They cut the lock off of my unit because they thought i wanted to cancel my storage unit. I asked how they could do that without a signature from me requesting the unit closed? They had no explanation as to how or why that happened. I had to go in and reapply and get a new unit even though it was their mistake. That makes me very scared of how they operate because the stuff in my unit is very sensitive stuff. They did make it right but i had to go in to register all over again. Not a good feeling of safety for my belongings.
I have been a customer with Public Storage in Beltsville for some time, and appreciate how well the administrative staff functions, and their knowledge of the business. I also appreciate the willingness to work with customers to right size spaces to one's needs. I specifically wish to thank Ms. Giovanne for her great customer service and helpfulness concerning my numerous questions. Customer service is top notch!

I visited this location because I needed somewhere to store my valuable belongings. I was helped by Giovanne and it was one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. She was super knowledgeable, clarified any questions, and just had a welcoming presence. I wanted to make sure that I picked a facility that I trusted and could communicate with at any time. Not only did I walk out with a unit, but I spread the word to all family and friends. If you are looking for a place to store your belongings in the area, please pay this location a visit!!!!!!!! The spaces are very clean reasonably priced I do recommend that you try public storage for your self I am very satisfied. The only problem I have is that there is no 24 hour access ๐

Jovon was great in assisting with verifying my move out. I left a voicemail the previous day and she follow up with me next day to verifying my information and ensured I didn’t get charged. Great customer obsession!
I had my storage unit for 2 years. In the time frame my storage monthly rate price increased 3 different times. I’m thankful that my items were secured and nothing was missing when I went through my belongings. However, the price I was paying included temperature controlled unit and no bugs. It was freezing cold during the winter months whenever I would go in to check my storage. No matter the time of day it was freezing in the building. I would get random emails informing renters of charges for others not returning the storage dollies to the lobby and a lock combination lock deposit. Also upon moving out I saw dead insects in my belongings and found a live maggot on a garment of clothing that was safely stored in a storage bin. Thats disgusting and gross. Overall decent space with increasing high prices and freezing building temperatures. Not worth the price if you have to freeze visiting your storage unit and worry about insects crawling in your things.

Under new management from EZStorage, I believe, Public Storage's customer service has been top notch so far. Spoke with a Property Manager, Aaron, who let me know that even if I was unable to move out by the end of month, I could put in a refund request if I moved out shortly after.
I was about to eat the cost of the whole month!
EDIT: As it turns out, I was unable to be refunded as was originally discussed.
The rent was raised and the office/access hours shortened, which is a bit of a pain, but otherwise my stuff was all safe and intact for over a year-- exactly what I was paying for.
Absolutely amazing service , Giovanne made it such an ease and really helped me moving my grandmothers belongings so easy and stress free ๐๐๐๐
