and leave a message but he won't get my message until next week!!! WHAT!!! HOW IS THAT SUPPOSE TO HELP THIS IMMEDIATE ISSUE! IF ANY FROM PUBLIC STORAGE ACTUALLY READS THIS, I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK IMMEDIATELY PLUS BE COMPENSATED FOR THE TIME AND IMMENSE TROUBLE YOU HAVE CAUSED ME! I have been renting with Public Storage throughout 30 years and have never had a problem! You DEFINITELY LOST MY BUSINESS! THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

This is a good place to storage your things, (stuff), place located in pch ave in Wilmington city....you can get a discount online when you set up your account (it's still available).. also you can manage all this using the storage app, very convenient and easy 😀...I took a good deal yeah! 👍 👌

Needed to rent a storage unit for work and this location was the closest for our job needs. They also had the most competitive prices for unit we needed. The facility is very good, but what makes this location 5-star is their staff. Janine is absolutely fantastic!!! She is professional, knowledgeable, and patient while answering a multitude of questions. She goes above and beyond to help her customers. I needed to handle the verification process at a location that was closer to me. The person on staff at this other location was new and did not know how to handle the process. I called Janine and she walked him through the process explaining what he needed to do. Not only did she help me, but she helped out her co-worker at another location. Truly awesome!

Great customer service from Janine this morning

DO NOT book a rental with this company. They are theives! I booked a rental move in with them and cancelled it without ever moving in, and they refused to refund my money that I paid for the rent. They kept giving me the runaround, saying that it takes x amount of days for a refund. It’s been two weeks and still no refund. I filed a chargeback with my bank. I will never book a rental with this scam company, that’s for sure.

The customer service that Jamine and Jeanine provide is impeccable, the grounds are prestine AND even the people in neighboring units are kind 👌🏾

On Mon 6/5/23, I received a cheerful welcome and introduction, Very good customer service by Mgr Janine, Understood my concerns and started the results process for me with care, concern, and understanding.

We have been storing our offices here since the pandemic started in March of 2020. Everything was as on par with every other public storage facility we have used. The person who made this facility stand out was Janine, the manager of the facility. She assisted us as we worked to clean out the unit and made an unusually stressful situation much easier. Janine, thank you again for all your help.
