Storage units are very dusty! When moved in, need down to do something with black pants on and my pants were covered and dust traffic from people's feet/??? The door to get into the other side of the storage unit. A bit frustrating. Ended up closing out my storage space because the price was going to more than double. Was advice could possibly have at lowered, but that didn't work either on the rough side or the 800 customer service side. Most times I've been there, walking through the halls, constant smell of urine, kind of like a cat urine so don't know if it's from the mice rats or what?

The whole process of setting up the rental was quick and easy, and I was pleasantly surprised at how convenient it was to access the unit—no hassles at all. First they accused of using a fraudulent bank account so now we can't pay with a check or credit card and then we tried to pay with cash and only certain places will take cash and none of them were open or nobody was in them this is one of the worst customer service identifying out they never even tried my bank account I've asked my children to move their storage unit to somewhere else

31505 grosbeck location. Christy was wonderful. She managed to get me a discount on rent on one unit and help with my other units.
Had a storage unit for 2 months in May of 2024 and the building on the 2nd floor caught on fire, i see they demolished and rebuilt recently . Pretty sketchy environment, weird individuals walking around like they live in units. Called staff and told them my concerns and was told they’ll keep note before the fire. Was not a good experience having our 1st storage unit ever (after being skeptical for months after all the horror stories of storage units). Would not trust this place to store my belongings ever again, as it seems the security is little to none after you access the gate.
changing my review, checked this morning to see monthly cost secretly raised 60$, and for what?? the same thing we've been paying for. no warning, no update telling us anything, just hey heres your next months bill, oh its an extra 60$. we are going to be emptying it within the next month and cancelling it. do not rent from them unless you want to gradually lose an arm and a leg, or more paying them.
If I could leave less stars for them I would. I got the unit in November /December of 2021 was leaving to go out of state within a month of being gone they upped the rent $30 and that should have been a forewarning for me I started out paying $125 or so I just moved all my stuff out today December 2024 and the rent was $235. The insulation that fell from the ceiling got in all of my stuff. And they also would refuse to let you use a dumpster. I am now at compass storage paying about $150 for a 10x30 and I was paying $235 for a 10x10 at this place. Awful! They treat loyal customers horribly and rape you on the price

Recent fire in the bldg where my unit was, no damage to my space. But I found out I was paying for a unit supposedly in a controlled climate building, which I asked for and is stated that way on the website, but it was not. When I asked about it I was told there is no such thing. Yes, there is, and I am moving my things to a different storage company that actually has one. If not for the fire my antiques I was storing could have been damaged in the winter weather coming up. Glad I found out before that happened.

This facility should be Closed ‼️Everything about it is unprofessional and ran by extremely poor management!a fire in the establishment and you don't physically connect the customers affected. Email isnt enough ! unfortunately for me i was hospitalized and couldn't access the phone yet along email!

This place ain't nothing but a rip off they find all kind of ways to get your money and they not clean I will never use this location again and they quick to auction off your stuff they cut my lock off put there's on and told me I had to pay for there lock, why not just put y'all lock on with my lock that way I still can't get in my unit with y'all lock on but no just another way to get money out of you.

Hate em! Up your prices everyother month , my place on Chicago Rd. Very drill Sargent like. Uncaring employees , when and if you can find them. Space when and if they want to open the door even though they're not at lunch. Just a very bad experience I do not recommend that establishment on Chicago road by the Oakland
The public storage on Groesbeck and 13 mile is one of the best storages that I’ve used. Cassandra the clerk was a great help and has been for the last few years. She’s awesome!!! I would recommend this storage facility to anyone who’s looking for a great , clean and Useful storage.

I’ve been with them for 2 years now & my rate continues to increase for the small space. I live out of out of state. I value my time and made 2 appointments with Cassandra when I was back in Michigan and no one was in the office for our appointments.

My moving day was like from the pits of hell! But from the start of my process, Cassandra was an Angel! She accompanied me to three units until I was able to choose the right size as well as price!!! She cleans this facility ALONE!!! As well as each time I see her she’s polite, never inducing her working day issues on to me!!! The last time I was in my unit, she was actually removing branches, parts of TREES etc which I said WHY SHE DID NOT HAVE ANY MEN AVAILABLE TO ASSIST HER But as usual she did not complain!!! Assisted me and continued working! Sandy is the BEST !!!!! She’s at the Fraser location!

Had a unit reserved for weeks. Went to public storage with a uhaul full of stuff ready to check in at 3pm. Place was CLOSED! Was supposed to be open til 5pm. Had to go to a different public storage location and ended up having to pay MORE MONEY for a different unit because of THEIR inconvenience. No notification they would be closed early or anything. A complete waste of time & money. I'll never use this company again.
