Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 13808 Imperial Hwy, Santa Fe Springs, CA

Highly disappointed with this facility. I signed a contract for 24/7 access to my unit only for it to be removed without proper notice and I had to find out the hard way. I got my unit in October with no issues other than the minor inconvenience when the app wouldn’t work to open gates/door. Tonight I get to my unit without issue and loaded some items in my car assuming I can go back and forth as I have done in the past with the 24 hour access I originally signed up for. I was dumbfounded when I was unable to get back to my storage unit because I was locked out. I thought it was a mistake and after multiple attempts called the number on the box for assistance. I was in complete shock when the representative over the phone told me that this location no longer offers 24 hour access. I let him know that my unit was unlocked and asked why was I not notified by mail, text, email or phone call about this change. The rep over the phone verbally confirmed that the change was automatic and it is the responsibility of the property manager to reach out but he can see on his end that no attempt was made…. I emphasized multiple times that my unit was unlocked and I desperately needed access to at least run in and secure my unit. The rep ‘attempted’ to give me a temporary code to get access to the building so I could lock my unit. The code did not work… I asked to speak with a supervisor but was told that the escalation team was closed for the day and was told to just come back at 6am to lock it. It’s extremely frustrating and unprofessional that I signed a Contract for 24 hour access to my unit and not be properly notified that the service I specifically signed up for is no longer offered at this location. It is not fair that I have to stress all night that my unit is unlocked due to this situation and have to stress about getting there at 6am. Extremely disappointed with this location.

Unreliable. The gates and doors are always getting stuck. I already spoke to the property manager and she just tells me she will look into it but nothing gets done. If you're thinking of getting a unit here, just keep in mind that you're not going to have access to your things on the posted schedule. It's only at the schedule they want. I'll try to post video of the door problem the next time I go

There shouldn’t be anyone bashing this place. This is, by far, the cleanest location I’ve ever seen. Sarahi keeps it very clean and she still takes the time answer my questions. Very great 5-star customer service. 5 Stars all around.

Pretty sure some people either try to live here or come to get high or whatever. Had an uncomfortable encounter with a dude this evening who comes to the units on his bicycle - I went to wash my hands in the restroom and the door was not locked, but after pushing the door it knocked over the bicycle that was inside the restroom. I apologized and walked outside to my car, and the man got halfway out of the bathroom door, yelled at me, and kept staring me down as i was getting in my car and driving away. Will have to definitely carry some pepper spray on me as i go to the storage, especially after office hours.

David provided great customer service. The faculties are amazing. The process to view and rent was so much more easier than I thought. Would recommend for any moving needs

I cannot say enough good things about Sarahi at Public Storage. She went above and beyond for me — literally waited after closing hours to make sure I could access my storage unit as a new customer. Not only did she stay late, but she also gave me a full tour and walked me through everything with so much care and patience. She was the absolute sweetest — warm, welcoming, and made what could’ve been a stressful situation feel totally easy and seamless. You can tell she genuinely cares about people, and that kind of customer service is rare these days. Hands down the BEST experience I’ve ever had at a storage facility. Promote her. Give her a raise. Do what you need to do to keep Sarahi on your team — she’s a star.

Needed a storage as I’m moving out. Got the 5x10 space Super clean and brand new. Staff was super friendly and made my reservation check in easy and fast. Didn’t have to pay much today, just some starting up fee and a dollar for first month and a lock.
