Do not rent space here. They don't have cameras in the hallways, they don't have any security and this place is broken into at least once a week per Santa Ana Police dept. The police department has advised them to hire a security guard due to the weekly thefts but they refused to. In their own words, that is why they have insurance. There's plenty other public storage locations with security and cameras in the hallways.

I've been here for 2 years and the peopel at the office have been either racist or rude. They went through our things and locking it up with out us knowing. When we payed the next day our unit door was locked.
I rented my unit today and Jason and Veronica were very helpful, kind and really friendly. It made my rental really easy. I enjoyed their helpful time.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Our unit door has been damaged for over a month, and they have not fixed it; so we cannot access our belongings. We call and call and call and leave messages for the property manager and we don't receive a call back. They only take your money and don't care about anything else. Don't store here, go somewhere else.

Very bad customer service, always taking their time very slow and came for the second time and there was no one in charge only a trainee that said there was no one to help and he couldnt help because he was training. Waited for someone 20+ minutes and not even a sorry . What a bad service!!
I originally rented a medium size storage locker online, but when I went to look at it, I realized I would need a larger space. Raymond was more than helpful, and was able to switch me to a larger size that day. We walked over to the space to make sure it'd be large enough for my needs, and he gave me a tour of the facilities. Raymond was professional and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I would recommend this facility to others, simply for how great of a customer service experience I had.

The storage facility is huge, a lil bit confusing to navigate, and not walking friendly if you're changing storage you need a car if your trying access the bigger storage rooms. They have a security robot that roams around. I like that they have a restroom by the office.

Updating my 4 ⭐️ to 5 🌟 got a call from Veronica and she clarified everything now I have an understanding how the payment worked. Thanks for the help Veronica! I'm about a month or two late in making this review but I have some down time. The only reason for the 4 star and not 5 is because I wasn't told that my storage unit was only a one time deal because when I signed up it said something else monthly. I went in to clarify I guess but I'm not happy about it. Katelyn helped me get my storage together. She was super nice! I should of asked more questions, but I was pretty sure I asked if the online price is monthly and not a one time deal 🤷🏽♀️ but anyways I like that there was a drive thru option and it's all at the bottom!

Have had 3 break-ins in the past 5 months (in 2 different units I’ve rented and twice this week). Police and staff let us know that it happens all the time here. Every time our unit has been broken into, we see that many other units were hit as well. Incredibly, most of their units are NOT monitored via camera and the ones that are, the picture quality seems so bad that they aren’t much use. I would strongly caution you - DO NOT RENT from this facility. They have ZERO control and break-ins are just considered part of doing business there. They seem friendly, but just not acceptable how it’s run and secured. Moving out ASAP!

No lighting in units and pain to navigate through this maze. Other than that our stuff seams secure and the monthly rent is not horrible. Edit: its not a maze, I was just shown how to get to my unit the hard way. Now that I go my own way its really easy.

Started ok , then they turned off the lights and refused to turn them back on. Not only were they rude but the current manager used prophanities at me and my help. I would avoid renting here at all costs. The current manager also has "invite only" auctions to her choice of people. Very scandalous operation she's running. Stay away its horrible there !

I love how Veronica and Xavier treated me. They have excellent customer service. 👍 They are very friendly. *Five days ago I had an excellent service. I don't have nothing against Veronica she gives good customer service. The last time I spoke to Veronica she told me that I can move my things and that on the storage there was going to be a blue tag on it so I could just cut it and my lock was going to be inside. 😡 I get to the storage at 11:00 A.M. when I put in my code it said that my code was inactive. We ask another person if we can go in with their code so we went in I get to the storage and instead of a blue tag it had a blue lock 🔐 I was so mad cause I couldn't do anything cause the office opens at 12:30. So I felt that was a waste of my time and money at the same time cause since I got surgery on my leg I can't do much so I paid two guys to help me with their truck and service to move my things. Honestly I was really mad.
Although I just rented my space a few days ago, the process was easy. The property manager Veronica was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable, I like that they walk the property to make sure everything is safe and that someone is always on site to ensure security. Location is good and I love the drive up access, makes the move much easier. I am happy with my decision to use this location.
Customer care is #1 with Mgr. Veronica and office and grounds associate Joanna. I see them both always doing something to improve the quality of the surroundings there and with the new hours have really improved the property's feel. Restrooms back open is a plus as well. Keep up the good work ladies, thanks for all your hard work!!!

I just moved from New York to Santa Ana, CA. Signed up for a storage space with Public Storage. Johanna and Veronica made sure I knew everything and even checked to make sure my unit was locked properly. One night I didn’t place my lock properly and they immediately emailed me to let me know. In fact, they placed a lock on my unit until I arrived. Not only are your belongings safe at this gate secured property (each customer has a unique gate access code), but the employees go the extra mile to make sure of it. Facilities are cleaned regularly, well lit, and the prices are the lowest in the area. I have a 5’x10’ and got the first month 1/2 off.
Have had a great experience since day 1. The service has been top notch and I'd like to thank Alex, since he made our move in process fast and easy. Answered all our questions and was very friendly! A big plus is that this location is kept very clean, staff does a good job of doing their rounds to ensure this.

This place is ridiculous we are moving and cannot vacate our unit till the 2nd of march and instead of prorated for the 2 days we have the unit past the 1st we have to pay the whole month. No other storage facility would charge for the month they would prorate for the days. Public storage sucks we will never use this company again

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER HAD. I had my things moved out a week before and as a courtesy I scheduled a move out date online for 2/1/2020. I came in today and they tell me I need to pay for another month. There was NEVER a disclaimer online to let the customer know that they should schedule their move out date by the 31st to avoid getting charged. The staff members were no help and I vow to warn all of my friends and family to NEVER BRING THEIR BUSINESS WITH PUBLIC STORAGE.

Beware!!! Dont sign up in this location! Are unit was robbed! Cameras dont work! Dont trust anyone, even the employees! Save your time and investments and get a good location. With alarms and working cameras. Many people were targeted here and alot of stories of theft. Should have taken there advice long after they told me.

I do not recommend this storage facility and please avoid coming 👎. They will be friendly til you sign and then the headaches begin. The staff lacks customer service and do not attend to customers needs. I've asked for assistance days before with notice and instead of help I get blames, excuses, and no alternatives. Not just once but every time I use the storage. Go across the street or Google another storage. This storage needs to hire people with experience or a new property manager. The old property manager was there for about 20 years and he was the best. Also, all 5 star reviews on this storage are one-time users and were probably relatives of the manager.

Not a safe place to have your things. Some one got into my mom's space and stole many things we saved for years. The insurance covers almost nothing. Camaras were not working and they don't even have a security. Don't waste your time and money here. To make a payment over the phone with credit card they charge $20 🤨

Honestly, I don't know if I caught him on a good day or what but it genuinely seems like he loves his job. I don't know many people who can project that and not seem like BS. I dont look like a high roller so he really had no reason to be nice to me. He is friendly and inviting. Dear PS, dont pass on him for promotions he is the kind of employee who makes your business better! Promote him and retain him before you lose him to another company. Customer service is A+

The Public Storage Company on 400 Grand St in the city of Santa Ana is absolutely a terrible company in my opinion. I have paid 520.00$ in three months at Public Storage. They charge 15 $ in late fees, Public Storage also charges 10$ for making a payment over the phone and since my wife signed up on the 21 of August we all were under the impression payments were do at the end of September. It turns out it was do on the first of September even though we signed up on 8/22/19 and as a result we were charged multiple late fees of 15$ which is a 20% tax. Plus a 10$ fee three times for making a payment over the phone to an automated system. My point is that there are way to many Storage Facilities around to deal with this kind of business. Simply put, you will be nickel and dimed for any mistake you make regarding a payment at Public Storage. Public Storage and there employee's will not explain things as they are and should be regarding payments, because the Public Storage on Grand St just want your business and will lie to you and go to any lengths to get your business because management lives on the property and she will do anything to keep a roof over her head, for obvious reasons. It would not surprise me if someone was skimming the books. Do not make the same mistake I made by going to Public Storage. You will end up being charged late fees, convenience fees, ECT. As my daughter would put it. Public Storage on Grand St is super wack !

The rental prices seem competitive. The hallway lighting in the inside storage units is barely adequate. The lighting in the units, themselves, is non-existent.

WORST PLACE EVER. Negligent and careless with other people’s belongings then refuse to take responsibility for their inactions. Arson of the units caused significant losses- I lost everything i owned. I have nothing and PS gave me a song and dance from district manager to the lazy careless employees.

When I walk into public storage Veronica explain to me from top to bottom what size I need to get for my storage. She gave me the best customer service ever. I was in a hurry to go to work. I told her in the meat department for Ralph's. She explained to me about the storage. I explain to her that we have ribeye steaks and lobster tail on sale. We both laughs. That why I choose this place. It's that type of good customer service that will make me come back.

This public storage has not been the same since Kith has not been there..... I been getting storages there for a long time. But will be last time.. For all those public storage buyers, look now this receptionist that they have here at this location, that don't do there job how they have to... Public storage buyers I am trying to see if I could get what was in my storage back.... The biggest thing there was in that storage was my big snap on tool box... Look that is my tool box so I can keep working... The tool box with all the tools in it, it's invested in it close to $6,000, and I am still paying it I know my storage was sold for $1,500, I am willing to pay $500 more as long as I could get my stuff back. Please this people the way they do things is not right..

I was impressed by how the employees here treat their customers well. Madius was very patient and professional with me throughout the whole conversation. He helped me understand about their rules, pricing, etc. Would recommend anyone to seek him out if they need help.

I needed a storage for my daughter who lives close by but doesn't have a enough room for her things in her in law unit. I wanted some place not too big, well managed and with units that someone can just drive up to. I reserved a unit online and within minutes received a gracious phone call from Veronica the manager. We set up an appointment with her for the next day. She explained everything very well and treated us like gold.

They don't have restrooms for there customers and they tell you that you can't smoke on the property even in your own car ,and they made us pay for another lock after someone drilled our first one out did nothing even though we have insurance on the unit

The hours are horrible, there gates break down frequently and they NEVER post a sign or come out to let you know the gate is not working and let you in at the exit gate. (Being that only opens from the inside! Lastly staff personal is all in your personal business and hardly give you any privacy.

Ive had my storage here for a few years and never had a problem until yesterday. Maria the site manager called me and apologized regarding her district manager Amber Keller for her inprofessionalism. There was mail delivered and did not have the unit number so Maria saved it at her desk for us. Ms. Keller decided to open my mail and throw my documents in the trash. At the end of the year i will no longer do business with public storage because i feel my property will not be safe guarded at this location. Ive had this storage for 5+ years and it took one incident to remove my property and no longer deal with this location

They are always late .. to their work the store should open at 9:30 am not 9:40 .. 10 min and sometimes 15min . My husband has call several times and no one pick the fone up. They are probably good people but they should be more responsible with their work .

This place was amazing! Super convenient location and super friendly staff. Maria is so sweet and Keith was especially helpful. I would definitely use this place again. My only suggestion would be to add a golf cart. It would make it much easier to get around.

Great place to store your extra belongings. Anna the front desk clerk was awesome and she knew exactly what to say and do. She made me feel welcome and broke everything down for me so i would not leave with any unanswered questions.
We applied for an online discount and were eligable only to be told we werent eligable at the place because we were not american citizens holding california ID. We only left our things in storage for three months. We checked our stuff out today to find there were maggots in our stuff!! I have to throw out my mattress, pillows, etc. We were over charged on a technicality and in return we got bugs. There is a storage place right across the street go there instead if you value your belongings.

Public Storage has been such a God Send, my stuff might just be "stuff" but I have accumulated a lot of little treasures over the years that need a safe place and a place with easy access. Public Storage has both along with a good secure, well lit, dry and close to freeways 5 and 22. The staff Mikey and MARIA along with exelent management ( Hi Keith ) have always been readily available to handle any situation from boxes tape packing materials.... rest room available, always clean and equipped. 5.5 stars satisfaction guaranteed! Price increased after 3 months of being there. I was told by the guy who works at the office that price will be increased after one year when I asked him. At first the schedule was from 6am to 10pm and they shorted it from 9:30am-6:00pm due to some people who were not respecting the property. Instead of taking corrective action against those miss behaved customers they took action against customers who were not messing up in the storage property. I decided to move out because I was notified by mail that price will be increased again. At least if they reduced the access hours they should of reduced the price as well. Not fair!!!!!

The people that work here are really nice. Facility is really clean and appears to be well maintained. Depending on the space that you get you might be required to buy a lock and they will charge for insurance if you are not certain if your insurance covers your stuff. So be prepared to spend an additional $11 to $35 dollars above your expected move in fees.

Do yourself a favor and do not give this business your hard earned money. Its a dog and pony show to get you in, and then they change 180 degrees. FIRST, you do not get the 1st month free UNLESS you move in on the 1st of the month. If you move in the 25th you get only 5 days free, SECOND, they changed the hours of access from 6 AM to 9 PM to 930 AM to 6 PM. WHAT? So now I had to take time off work to access my things? When I saw the manager Keith at the gate, I asked when they sent notice that the hours had changed. He said they didnt, they put signs up on the door. Really? So no phone call, no email, no letter? His answer when I asked what I was supposed to do? Call the regional manager, Jillian. I called. Surprise? No answer and still no call back. OH BY THE WAY.... he allowed another person in the gate while I was standing there with my family after 630 PM. So I guess Keith can pick and choose who he allows in after hours. Really nice Keith. Way to take care of your customers.Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Worst storage experience ever. So now they force you to take time off work to get to your things. What a joke. Shame on Keith and Jillian for the WORST customer service ever. Oh yeah, they are too cheap to get golf carts to show you the property. Unlike other storage places, which do have carts, this place does not. Even the employees tell you when you walk with them that Keith is cheap and not a good boss, Funny when employees try to warn you about the shady business they are employed at. Buyer beware when you come here.

My mom and sister had an un expected move recently. Temporarily leaving out of state, however most of her belongings were put in the storage she had no time to shop for moving necessities and rather please when she sees public storage has everything she needed. . All in all what made her experience very helpful and easy was the very polite employees Nadine and Anthony . My mom was worried about her furniture along with other things , and these employees made sure she had exactly what she needed . I had a great experience with the Staff at the GRAND/SANTA ANA LOCATION. MR Keith, Mike, Eduardo have been very helpful and is always there to giveA a hand when I need it. I have used public storage before at other locations but the Staff here at the Grand Location those guys are awesome!!!! Public Storage is a "Less than pleasant" company to do business with... But the staff at this location go out of their way to make up for corporates shortcomings (when they can). I have rented space here through 3 different owners (over 12 years) and it makes no difference to the home office, if I don't like it - I can vacate. If it weren't for the patience and good nature of Keith, I would have been gone long ago (He deserves all 5 Stars). It's time the executives began to appreciate their customers and their staff as the ones who keep them in business. You spend a lot on advertising to get new customers, how about trying to keep the existing ones!

This public storage facility is the best I have ever been to. I needed a unit in a hurry. The customer service representative quickly transferred my call to this location. Within twenty minutes I was done with the paperwork and unloading my things. They even offer a one dollar first month promotion. What a deal! The employees here really care about your belongings as well. After we had left the facility, I received a call from them letting me know my lock was placed incorrectly. They offered to monitor my locker until I was able to return to lock it appropriately. Great business and highly recommended! They guy next to me is storing his vintage Lamborghini in his locker so you know the place is safe to store anything.
I had a good experience at this storage facility. Storage facilities can be creepy places and I was fortunate not to have that feeling here. Keith does a great job connecting with the customer on a personal level as well as a business level. I recommend this facility as a good place to conduct business.

KEITH, MIKE, EDUARDO, AND HEATHER!!! Awesome crew here they have always made themselves available, and a couple of times let me borrow a handtruck when I forgot mine. Ask for Keith he always helps and answers any questions or needs that I may need. The site is always clean and Stress free as moving is stressful enough. KEITH always remembers me by my name, and I appreciate that. The staff calls me to let me know before my bill is due so I'm never late and have no late fees. I highly recommend this property. My only complaint is I had to reserve a unit online to get the the online rental but again this is not this locations fault but the company's. This was very time consuming as I needed a 2nd unit right away and was a last minute situation. PLEASE MAKE THIS AVAILABLE ON THE SPOT PUBLIC STORAGE.
