We’ve had this storage unit for over 25 years and have been well satisfied with the service, ease of access, and security of this facility.
However, because of unexpected circumstances, we had been thinking of moving. Michael has been a great help over the past year, easy to talk with, and very proactive. More recently, Darian (who is also empathetic and a good listener) has helped work out a temporary solution.
It has been a pleasure to talk with both of these people, we very much appreciate their ‘can do’ attitude and are looking forward to having our unit for some more years at this facility.

I'll start by saying that their manager, Steve, was always polite and helpful. He made the entire process very easy.
The good: Introductory prices are reasonable, lots of unit sizes, relatively clean. Easy to get in and out.
The bad: Once the introductory price ends, they are very expensive. The app that opens the gate stopped working and no one could help with that.
I used this place as temporary storage during a move. It served the purpose nicely and it was a good experience. I would return as a customer.

UPDATE 9/3/24: The district manager called me and was really nice said she’d take care of it and lower it to the last payment of $179. Seemed more concerned about me removing this post. I said when I see the price reduced and I don’t taste the poison in my mouth when I return that’s when I’ll go ahead and remove this post. Fast forward this past weekend had a gentleman call me in regards to my conversation with her and asked me to remove the post. Well, I went to see the unit, the smell is gone but there are holes in my boxes and baby blankets with holes that we had to throw out due to rodent feces and damage. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, I get my bill and it was reduced THIS month to $179 and says next month will be $244.
Added the screenshot below from tonight. I’m extremely disappointed with the constant calls to remove this post and no resolution. Needless to say, I will be removing all my things and taking my business elsewhere where they care about customers health in their facilities and stick to their word about the reduced cost. Really aggravating and disappointing!
Had one of the big units and moved into a smaller 10x10 unit due to rent being raised after only being there a few months. Then the rent was raised another TWO times in a year went from $135 to $244. Went there today since it’s been a year and just wanted to grab a couple things and as soon as I open the door, a dead baby rat still wet and rotting. Pictures attached. I have rat feces all over my belongings. And the smell of rat poison nearly gave me an asthma attack. They need to have professionals come and not just set out rat poison everywhere in the open. I’m not paying $244 a month to have my belongings ruined! This was pretty upsetting after raising my rent three times in total in a year. Been there two years now. Please fix your rodent issue!

Steve was a lifesaver! My daughter and I turned up with a hospital bed on wheels. First we had to change the size of the unit I had reserved—because the bed was too big to fit in the initial unit. A great experience renting a storage locker at this location thanks to Steven the manager. I visited first to see the unit that I was interested in renting to ensure it was the correct size. Steven escorted me to the unit, assisted me in measuring the space and upon confirmation the space would work for my storage needs, I proceed to rent the unit. He keeps the property clean and watches out for abnormalities regarding storage units. While we were on vacation, Steve called to let us know that my husband put the lock on the door incorrectly, which made it available for anybody to open it. We weren’t coming home for a few days and there was no one available for to send to re-lock it, so Steve kept an eye on it until we were able to return and lock it correctly. What a great relief when you’re thousands of miles away. I highly recommend this public storage facility And I highly recommend manager Steve. Thank you for watching over our stuff for the last year.

I’ve learned that people are not always what they appear to be.🙁

Glad we found a facility near by. The property is clean & well kept. When we got confused trying to find our unit Steve came out and showed us which way to go & what to do! He is very friendly also advised us to downloading the app for more convenience. Thanks Steve!

I loved the service at this place! The facility is quite clean and organized, and I was able to get set up very quickly. I got signed up, moved in my stuff, and got out very quickly. The staff member, Steven, was particularly helpful. He answered all of my questions with an extremely friendly and helpful attitude. As someone who has never used a storage service before, I am sold. Steven and Public Storage have a great thing going on here. Highly recommend to everyone in the Chicago/Evanston/Skokie area.

I was looking for a small space to rent for a few month and Steven the property manager was WONDERFUL! Very pleasant, helpful, and even went out of his way to show me the unit. Unfortunately, the entire property is not climate controlled, but Steven was able to find a property near by that was. Of the several storage facilities we toured, Public Storage was the most economical both in cost and style. They are not the cleanest or most buttoned up, but the prices are competitive.
