No one answers the phone and I’ve been calling every day for a week. 8/1/24 11:16 AM CST Just got back home from this place and it looks like the manager just sits in his car the whole shift. Don’t expect anyone to answer if you call he’s sitting in the car with some woman :)

Initially I gave this location a 5 star review during the company being identified as simply storage. However since it has been brought to my attention that public storage has now taking over the property things have gotten very difficult. The first problem that I ran into is that simply storage had sold the property to public storage and later changed the rates, once informed I should have made preparation to change properties but I continue to rent a space. Second I received a phone call stating that there would be a change in how we would be able to access the units over the phone. Last I arrived at the location trying to access my unit but there was no one there on the property. I was fortunate enough to be able to reach the tech support hotline after making many attempts. This was a difficult time for me, I received so many technical error issues just trying to initiate communication to them . I remained calm but highly skeptical about doing business with public storage in the near future. Last but not least I received a phone call after hours of operation from I'm assuming the property manager after making many attempts to reach her. During the time of me conversating with her I inquired how would I be able to rent a space with there being no one in the office. She replied," there was a trailer located next to the property where they were allegedly to be". I kept my next response to myself, debunking that statement because when I approached that trailer as well it was completely dark. Also if this statement was proven to be true there should have been some sign on the building or indicator stating that they were now located in the designated trailer which they may actually be operating however for that day they were either not responding appropriately or not there. If a senior citizen was to be challenged with all these dilemmas Im almost certain they would be defeated. For one, most senior citizens rely on face to face communication, also kinda skeptical about technology (referring to tech support). Second there where no signs informing you how to rectify your issue, meaning that the property managers or immediate staff would be moved to a nearby trailer.

I recently rented this unit. I haven’t been back until today to find my lock that was an approved lock removed and a public storage and a red lock on my unit. I haven’t even been here a month yet. This should be illegal because I don’t have a payment due until March 1st. I’m highly upset about this. Now I’m sitting here waiting on the office to open. In the mean time I’ll be contacting my attorney to validate that this is illegal.

In September this place was purchased by public storage and since I’ve been over charged in October and November. Public storage refuses to fix the situation and figured out a way to blame me for it. The customer service representatives I spoke to barely speak English and have zero customer service skills. On top of that the facility raised my rent 3 times in 12 months and were advertising the same size unit in the same building a few doors down for $100 less! I would never ever recommend anyone rent from them. Absolutely horrible experience since Public Storage took over

Anna was amazing I’ll give her 10 stars if I could. I was moving a 26’ truck by myself and she noticed I didn’t have any water or food in this heat she gave me a few bottles of water and a bag of pretzels. When it was time to move my truck I got stuck because it was huge she helped me out without her help I would have knocked a few polls down.

We loved this storage unit when it was Storage Choice. When it changed to Simply Self Storage we were apprehensive but they have been great….up until the point that they raised our monthly rent 40$ with short notice. We are looking to move our unit to another location.

Anna was a great help, she was kind and very informative about the property and the storage facility. I would highly recommend her to assist with all your storage needs.

I had been trying to get in contact with simply storage across town for days and the call center deferred my call over here so I could get my questions answered. In walks Devon. Even though he knew I wasn’t going to be storing my things there he patiently answered all my questions, looked up what he didn’t know, and helped me plan my move. I seriously considered the extra 30 minutes it would take me to get there from my place just so I could do business with him. If you’re lucky enough to be in his area I’m sure you will be highly satisfied. 👍🏾

This place has gone downhill since the company took over. Very poor customer service, excessive fees and the rent is too high for a non climate control unit. Beware, your stuff will be ruined at this facility because the units flood when if rains and you can't make Max use of your unit. UPDATE, thanks for the bs reply. Considering all the other reviews about your company, I'll be sure and tell everyone I know about how you increase rents WITHOUT NOTICE and charge excessive fees. You are a predatory company with the worst customer service I've seen.
