It’s a small, out of the way location that feels safe. Diane was very friendly and let me know about the new app when she saw me doing the gate manually! Have been using a unit here for years and have never had a major issue. Costs are always a concern but that’s a corporate issue

The units are perfect and decently priced. Brittany is really friendly and has kept everything extremely clean. She is super professional but at the same time very welcoming. Overall a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve been a loyal customer with a flawless payment record since 2017. I’ve been renting the same 7.5 x 10 ft. storage unit where I started off at $96 month less than 4 years ago. I just got notified that my new monthly rent is going up again...to $157.00! Furthermore the increase comes one month short of a year of the last increase. Another funny thing are the amounts of the monthly increases: 2017-2018 + $4 2018-2019 + 13 2019-2020 + 28 2020 - 2021 + 12 Please tell me what justifies a 64% increase in fees in less than 4 years? I’ve checked my PS stocks and there’s no return there... so what gives? I think you overcharge the loyal customers to compensate for the deadbeats. I don’t think I’ll continue with this annual gouging of my wallet. I’m sure I’ve out paid the value of my stored stuff with thus treatment.

I didn't like the hidden fees that don't appear until you have to put your payment info in. You get charged $20 for a lock and $15 extra a month for insurance, plus administrative fees and tax and yadda yadda yadda. I still went through with renting at this location though.

Clean units

I come in here from time to time to get moving supplies. Brittany the manager is always very helpful. She makes finding what I need very easy.

Poor maintenance and rodents

I was looking for a storage unit and had a few questions and thankfully found the property manager Brittany who showed me the ropes and was very helpful. Great staff and place was clean!

I moved in to a unit here with the intent to eventually move a vehicle into this unit. Then the virus worsened, my job cut hours, and above all else I got sick. I was not able to pay for 2 months of storage space since I had to prioritize other expenses. Not to mention I had orders to stay in the house. This company harassed me at least once a day, even calling my dad about my unit space. I eventually spoke to Paula (the facility manager) their customer service center (which the representative I spoke to was insanely rude) and the district manager, Brad, all of which in so many words told me, “Hope you feel better, we take cash, card and check”. The unit was EMPTY and had I not been sick I would’ve made the time to close out my account with them sooner. It’s absurd to me how inconsiderate this company is during this difficult time and based on this experience I would NEVER recommend anyone store anything through Public Storage.

Great service by Paula and Brittany!

Overall an awesome experience. I reserved my storage unit online. Within 5 minutes I had a call from a representative to schedule a time for me to come by and fill out the paper work. I was able to do most of the registration online beforehand so that made it very easy. At the facility, Brittany was very prepared. She showed me the unit and then had me complete the paperwork. She had my gate code ready to go and explained the process for entering and exiting as well as other rules. Brittany was really helpful. I highly recommend this storage facility.

Brittany was amazing. Our move day was anything but smooth and I had to change our appointment 3 times. Brittany took it in stride and got us situated with our new storage space.

Do not store stuff here!!! Mice, insects, moisture. My electronics were ruined. Hole in the door allowed insects, roaches and moisture and water to get into unit. Management did not care. Tried to move stuff out in time to avoid another wasted fee of $200 but they billed me anyways even though I was out by the first. The storage units on the north side are in very rough shape. There is trash and leaves from last year in front of the units. Insects, roaches and mice are prevalent. There is a branch on the north side that has been broken and blocks traffic that has been down for a year. When I complained about the issue the clerk said " what do you want me to do, cut down ALL the trees!?" I said no, just clean the leaves on the ground and perform maintenance!

Jessica was thorough, friendly, efficient and helpful. The grounds look clean and secure and prices are reasonable. Get on this Fall sale while you can!

Immaculately maintained facility.

Paula was superb!!

Avoid at all costs. The outdoor units are infested with mice. It’s clean when you move in but within a month I had mouse droppings everywhere. I called management and they said there was nothing they could do. They still increased my rent by over 20 percent within 6 months. I found a dead mouse in my unit so now I have to pay someone again to move everything before it’s all ruined by the mice. It’s not worth the initial savings all the damage I have incurred. The staff are friendly but that doesn’t help if your property is ruined. Go elsewhere.

Paula was very sweet and helpful. The sign up and close out process was pretty easy. Movers were able to get in and out. Access hours were reasonable most of the year.

This place had great customer service and the young lady that worked with me was just amazing. She took her time explaining everything to me and showing me different units. I moved from Leesburg, VA to Columbia, MD and from a 2000 sq ft town home into a 1200 sq ft condo. extra space was needed to store furniture and other items not used every day. I found the help and service a pleasure, always treated like family.

I wrote a negative review 2 months ago, I was asked to change my review to positive and they would put my rate back to what i signed up for. They change my rate about 2 months after my unit was broken into and I had to repurchase a lock. I was under the assumption this location had cameras. (But they dont) After they corrected my rate for changing my review to positive now 2 months later they've increased my rate again. Which I Specifically asked if this was going to happen and I was told no.

Today, I received the best customer service ever from any storage facility I've used in the past. Tiffany was absolutely amazing! She definitely knows her job, the computer system and she listens to her customers needs and is quick to remedy a solution. She turned a glim situation upside down and I appreciate her efforts. Thank you Tiffany, I definitely see Manager/District Manager is in your near future.

Morgan has not only greeted us in most friendly and professional manner, and gave us a tour of the whole facility and answered in a simple language all of our questions. We felt at ease and safe trusting our earthly possessions to her care.

Tiffany was super helpful and supportive. I'm only giving 4 stars because the automatic payment system there forces payments on the 1st even though I tried to occupy the unit on the 15th.

I called in to the Elkridge location and spoke to Tiffany and had the best custom experience that I've had in a long time . She knew a lot about her job and took care of all my needs very quickly and proffesionally :).

I would like to personally thank Christine @ this public storage, I recently had something happen with my unit- and even though she was off when it occurred she called me back when she returned to make sure everything was good, asked if I had any questions & assured me it would handled quickly Thank you so much!!

Hidden fees up the wazoo. $1 for the first month became over $130 for the first month because is apparently only covers 30 days and there's 31 in July (we understood we had to be out by the 30th, which we were), so they throw in a $23 charge for the extra day in July and then late fees for not paying it (we didn't know!!! & after I called like 2 weeks earlier and made sure I wasn't missing anything, because I was paranoid about some random hidden fees, and they said I was good to go and confirmed the move-out date of the 30th). Anyway, to get it figured out, I had a ton of trouble because the property manager closed out the account with the fees attached so my account info didn't work anywhere online/over the phone. Then customer service "couldn't" waive the fees apparently so they contacted the district manager to do it (since my account was closed). District manager waives the late fees but not the 'extra day' fees that we didn't even know was an extra day. Then I go to pay and can't pay anywhere!! Three phone numbers get dead ends, then I can't log in online to pay. Finally get online through calling cust. service for the millionth time and the fees weren't waived.. Well, apparently this particular customer service rep can waive them (why couldn't the last one? Same phone number!!). So in the end, basically I have extra fees due to property manager incompetence and misinformation!! After I tried extra hard to make sure I wasn't going to get charged/go over/incur any late fees or fees otherwise! Incredible! I highly discourage public storage in general and especially this facility! Not to mention, the light bulb was broken inside the socket so we couldn't even use our own light bulb in there until we went and dug it out of there.

I came in to get a few boxes. I ended up getting a package. Christine carried it out for me & even helped me put it in my car! Outstanding customer service

The other day my mother came into public storage to rent. michelle was outstanding and if I could give her 10 stars I would. My mother is handicapped in a wheelchair, everytime michelle spoke to her it was face to face around the counter. Michelle helped wheel her to her unit so she didnt stuggle wheeling herself, and even helped bundle her up because it was cold that day. She put my mother first and I appreciate knowing my mother was in good hands. When they got back michelle offered the best protection for my moms stuff you could tell she wasnt just trying to get her to buy but she really cared. My mom already brought her own lock but michelle insisted on a public storage lock. When it was time for my moms to sign her papers she brought a clip boardI around to her and went over all the paperwork so my mom felt comfortable with everything sheI was signing she was wonderful . Its good knowing my mother was taken care of when her children couldn't be with her , we hope to see michelle when we come . GodI bless

Excellent service! Donna was great. I was in & out in no time.

Donna provided wonderful customer service and even though she was unable to assist us with renting a storage unit. She was able to connect us with someone that helped us out. This was really helpful because we had just drove 12 plus hours and was worn out and needed to get our stuff unloaded and relax. Thanks a lot Donna!

Came in with my uncle to rent a space at this location and the property manager Ms. Donna was very professional. She greeted us as soon as we walk through the door with smile and asked question in details room by room on what my uncle was storing at first I was like why so many question? She than explained that my uncle need to protect his things that he would be storing from beginning to end. After asking detailed question she went over benefits of the property gate hours etc. Upon completing paper she went over everything with my uncle what really put the icing on her customer attitude was when she walked us back outside to the key pad to ensure that the code worked properly and ask have she provide 5 star service I thought to myself my she have went beyond 5 star service I would definitely recommend others to rent at this location lastly the property was very clean.

Donna was very helpful in determining what size storage unit I needed and also pointing me in the right direction for boxes, bubble wrap, and such.

Donna is amazing! I had a very tough time getting storage at an ez storage (long story about poor customer service in Columbia). I found this public storage on the same day. Donna is very friendly. She is great at her job as well. She was fluid and moved me in without any challenges -- very smooth operation. I got a really great price (online) as well.

I have had a pleasant and professional experience so far with the facility, clean and easily accessible. Ms. Donna the Property Manager, called me before I checked in to ensure that I could come in and sign in my lease while she was on shift. I missed my appointment time due to a moving conflict and she was still very nice and professional, which is rare these days in a lot of customer service businesses! And when I did get there, she took her time to explain everything to me. I even forgot my code once and she didn't hesitate to pull it up for me. Within minutes of booking unit online I got a call from the property manager Donna and about an hour after that met her at the property, got a tour and proceeded to confirm my online booking. Clean space. Friendly and helpful property manager. Donna will show you various sized units if not sure what is needed. Competitive prices and good first time customer online promotions. Donna walked through terms of lease in a professional manner, she does encourage you to purchase materials, locks, packing boxes, insurance, etc but be sure to only buy what you really need. Although the prices seemed reasonable and they were running various specials. Process took longer than I would have liked, but overall a positive experience.

Danna was really helpful with information that I needed with my storage unit. This was my first time here and she walked me to my unit to fine it faster. She also called in a cap for me before I finished getting my stuff in the storage so I didn't have to wait for a cap. Danna is really helpful.
