I’ve had a great experience with this Public Storage location. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. What really stands out is the excellent customer service. Karen in the office is incredibly helpful and amazing. She is always friendly, professional, and quick to address any issues or questions. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Overall, this is a great place for storage, and having someone like Karen there makes the experience even better. Highly recommend this location!
Droppings everywhere
TL;DR Karen is the best!!!! This place is accessible and clean and well maintained. I don’t think I’ll ever go for an outdoor storage unit again. But I panic reserved an extra unit and needed help fixing my mistake. She helped me and made it easy.
The details:
I messed up and she was so helpful in getting things set straight. We are in the process of preparing to move but we don’t have a place to live quite yet. So we are preparing by getting everything into storage so we can fix and sell our house. Timing is everything and having all the stuff out and safe and secure is one less thing to worry about. This means we needed a climate controlled unit and 24/7 access. It may be a little pricey but it’s worth the peace of mind. I realized we needed a second unit and saw there was only one of the largest units available so I rushed to complete the reservation on the app on a Sunday only to realize it was in a different building and definitely not climate controlled. I should have paid more attention but I rushed myself. We were all very tired from moving things and trying to make it all fit in one unit (we managed but it’s not organized or accessible, which is obviously only a short term solution). We did not access the new unit and just decided to contact management on Monday. My husband thought he had to be there in person to fix things, which was really inconvenient being that we currently reside 3 hours away. This is near where we plan to move so it’s ideal for when we find a place. But currently going during the hours when management is available is difficult at best. So when I called and talked to Karen I was able to get the mistaken reservation cancelled with a pending refund. Then I was able to reserve the unit I actually meant to get, even though it was a bit smaller. Sure that means I had to get charged again and I have to wait until my refund comes back to me, but it was my error and I’m not being penalized. I have enough saved to make this okay and an agreeable compromise that prevents me from having to make a 6 hour round trip drive just to transfer units. I couldn’t be happier! Now I have a second unit ready for me when I will be able to go things organized next week.

Location is good but i had a unit for business purposes and they would increase my rate every 2-3 months. I was paying $300+ for a 10X10 unit - moved to another location that was a fraction of the price AND is indoor.
Each time I visit this property I see the manager Alex working hard to keep the place in clean and in good shape. The rope handle on my storage space was frayed and dry rotted. Alex noticed and replaced it for me without me even having to ask. The prices have gone up over the years, understandable, but it's the great service that keeps us here as a renter long term.

Great experience so far! Sydnie and Karen were kind and accommodating when I initially had questions about the unit size I was interested in. I'm a visual person and they allowed me to see a unit to help me make me decision, which felt supportive.
I admit that at first I was hesitant to use the app but decided to give it a try. I've had to do several trips and truly appreciate the ease and efficiency of using the app. No problems accessing my unit, with the lock provided, or moving my items in on multiple days.
Moving can be stressful but using Public Storage has been a smooth process for me overall. I feel confident that I could reach out with any questions or concerns if needed. The employees have been communicative, informative, and helpful. Thank you!
Needed a storage unit close to the new location I was moving to, the distance is perfect. Was very easy to work with the staff (Karen) and even informed me that my own renter's insurance should cover the unit, which is great news. Haven't had any issues with the unit or moving stuff in and don't forsee issues as the app helps with the essentials like paying my bill and accessing my unit with property codes and Bluetooth connection to gate controls. Simple and hassle free.

Good move-in experience
I advise to look into getting a unit when they have deals/discounts and also shop different locations. At one location I was quoted almost double what I’m paying a month. It’s a clean facility, gated, and camera monitored so it feels safe. Great value for storage and the app has a button to open the entrance and exit gate. I was told that the price could change in a few months so, I will update as needed.
Talked with Karen. Because of issues with my "cookies" we had such a hard time completing my reservation. But she stayed on the phone with me throughout the entire process until SHE could see the confirmation. I would give her a 10 if I could.
Absolutely horrible place. They will not work with you what so ever. Especially after jacking up their price from 100.00 a month to 160.00 a month. They would rather pawn off your storage unit then work with you. Go somewhere else

I lost my home after 15 years on the land contract at 15 days to be out my home. And I choose public storage because I had seen the reviews. October 15th 2024 untill April 18th my whole life is being put up for auction. I've always had a problem with this storage every time I will go to try to pay my bill in person no one would be there I would have to sit and wait call and call. I live in Ypsilanti and used to have to pay a ride to come to pay my bill. In December I had a situation with one of your employees that disrespected me over the phone and hung up on me she called me back and apologize so I did not call her supervisor. I feel that I was treated unfairly and then I'm losing all of my belongings this is really hurtful and really truly sad that I did not have a great experience at all with public storage a few times the young lady argued with me saying that she was only riding around to check things out but that was not the case she pulled up with a guy in the car and then open the door I was able to pay my bill. Other occasions that I went I would not be able to get in to pay my bill because I pay with cash.. and also I had all my paperwork birth certificate step certificates and all of my pictures from when my mother passed truly things that were very sentimental to me. I had called several times I would never get an answer at public storage just as of yesterday I called from 9:00 in the morning until 12:00 afternoon a supervisor to call me no one ever returned my call this was devastating and I will not ever come to public storage again in my life and I will and all of my family and friends know how I was treated and I lost everything that I owned this is not fair you guys need to come up with a different situation it is a hardship out here. And for no one to ever be in the office all my experience from October 15 2024 April 18th 2025. I felt that the company should have at least gave me another chance because I did have half of the money to pay but I could not come up with the rest I want to go pay the bill no one's never in the office hurt I am very angry with this company 🤬

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! They start you off with a low rate and slowly climb up. I went from $141 per month up to $218. It's crazy and only for the 10X10. Furthermore, I happened to close out on the 1st of the month which automatically triggered another months payment. I called and tried to talk to someone to no avail. The only other option was chat. When you log in it takes 4-5 minutes for someone to connect. I missed them like 2 times because I ended up getting busy and forgetting to check with chat so I lost them. Finally, after pleading with them to please forgive that last payment since I missed the date by one day there was no mercy, ZERO! After being with them for more than 2 years I was just a number that "should have read the entire fine print agreement". My experience with the smaller companies was that you actually deal with a human being who is not by the letter of some long winded fine print agreement written by attorneys to ensure they win. Ultimately what lead me to close out were the cheaper prices at other companies and being able to deal with someone.

Removing the onsite employees removes the much needed customer service. I had to call the branch to inquire about a move out and they got back to me 2-3 days after. Shame it cost me another month of payments if they had someone to respond quicker.

I've had a unit here for several years now, and the only negative thing is they go up on the rent often.
Today I'm changing my review had the pleasure of speaking with Chris he was very kind and courteous he listened to my concerns and addressed them he explained I had been given incorrect information which was very helpful I've been with public storage since 1999 when my daughter started at the university of Michigan even after she graduated college I used them its a blessing when a company hears you and reachs out prior to my previous review I was 100 percent satisfied and thanks to Chris I'm 100 percent satisfied again I appreciate you taking time out to call me I highly recommend public storage they will listen to your concerns always clean and safe

The company placed a temporary lock on it until they brought in a lock, and within 24 hours the lock was on the ground and all of her stuff was gone! The company then said their unit is in a “blind spot” with the cameras. Very fishy, do not rent a unit from here. This company should be ashamed!

Initial fees were not properly explained when I called. On my day off check-in, I was unpleasantly surprised with the extra fees I was never told about. Ended up not getting the unit because of it. Huge inconvenience.
