I was at Public Storage today helping my family move some things, and I have to say, I was very impressed with this facility. It was extremely clean and didn’t have the unpleasant smell you sometimes notice at other storage facilities. I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Ms. Layla, and she is truly an amazing person. She took the time to sit and chat with me for a while, and I enjoyed every minute of our conversation. She is so sweet, caring, and genuinely passionate about what she does. I also watched her walk through the facility three times today! So, if anyone has concerns about safety, you can feel confident knowing that Ms. Layla is paying close attention and keeping a watchful eye on the property. She is also incredibly knowledgeable. At one point, I asked her if she knew how Public Storage got started. She explained that, back in 1972, two gentlemen named Hughes and Volk got the idea from a storage facility in Houston that had a waiting list. They opened their first facility in Cajon, California, in 1972, and started the business with $25,000. I was like, WOW! She has definitely done her homework! I am honestly amazed by how knowledgeable and dedicated she is. You can tell that she truly cares about her customers and the property. I will definitely be coming back—not just because I need storage, but also to visit and talk with Ms. Layla! Ms. Layla, you truly made my day, and I believe you made a friend as well. ❤️ Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful experience. You are a beautiful representation of what great customer service should look like!

I highly recommend getting a unit or two @ public storage on garth road. Mrs. Layla was the working manager when I went in on a Saturday, she showed me other available units, and she knew the prices for them without having to look them up. She has been the most helpful person I've ever met; she should be more than a manager. She was very friendly, kind, respectful, and supportive of the information I needed. Thank You so much.

Everyone was great there. When I got to my unit, I couldn’t get in and miss Layla came to rescue me. She was very kind and helpful.

Went to the office today for a new lock and keys because I thought I lost my original. Ms. Layla was oh so helpful when she discovered I had my original key the entire time😂. She took the time to walk with me to my unit as I stood in shock while she unlocked it for me. She was so kind and willing to help! Helped save me 23 bucks😊 Thank you Ms. Layla❤️

I called with several questions about a storage unit, and she was so patient, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She didn’t just answer my questions — she went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident with everything. Miss Layla even helped me set up a reservation, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about helping people, and that absolutely came through in my conversation with her. I’m really hoping I get to work with Miss Layla when Monday comes because having someone like her there makes such a difference! She is truly an asset, and her kindness and exceptional customer service deserve to be recognized. Update #3 - I was contacted by another decision maker who was able to resolve my concerns. Helen was able to extend a goodwill adjustment to my account and everything has been resolved. Thank you Helen! Update #2 - I was contacted by a decision maker regarding the rent increase, and I thought I had everything worked out. I turned off autopay until the issue was resolved, but before I could turn it back on I was change a late fee, and they charged me the $15 I disputed (the difference between my previous rate and the new rate) after I told them I would contact the bank and ask them to resolve the dispute in favor of Public Storage. Very disappointed that what I thought was a reasonable resolution has devolved into another issue I have to deal with. To top it off, the only autopay method that they are allowing me to use is direct debit from a bank account. That’s not how you to treat a customer who had a valid concern yet was on autopay for 14 months. I can understand this approach for a chronic delinquent customer, but not for one whose credit score is in the top 1% of the national average. SMH. Update: Avoid using Public Storage. The pricing is predatory and is nothing more than a bait and switch. In a little over a year my rate increased by 100%, from $30 to $61/mo. Also, the staff is very quick to respond to positive reviews, while less than favorable reviews do not receive a response. This behavior only confirms that they are not genuinely concerned about the customer experience. This will be our last month renting a storage space from Public Storage. This is a new facility so it’s nice; however, I received a notification that the rent would increase from $30/mo to $46/mo. This is an increase of 51%, after only renting a space for four months. I would recommend that anyone considering renting a space at Public Storage be cautious regarding rate increases. There are less expensive alternatives in the area that will meet my storage needs.

Employees are extremely helpful and trustworthy.
