I have had wonderful experience with this public storage location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their attitude and support helped my storing experience. I appreciate Michele helped me move in and she showed my unit and found the lock was kinda stuck in the way so she offered me a new unit and kept all my discounted rates. I give the actual Public Storage facility with Kyle the manager a 5plus star review. That is the star rating above. There was no way to specifically review on line booking and customer care/service. But I give Public storage phone customer service a 1 star review and that is what I
Am going to discuss in the narrative. It has no Reflection on actual facility on Redwood rd nor Kyle. Again this a review regarding on line booking/phone customer care/service and on line booking.
The phone customer Service for Public Storage is horrible. I booked a unit on line with a July 30th move in confirmed with the property manager on site. I was at the facility ready to move in and the property manager told me my reservation was cancelled four days prior no reason noted and he could not make it active. He provided the Customer Care phone number for Publiic Storage and I called. After over 30 minutes on hold I spoke to a representative. I Provided them with my confirmation number and the price secured for the unit. I was told they cancelled it but I could rebook it same location same unit for over $200.00 more a month. I received no notice, email or phone call regarding the same. After over 2 hours on the phone and two female representatives one being named rah rah. the bottom line was tey did not know why it got cancelled 4 days prior without notice but it was now gone.Only option provided was make a new reservation for over $200.00 a month same size unit.
No more needs to be said. Beware if you make online reservations or talk with customer service/care.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Michelle on Monday. She was the friendliest clerk I’ve ever come across at the Redwood Road facility. I just felt good vibes from her, especially since she welcomed me first! She’s not there all the time, unfortunately. She even was able to get me a rate discount.
Kyle is also a good clerk there. He’s just a workhorse. He quietly and constantly keeps working, but if you talk to him, he is really friendly, too. He also changed a burned out bulb in my unit. I’m very grateful for that.

I visited two storage facilities. Both were clean, well managed, and similar in price. I had two great options to choose from. After leaving the second facility I happened to pass by Public Storage on Redwood in Castro Valley so I went in and was immediately greeted by Malika. It was equally clean and well kept as the previous two but slightly higher in price per month. What made this location stand out from the rest was the superior customer service. Malika was hands down the deciding factor on where I eventually chose to store my valuable belongings. Malika was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make my experience seamless and quick. She provided the kind of customer service you rarely see nowadays. I have no problems whatsoever spending a little bit more for great service. It was worth every penny. Thank you so much Malika.

Nicky is the best ever she goes beyond the call of duty. She wa there for me when I left my key in Stockton waited while locksmith came cut off the lock so could put my things in storage. Just moved out here to Castro Valley and downsized in house, I had so much extra junk that I had to get some storage space. I went in person to this Public Storage and spoke with Kyle, he was the most enthusiastic person I have ever met. Love the environment and will keep my space here as long as I can!

I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy the leasing process was. Georgia was informative, efficient, and easy to work with. She has a great attitude. My only issue is how expensive my unit is. They say it's market pricing. Whatever. Great management, seems safe (no problems ever), and it's clean.

I have had a storage unit at Public Storage in Castro Valley for a few years now and it has been a pretty satisfactory situation. For the past two years it has been a little difficult to get in touch with management, but we can blame it on the awful plague the world has been experiencing. I recently had to double my storage space and dealt with Kyle to make the change and he has been AWESOME every step of the way. He assisted me in making the change effortless and I really appreciate his friendly demeanor and helpful ways. People like Kyle make the difference! Thanks!!

hello reviewers, hope all is well, i just want to take a min of your read time to let you guys know about my amazing experience at this business facility. i and my family moved out of state but i wanted to lock up a bunch of stuff so At first, I was a bit lost, this is my first time looking around for storage units and trying this one as my first was a great choice in my opinion. I've heard a lot of good things about public storage spaces but that means nothing if it's your first time, when I walked in I was greeted and helped by the nicest employee by the name of KYLE . he let me know how it all worked in order to acquire space, helped me chose the right size boxes & lock that was available within this clean facility and even pointed me in the right direction to which size of space that I needed. it definitely made me feel welcomed and in the right hands, customer service was amazing, and I know it's not often you see a good review be posted here on google but seriously he was incredibly helpful, no cap. I'd definitely be recommending this place to my friends and other people as a place to go for storage spaces
Chelsea is the best. Very accomodating and really explained everything well. I just planned to inquire and shop and compare for other storage companies but due to her friendliness, and expertise I did not need to inquire for other companies instead rented one right away.
From the time I moved in up to now, Kyle has been so helpful, professional and going beyond the call of duty to make sure my belongings were safe and secure. Thank you!!
