Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1295 Selmi Drive, Reno, NV

This place is amazing! I was totally impressed with the fact that everything was compleated with just one phone call to Public Storage. The process could not have been any easier. I highly recommend Public Storage to anyone looking for storage solutions. This place "ROCKS"! IT'S GOOD TO BE ORANGE!

This review is on behalf of my sister Paula, who rented a storage unit in late Jan 2026. She said Brenda was most helpful in returning the new lock provided and crediting her account. Also, I was a client of self storage from April 2025 from when Excuse meI moved here to December 2025 and at every turn they were helpful and responsive to all my needs. Even though I had a really small unit, they were still treating me like I was diamond Jim Brady. I want to particularly mention, Brenda, who was very kind and friendly:)

I struggled to find the correct Public Storage facility located closest to my home. I made several different reservations at both South and North McCarran facilities, neither of which were nearest my home. Mari and Jameson were phenomenal in helping me locate the correct facility. And Mel went above and beyond her duties to help me get the best storage unit available and even ensured I got the on-line deal. These fine people turned a stressful and anxious event into a day at the beach.

Great storage place. It is very clean. There is no personel or security here which makes it unsafe sometimes. I had another gate tailgating and i had to wait for the gate to close so the guy couldn't get in with my code but i was surprised there was nobody here to report the issue. Still a good place and reasonably priced.

I’ve been using Public Storage for several years now, with three units, and I’ve always had a great experience. The facility is secure, well-maintained, and the staff has always been helpful. Today, I had an issue with my account, and Brenda went above and beyond to assist me. She was patient, understanding, and worked quickly to resolve the issue. Excellent customer service!

I had intended to rent a second 10’ x 30’ unit this month in order to transfer my belongings and save money in the long run. Instead I was instructed to transfer my storage unit at no additional cost. I met with Kayla this morning to select the new unit number. She was helpful, polite, clear and concise. The entire process took 5 minutes. Throughout the day, she checked on me and my progress (I’m 70 years old undertaking this huge project). I couldn’t be more pleased that my rent has dropped from $589 to $215 a month. Since I vacated my old unit on the 8th, the monthly rent will be prorated. The new rent ($215) will also be prorated. Kayla explained I will have a positive balance at the end of November which will be applied to December. She expects my surplus will cover next month’s rent entirely. The entire staff at this location is so helpful. They look out for their client base.

Nay is the property manager, my experience with her has been nothing but outstanding. She was prompt to take care of me and my situation finding a good size for our belongings! Living in these times right now is tough, she made it easier for me and I truly needed her professional support behind it. She is rated 5 stars for us!

This Facility has got to be in the Guinness book of world records for the most polite, enthusiastic and friendly staff. I first came to This location roughly 6 months ago, was impressed and decided to obtain a unit, which by the way was so simple and smooth to do, and in this time have been taken care of like I was family. I forgot to lock my unit one day leaving, and I received a phone call just minutes later. Roger, The facility Manager, had informed me of this and also put a lock on it until I returned. WOW! is all I have to say. I also had forgotten a small item or two outside once finished, my keys from another ring, and all returned upon my next visit to my unit. The facility has 24 hour monitoring, and when my Gate code some how was breached, they changed my code and informed me. I was handed a new Gate code and a potential disaster was diverted. All in All, Out of many years having to use a storage facility and going through hell with most, Public Storage on Selmi Drive in Reno Nevada has got to be the most pleasant experience I have ever had the pleasure to experience. So if you are looking for a very professional and well mannered facility, which is also the cleanliest I have ever seen, then your search is over and welcome to the worlds best location to trust your belongings for the best prices in town! To the staff of Public Storage on Selmi Drive, My hats off to you all, and thank you for all you do for its tenants and facility.

I've had this storage for awhile and just recently moved out my stuff. The prices started to rise more and more. Overall good place. Has an app so you can just press a button on your phone and the gate opens. Very convenient.
