My team and I have been here since 7:00 AM, moving our belongings from one unit to another because our storage unit was damaged overnight. Despite this being an issue with the facility, we have received absolutely no assistance.
We were told a customer service representative would be in the office at 9:30 AM. No one showed up. We called Public Storage and spoke with Valerie, who told us she would contact Zack, the person who runs this location, because “he tends to run behind.” After 10:00 AM, we still had not heard from anyone.
My team had to call AGAIN, only to be told he should be there “in a few minutes.”
It is now 11:00 AM. We have been here for four hours, dealing with a damaged storage unit, moving everything ourselves, and still have not received a phone call, assistance, or even had an employee show up.
This is an unacceptable level of customer service, especially for a business customer trusting this facility with company property. We will absolutely not be continuing with this storage facility and will be taking our business elsewhere.

I have a very mixed feeling over this place.
It started off okay with a reasonable rate, but my rope handle broke and I requested a new one several times from several people, and never got one, so I made my own.
Then I was sorting through some items in March and found evidence of rats and damaged items. When I mentioned this to the property manager they said they were aware of the issue and were handling it. ( There was never a notification sent out to tenants, no suggestion to check their units, nor suggest we should treat the unit.)
I them checked Google and found that there was a complaint about this issue posted in January.
I filled a claim which was a pain-staking process. Took nearly a month for the claim to be processed. (Side Note: please make sure to read you insurance policy over vermin damage, there isn't much coverage).
Just after I received the settlement for the insurance claim, we received a noticed that the rent was going up by 28%. We had to call several times to speak to someone about this, and eventually that reinstated the old rate.
Roll around to mid-June and there are still rats in block D - I saw them running on the I-beam between the units. I informed management again.
I have now cleared out the unit and the amount of rodent feces I found was ridiculous!
If they haven't got this problem under control in 5 months, will it ever be handled?
There's also been constant issues with the gate, so much so that the gate is left open most of the time now so that people can actually get in and out of the property.

I rented two spaces for 7 years. I never opened the units during this time. I went to vacate—in person—and they had spray painted my locks shut (by accident) when they repainted the entire facility two years prior. It took 2-3 weeks to get the units opened. The doors had also buckled over the seven year period. The time to get the doors reopened went into the following month. This office agreed that they would not charge me for that extra month. Today I received notice from a collection agency that they had charged me for that extra month because I never gave notice IN WRITING that I was vacating the facility. The collection agency also tried to collect back rent on a unit that wasn’t even mine. STAY FAR AWAY from this facility and Public Storage. There are many better storage facilities in and around Dallas.
I had a wonderful experience at this location thanks to Renee. Changing units to a larger size was smooth and she helped with any questions and issues during the process. Since to move she has always been there with returned calls and answers any questions I might have in a timely matter.

Got to the unit, men hanging out drinking doors propped open, trash and boxes outside. No lock for my unit. Called the support and told me to just take one from another unit. My unit was a cylinder lock not a pad lock. No attendant available. Stay away.
UPDATE 2/23/26
So that night i called and canceled my unit and requested a refund. Not only did I never received the refund but the sent me to collections! Calling support they say I was refunded, but my bank statements say otherwise. They also say they cant send me to collections since i cancel the first night. So this must be coming from the location itself. Please be careful with this place!

I had contacted this location 1707
Carrollton to view a unit, I was told by a property manager that they’d be in until 6pm. I stopped by around 4pm on Thursday 1/8/2026. and there was no one there. Called the customer service number and was told the location closes at 1pm Thursdays. Purchased a unit online just to see how it looked, the facility etc. That was MY mistake. That I will admit. The property looked decent, unit also was decent despite the rat poisoning inside. The following Tuesday night 1/12/2026… me and my spouse arrived after hours so i upgraded to the 24/7 access. This would’ve been the first time even putting anything in the unit. As soon as we got to the unit this is the disaster we saw. The hallway was trashed with what looked like someone’s belongings, garbage on the floor and had a rat chewing away. I quickly left and went to open the other hallway door to what we saw a FAMILY of RATS playing tag you’re it in the ceiling that was hanging down. We quickly left after that and i submitted my move out submission. We had to be stuck with a moving truck that night until i found A much upgraded one at a different company the next morning. I contacted Corporate to let them know and was only told that were was nothing they can do since it’s been pass 24 hours of me renting the space. No sympathy, no compassion. DO NOT RENT from this location at least , they don’t clean, it’s rat infested and it seems like the workers there are even scared to come out to the units themselves. The pictures do this place justice!

Been here almost 2 years and larry has been great the entire time. Management always answers questions and concerns super fast and have not had any issues. Give everyone a raise because they are doing an amazing job!

I'm a Returning customer and the staff at this location are friendly with great customer service! Larry helped me finish all the paperwork for my move in and he answered all my questions well 🙂 The storage complex is kept clean and never had any issues with them from my previous rental. They have promos or discounts every so often so I think that's pretty cool and can definitely be needed when moving! Who doesn't like saving some bucks ?! 🤷🏻♀️ I've recommended them before and will continue to recommend this location!

I’ve had a very pleasant experience with Kristen here. She walked me through the process and answered the questions I had. I love that she and her co-workers spend their time working out on the property but are always able to schedule an appointment with me when I need to get something done just to make sure that somebody is always by my side. Kristen made it a breeze!

On a day that nothing seems to be going right for me. I went to my Public Storage unit off I-35. I can’t find the right key to open my unit and I share my situation with Mrs Kristen at the office. She took her time and did everything possible to help and then some. I was able to get a Lock Smith on short notice. And I was able to get into my unit and have a new lock. Thank you Kristen for doing a 5 star Professional!!
The business hours posted are never accurate. No one is ever in the office, even during office hours. The place is great, but the office guy just hides in the back room behind the office all day. I see his white car parked out front, but he is never in the office. I have tried several times to go replace my lock which they cut because I was late once in 2 years. But every time I go up there, no one is in the office. They also don't ever answer the phone.
I can not recommend this public storage more and having Kristen helping Me. She was so nice and patient with helping me with finding what I needed and answering all of my questions. Definitely went above and beyond, such a great representation of what superior customer service should be.
