My storage unit was broken into. I had two locks and someone took both off and replaced it with public storage unit lock.
Unfortunately this place only has cameras by the elevators so the staff Gabriel and Jose were not able to help a lot, nor did they have a clue what could have happened. I had to wait until the district manager was available to get it cut open. My unit was on the fourth floor towards the back where no one other than staff or ppl with access could get to. The last time I was working on my storage unit was on Saturday Nov 30th and I remember seeing a staff employee walk past my aisle checking the units with a piece of paper. When I came back on Monday December 2nd is when I found out my storage unit tampered with. Police report and Orange Door Insurance claim have been placed. I wouldn’t recommend this location, every time I was there staff would just look at me as if they were just watching, they would never engage in a hello or hi just creepy behavior. My items were organized in containers and the people that took my stuff took 2 of the middle container that were sitting between a stack of three! So disappointing that there are no cameras on each aisle, floor or even a more secure option to keep the unit safer. I removed all my stuff that same day Monday Dec 2 after the district manager Stella opened it because I did not feel my stuff was safe. Unfortunately I had just paid my monthly dues and Public Storage doesn’t do partial payment or reimburse you at all.

Safe, accessible and good, didn’t have any problem with storage. One bad thing is pricing is not that transparent - you can expect discounts to fade, prices to increase after 6 months or so.

I have to re review Public Storage on Pico between Sepulveda and Sawtelle. Originally i gave them a glowing review bc the manager was very nice. I had brought in 6 sets of suitcases, a box of all my mother’s papers, death certificates etc and a few other contents. After a month or so, having the lock on my door and all safety measures completed, I received a call from them stating that someone had taken stuff out of my room! I went down to the unit and all my suitcases had been stolen except for one old set plus my mother’s storage box. I told them i would be closing my box the following day and when i went back, my unit was once again opened and one piece of another suitcase had returned (still missing the two other pieces that went with it and all the other suitcases). The insurance i paid for was useless because they did not supply me with the tape,and the police report asked for receipts and dates of purchase for everything. My suitcases were not brand new so i had no receipts so they would not pay for my loss. I would definitely recommend going to another storage unit. I was so upset that I still have the remaining 2 suitcases (one missing the other two pieces) in my bedroom. I am afraid to try any other places at this point because I don’t trust any storage units. Please be careful when choosing a storage unit for your valuables.

My family and I have been using this location's storage lockers for close to a decade now. The manager (Edwin) and staff are polite, respectful, and willing to go above and beyond to help their customers. The facility has the best security in the area, and the floors/lockers are all well kept. I highly recommend storing your personal items and keepsakes at the Public Storage on W. Pico Blvd.

Had items stolen from my unit and my lock taken. They didn't seem to care. Be very careful with this place. No security cameras. No way to see who broke in. Sales assistant tried to get me a comped lock for my troubles but manager said no.

Crooks. I’m an auction buyer and they searched the room and took items before they released it to me. They didn’t even bother hiding it either. They left the unit open and ransacked. Did not look like what it did in the pictures. Proceed with caution if you’re an auction buyer.

Just want to add more recent experience also very positive with this place. ERCAN is amazing employee with great customer service skills. I was lucky to meet him, he did accommodate me even he was already closing the office for lunch when I arrived and he went back to the office and helped me with the payments. I was so grateful because I was rushing in the traffic from work to get on time. He even helped me to clean bird poop from my car :) when we were outside.

Ercan went above and beyond to help us today. Our unit is too large and we are thinking of downsizing. He opened the doors a few minutes early for us and showed us various empty units. He was friendly to everyone he encountered in the halls and seemed to know many of the customers. His bright, sunny, professional attitude was extremely refreshing. Someone should make this man a manager. He is a huge assest to any business.

I give this location and specifically Edwin, who works there, 5 stars for his incredible customer service and assistance. I accidentally dropped my keys through the elevator gap (car, home, storage keys) and Edwin, who was in the midst of his closing duties, dropped everything and came to my rescue! He went right into action to assess the situation and came up with the most ingenious idea. He went to the back and produced a magnet which he attached to a long stick. He very carefully (there was no room for error) and slowly pulled my keys out and handed them to me. He had the best attitude throughout the whole process and was simply happy he could help me! I was so moved by his assistance and attitude! The best! Thank you Edwin!!

Last week, I was searching a rental unit. I went 5 different locations. The most friendly employee was Ercan. First of all, he treated me like I was someone from his family. He showed me different units. He took his time and didn't rush. He answered all my questions and explained everything about the property. I will rent the unit in mid September. Even his location price was higher for my budget, he found me couple of different places with less price. I will choose his location. I feel very comfortable with him. Public storage lucky to have him as an employee.

Not going to lie, I expected to move everything on my own with no guidance or help. BUT ERCAN WAS THE BEST! With a super limited amount of time to move my stuff, he immediately jumped into action with a lot of good energy and information. He walked me through each step, which gave me a lot of piece of mind when it comes to security.
On that note, the facility was great! A little confusing at first, but with the app, it becomes a lot easier. Only storing stuff here for a few months, but I'll definitely use this location again when I need it!

Ercan at the Public Storage on Pico is a joy to be around. Helped me open up a new storage unit. Took the time to show me the unit first no rush and made the process a breeze. I have had MANY storage units in my lifetime already including at Public Storage locations and this was a very pleasant experience. I LOVE that my code from the app for the gate actually works too so I don’t have to get out of my car and REMEMBER or look up my code. At some locations it doesn’t always work. I also love that the dumpster is just a step away to throw out trash. Some locations you really can’t dump anything or the dumpsters are way over yonder. Lol I’m always going through my things and decided what needs to go after some time so it’s nice to be able to make that process as easy as possible. Perfect!
