Ali was very helpful and courteous.
Now that the app can actually be used to open the gates makes the whole vist way better. It would be nice if there was a way to reach someone in the office when you need them.
We have had our travel trailer parked here for a couple of years. The rate increases became unsustainable - so we decided in January 2026 that we would be moving our property at the end of January to avoid the rate increase set to take effect, pushing us to over $300. Then freezing temps paired with the winter storm of ice rolled in. We attempted to get our trailer out (personally attempting to shovel), the parking lot was only minority plowed, and a feet of thick ice preventing us from moving our trailer on at our rental space. Alejandra was amazing at assisting us, she tried reaching the DM to no success then gave me Keith the district managers phone number -- in an attempt to have him remove the snow/ice on his property so that we could move. He never responded. I called three times, left voicemails. He indirectly responded to Alejandra who then reached out to me - letting me know that because of the condition of the lot that Public Storage York Rd would reimburse us for the month of February, and when we were able to come move the trailer when inches of ice was gone they would credit us. It is now 2/19, we are picking up the trailer to be moved (because temps melted the ice allowing us to move the trailer), and I am told that Keith wanted me to move my trailer last weekend and now won't reimburse. Keith at no point treated us properly, never spoke to me personally at any point, and then had a secret requirement that wasn't relayed to us as clients after an agreement had been made. Overall, I would love to hear from Keith's supervisor. This was bad business and extremely poor management of a facility that cost an arm and leg to park in.

One Star – Unfair Pricing for Existing Customers
The rent at this Public Storage location has increased multiple times in just a few months. My unit went from $45 → $66 → $91 with no improvements and no explanation. These increases are extremely aggressive and unreasonable.
What’s worse is that new customers are paying much less for the exact same size unit at the same location, while loyal tenants like me are charged almost double. This feels like a bait-and-switch business model—cheap prices to lure people in, then rapid rent hikes once you’re locked in.
I tried to address the issue, but the pricing remained unfair.
I cannot recommend this location, and I strongly suggest anyone considering Public Storage to be cautious.

Do Not rent a storage here your furniture will have mouse droppings on them , I’ve even seen a dead mouse in the hallway. They have expensive fees and they will increase the monthly rent on you.
They are nice people. The only concern I have is everytime my husband goes to make a payment nobody seems to be in the office, it's becoming stressful because then y'all want to add late fees. Why should we have to keep paying late fees because of y'all employees being lazy and don't come into the office. The app even glitches, can't make a payment through the app neither. I honestly wouldn't refer anyone here until some things get in order at the Public Storage on York Rd.

Tried to get my refund for a locker that I could not get into. Made several attempts and was told I would only get the refund for the lock because I didn’t cancel the same day. I tried repeatedly calling to get assistance with no answer. Why was I given a refund for a lock I never used, which meant I cancelled the locker. Will not use again! Thanks to Extra Storage Space for helping with this problem.
I left at least 3 messages while standing in front of the locker and canceled the service. Still on hold again. SMH
Spoke to an associate about reservations . He explained the process and said I could do it on line. Reserved a locker on line paid what was required. When I arrived I was unable to get in the office or my locker. No one was available in the office or answered the telephone. I’m currently in the process of trying to request a refund but of course no answer on the phone.

Most public storages close at 9pm. This one closes at 6pm. Which makes it difficult for people who get off around 5pm to get to storage. Just FYI when you're considering a place to store your items.
On top of having to come early there are barely any carts. I've been here waiting 30 minutes for someone to bring a cart to use and who knows how much longer itll be thats if they even return the cart to the front. Additionally sections of the facility are not available to me so if all the carts are in one section ...I'm out of luck. I cannot recommend this facility. It's definitely inconvenient and does not follow the same protocol as other public storage facilities.

It’s a constant increase in price but no updates to the facility. It’s rodent infested and they do nothing to solve the problem. Definitely would NOT recommend , it’s better places worth the money.
I’m writing to sing the praises of your newest manager to that facility, first name Alejandra. I am in awe of this young woman and the way she goes about tackling the problems surrounding her job. She takes a personal interest in making sure that the problems of the patrons and the faculty are properly addressed.
I have been a patron of Public Storage both here in Baltimore, MD and New Castle, Delaware since 2014. At the Baltimore facility located at 4343 York Road I have seen managers and staff come and go. I have witnessed water damaged and rodent infestation damaged to my unit throughout the years with no corrections to the issues.
Take for instance, the only restroom at that facility had a broken hand drying machine on the wall for years until she came in and fixed it. Now, when you use the restroom there is always soap, toilet paper, a trash can, running hot and cold water, and a working hand dryer machine.
For the second time since I’ve been a patron at this facility there has been water damage to the building and the units. She oversaw and helped to facilitate the clean up of that site. I saw her work diligently for months to remove the water from the building and moisture from the air, to properly dispose of damaged items and to compensate those patrons that were affected.
She is a caring person who empathizes with patrons and instinctively knows when someone is going through more than they can handle. She even contacted the manager of my Delaware storage unit to help me resolve a problem there.
I can sing her praises all day long if you let me, but there are few people who deserve to be rewarded for the outstanding work ethic they possess and the positive impact they have on the people who use your business. If there is a bonus to be had, she deserves it, and if there is a promotion to be given, she has earned it. This one is a keeper for sure and she will always make your company proud that you hired her.

Alejandra and Shanae were awesome. They were extremely flexible and professional during our interaction. It is clear that they value customer input and strive to adhere to the values of the company. I could not have asked for better representatives to deal with. I definitely would recommend asking for them when visiting this location.

It has been 8 months without lights, I have notified the service staff 6 times, no one is responsible, it cannot be used, and I need a flashlight every time. It makes people feel very angry!
We stored our 21 foot camper at 4343 York Road for about a month in the summer. We had an excellent experience. The gate code always worked. Our camper was never touched. Plus the people I spoke to on the phone were as nice as they could be. Highly recommend.

I rented a storage space for just under 3 months. I went in to get something when I realized my things had mold. I asked Alexandra if I should move spaces and she replied she believes it’s the humidity in the entire building. If y’all know your building his bad humidity and it floods frequently, why are y’all still allowing people to rent units. What makes it even worse, the insurance company they use only allots 250$ with a $100 deductible. I have thousands of dollars in damages. Very disappointed in Public Storage.

Alexandra, the manager is very efficient and nice. She will make sure that you have the best deal on your storage room. The facilities are clean and I'm glad I made the choice to store my belongings here.
I have seen Herbert deal with so much at this property, yet he is still able to provide outstanding customer service. I haven't ran into many as knowledgeable about Public storage and how to best service us. Continue being great even when your superiors don't acknowledge.

I've been with them for about a year and the price of the storage keeps going up. I'm almost paying double!!!!!!!! I received a reply from the owner he was going to speak with his employees. That was last week. Wow!!!! I will update what happens. Stay tuned!!!
My experience was wonderful at York Road public Storage, Ashley was very professional, well experienced and informative about the app and the operations on of the facility. The units are clean secure with easy access, the bathroom is also clean, i rented a 10x15 and yes there is a elevator.
Terrible mice and public storage do not show sympathy. I have contacted corporate about this issue and still no response. It's so bad that I'm scared to enter the unit. I have to wear mask and gloves whenever I do decide to enter. The manager told me to file a insurance claim for any damages.
Misha was very helpful and knowledgeable about the units. She walked me through the whole rental process. I was just browsing the area and wanted to know the rates.

I never got my "first month for $1". I moved in late in the month, and they charged me for a full month, then again for a full month on the first. $48/month for a 5 x 5.
My rent has gone up $20 every year. It's now $88/month, (not $80, as advertised), which I find excessive, and takes advantage of vulnerable people who would surely prefer to have all of their stuff at home with them if they could.
Prices go up way to often no deals for existing customers when renting additional units, hallways smell like urine, units get broken into and tampered with often as if someone continues to attempt to break in.50/50 chance of elevator working,, carts are a courtesy as they say and are most of the time locked in someones storage unit,, Bring your own.. I am definitely working on vacating this place. STAFF IS NICE WHICH IS THE ONLY PLUS

They charged me for EVERYTHING & the unit was difficult to find. I want provided any carts. Also, the lighting was very poor. It was freezing in the unit; I could see my breath. I feel ripped off. I brought my own P.S. lock & they didn't provide anything to prevent humidity issues. The only elevator won't come back down if it's propped open. I didn't feel safe with random lingerers, on the upper level, amidst the unit & van I offloaded from. I would change my review if I were properly reimbursed or given credit & they get carts.
