Customer service is so poor I been calling for 3 weeks Noone pick up that phone. finally today a Rude Female answer.she wass not friendly at all and she acted really smart. When she answered my questions, my question was in regard to my account. That I couldn't add payment method and she just cut me off without note further information which I think is really rude, not giving customers the chance to explain things and just act with a Barry rude tone on the phone. Does it make you feel welcome in this business? I leave 2 streets down from there. And I know a lot of my neighbors rent units there for Christmas décor a lot of us at the Thunderbird community prefer to keep our Christmas home décor out of storage versus keep it in their garage. For at your a purpose, but it's not right how they treat you. There also 2 months ago I was called and said he fighting, put Automatic payment on my account. If I was moving out, I thought it was so out of place because I changed my banks.... So I would not recommend this storage to anybody go to Cathedral City, they're a lot friendlier there or Palm desert🫤🫤🫤🫤

After researching storage options in the area, I was happy to find the Public Storage Rancho Mirage facility. It's clean, secure, accessible and I feel confident storing my items there. On several occasions before making my reservation and signing up, I reached out --both via phone and in-person -- and was helped by Ben and Nancy. Both were extremely helpful in answering my questions, providing information and making the process of renting seamless. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: Received a notice that our monthly rate would be going up 40% (over 1,000 a year!). When I inquired about options to avoid this I was told that I could either 1. Reduce the size of the space (not possible for us) or 2. Request a rate increase delay. We did the request and were denied. A regional supervisor said there was no one in the entire company that is able to make an exception, their hands were tied by the "algorithm" that determines the rate. The facility and staff are still wonderful but BEWARE that your rate can significantly increase with only 30 days notice. Very disappointed that Public Storage has chosen to maximize profits over retaining customers.
The Public Storage at Rancho Mirage is the best nancy will work with you and do everything to accommodate you. .I had a broken window in my A class RV cost of replacing it is $500 .Its amazing with all the cameras they had no footage of the break in .I asked for a partial refund but was denied They told me its not their policy so why have all the cameras and security gates if someone can just walk in and break into you property

October 13, 2024 Update; We just moved out and Nancy could not have been more helpful! She updated me on procedures, helped me to understand the move out process and went above to help my daughter do the move out alone on behalf of our family. We were tenants for six years. Clean, secure facility, great communication, always calls back if you leave a message. We live out of state so it was critical to have a trusted storage facility. Clean, well organized and very helpful. Nancy is such an asset! Can’t thank you enough!

Just a reminder to folks looking for storage. Public Storage is really great about letting you move units, add and subtract units from the collection (is one unit ever enough?) and making the whole experience seamless. Alyssa has been the lead throughout our move and has been a huge part of why it's been so easy working with the team as we worked are way up to five units in two locations down to (I hope) one climate controlled unit. I still think the customer service at Cathedral City is the best. And I find myself calling them if I have questions ... even when they pertain to other units. Lots of folks are in the business of renting drywall boxes with locking doors. It's the people at Public Storage that make it the place it is.

I was vacationing in Rancho Mirage, and needed to pay a bill for my storage unit in Los Angeles. Unfortunately my account was blocked from taking credit or debit payments. I went into this location and met Nancy who was extremely helpful. She was not only able to help fix my account, she took the payment on cash, and settled my account before any further damages such as auction etc.. She had tremendous patient and a great personality. Thank you Nancy.
We were looking for an inside unit to accommodate our adventure van. Nancy showed us around and let us know of the different options available. Unfortunately, we were not able to fit our van in the available unit. Nancy was so kind and went above and beyond to try and help us out. Her customer skills are exceptional, and though it didn’t work for us this time, we will definitely consider reaching out to her in the future.
Stellar experience! The units are clean, secure, and I rented one that was climate controlled. Customer service was exceptional with Nancy personally walking me through all the access points. I’ve had a storage unit at this facility since 2019 and have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful in my dealings with them. However, in a recent issue, the manager Nancy was outstanding, remaining calm and polite while firmly educating the involved parties on the relevant PS policy.

I’m doing an updated review on Public Storage in Rancho Mirage off Highway 111. Again, as I have stated in my last review I posted I can’t say enough of the courteous, knowledgeable and great customer service that Allissa and Adrianne provided me when I needed help and questions with my existing storage unit. I also had a fragile piece of item that I needed to add to my storage and they both were so kind to helping me out with picking out the right box that would keep it safe and even help me tape the box. The office area and the grounds are still very clean. I highly recommend this place to store your items. Thanks again.
I went into Public Storage to see if they had any available units to fit my needs. They did! Customer service was excellent. Nancy and Adrienne were absolutely helpful, kind and made sure there answered questions/concerns I may have had. They helped me through the process of filling out contract. We got a 10X30' storage space at Public Storage @ Rancho Mirage, Calif. Public Storage's Nancy was our sales expert. She was extremely professional, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and accurate in handling the reservation and initial payment for our space. We recommend Public Storage Rancho Mirage highly due to the great experience we had with Nancy. In addition, Public Storage compared to the competition is by far the best.

Public Storage Rancho Mirage is outstanding for two key reasons: 1) the facility/unit/location and 2) The staff.
Nancy, in the front office,truly went above & beyond to help me with my storage needs and exceed my expectations. She is very professional and a real problem solver.
If you're like me, the amount of storage space you need can change over time. That's not a problem for these folks. Just tell them if you need a bigger or smaller unit and they'll do their best to make it happen.

Warning nice place “ Until your unit gets broken into
How it was handled is concerning They have two people on camera clearly committing a crime on their property, drilled out my lock, rob me of my contents, and did not call the police to report a crime
The lady at office said it’s my job to report the crime happened
It happen on Christmas Day, 2022. They finally contacted me a month later claiming they reached out to me several times if they were reported to the police they would’ve contacted me immediately. In the process with insurance claims through them don’t expect that to go well either but I let the public know their only responsibility is security and management both a complete failure.
SEEMS TO BE INSIDE JOB THEY HAD EVERY CODE TO GET INTO THE PROPERTY ON A DAY THEY WERE CLOSED

All the women who work here have been super helpful and nice. The place is clean and in a convenient location and as a woman I feel very safe when I am here working and in and out .
I have been dealing with Nancy at this facility and she has been wonderful. Walked me through everything I could need to easily access my space. The location of this property is perfect and feels very secure. Great experience.

I came here looking for auto storage, and I was pleased to find space here at a reasonable price. Check in was hassle-free thanks to Nancy and Hely. They took down copies of documents needed. The location is convenient and easy to get in and out. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to store your vehicle or any of your stuff! I loved my experience here. Worst experience ever. That woman named Nancy was very rude and had an attitude with me. My children we touching the supplies and she yelled at my kids. Obviously she don’t have kids or at least respect kids. Never will I ever go into that place again. I rented else where. If public storage allows that kind of behavior, then something is very wrong with this company

My unit was broken into there during summer 2021. They offered little help to no help although they claimed they knew who did it When they turned over the info to the officer on the case...everything Public Storage turned over was fake..the name, the person's info etc... they allowed someone to rent from them with all fake info - then told me that was the person who they thought broke into my unit. Don't they have camera's?? They also left the door broken to the bldg for several months. My unit was ROBBED by someone having a duplicate key. The lock was perfectly in place and when I opened it everything was gone. Horrible company, the regional manager had no desire to cooperate, and when I requested info, he very reluctantly provided it, but mostly told me he had other things to do and was too busy to have to deal with all this...I think it was an inside job -- be careful storing there...I used to think it was a good place to store-- but no longer..I lost all my mothers estate, beautiful Chanel handbags, antiques, silver etc... Dont store ANYTHING valuable there, and I would not trust them at all.

I’m a customer for about a half year now and I’m happy to report this has been a very positive storage experience. This is one of the nicer locations in the area and it’s situated right off the 111 highway which makes it very convenient for moving stuff around, loading and unloading. It’s also clean and has beautiful view of the mountains, better view than most houses in the area. I’ll be a repeat customer.

From day one, this location was very welcoming and secure. My wife and I have one of the biggest units available which are hard to find elsewhere. The manager, Nancy always says hello and makes sure we have everything we need and we look forward to seeing her and saying hello every time we stop in. The only issue I have with the location is that there is no lighting after dark in the units, so make sure to do all what you need to do before it gets dark. I'm very satisfied and rank the location 5 stars. A++
