These folks are very aggressive with the rent increases. They may give you are great rate to move in, Then Wham! I started paying between $200 -$300. After a couple of months the raised it to over $500/ month. Careful with them, aside from a good move quote. Get a commitment on the rent.

Once again, the gate is broken and can't get into my storage since 530. Yesterday? December 11th 2025.
Want to see if the gate was fixed? No, it is not fixed and no. The office is not open to let us do the walking gate at least can't even do that.

Big ups to the Manny, the onsite Manager. Excellent customer service, as always! Just made it at closing. Yet, I didn't feel rushed nor was I pushed out to come another day. My payment was processed immediately. There were several issues that I needed clarification; Manny was able to address each one of them with clarity.

1> a long, complicated, impossible to read contract in under 4 hours
2> numerous surcharges for insurance etc
3> different pricing for web and in person. I lost the web price by completing the rental with customer service over the phone.
4> poorly staffed on site
5> i went to the location on start date and there was no manager to complete rental. (I had set a start date earlier than my move in date since rentals need to be done less than 2 (?) weeks out.) A message was left with managers posted number. No response. Had to leave. Call returned 2 days later. Luckily the start date was before the actual move date and I was there only to set up some shelving in prep for the move
6> It turns out that information such as gate codes, billing etc is sent by text from an anonymous sender which anyone who desires to have their phone not be hacked would delete immediately. Which I do. It turns out that I eventually did get an email with the gate code some time after the start date.
7> Called to customer service again to have a transfer to a different space to be completed by an on-site manager on the move in day. An appointment was made via customer service to meet the on-site manager at 2pm on the day of the move. I specifically asked customer service "Are you sure that someone will be there?". Assurances were given
8> I reserved the new space on line complete with a reservation number which I printed out to show the on-site manager on the day-of
9> I arrive on the move day with a full truck load in 100+ degree direct sun. NO MANAGER present. No AC in the truck (not public storage's fault). A message was left with managers number as displayed on the locked and empty office door. No response. Call to customer service said that they would notify district manager. No call back. Call again to customer service which gave me a number for the district manager. The number was useless without an extension. The message said dial 0 for the operator. Dial 0 and get "invalid entry". Try 3rd call to customer service and ask for supervisor since customer service seems to be working off of a script. It is still over a 100+ degrees in a hot open concrete. Cannot get supervisor. I finally got hung up on by customer service after losing and regaining my temper. Finally Stefanie from another location altogether (Belmont CA) called and actually came over to take care of the problems. She deserves a huge bonus for taking care of the failures

Gate was broken for several months. Wasn’t able to access my storage. Wasn’t given any discount or refund because of the inconvenience. Was already paying $300 on rent when they increased Rent by $85 dollars from one month to the next without any written notice, even though I couldn’t access my unit. There’s no customer service support. Personnel were not helpful. Was overcharged with No prorated refund. Charged $385 for the same unit currently available for $120.
Terrible place, they were closed for more than 2 months without being able to enter by car, only on foot, they did not give any discount, I delivered the place on the 1st of the month and they charged for the entire month and you rent at one price and they raise it after 2 or 3 months without notice because it says it's in your contract, they are very liars, terrible place
We needed a storage in a hurry for a family member and the manager was there. She was quick and completed everything in 15 min or less. The storage was clean. She did not try to oversell us a larger space. We used the app and its easy. When it was time to move out it was also easy. We have used other public storage before and did not have a good experience so we are happy with this one.

My son and I rented at this location, we always enjoy going in. the office because of the warm welcome of the Property Mgr Maribeth, she always greet us with smile and helped us on our storage needs. The gate has been broken for nearly three months. There is no anticipated date to fix it and they are not offering any compensation to current renters. They are charging full price for a service they cannot provide.
I would avoid this location and look for alternatives.
The gate does not work. The employees promise that the gate will be fixed one day. They've been saying that for two weeks. This is not why I got a storage unit with car access to manually lug everything back and forth. It's horrible.
Neither my friend or I got the deal they have advertised forever: $1.00 for first month. I was told because I got the last 10x10 unit. What? So that equals no deal now? My friend was told he had to make reservation online to get the deal. Not everyone is computer friendly. No paper receipts or paper contracts given; told it's all on the app u need to download. Not true, I still haven't seen contract online. They don't break down the payments like late fees or storage payment and administration fees. Late payment is $55.40 on day 12; payment due on the 1st for everyone. I get text messages a nd calls regularly about rent due, but when rent increased $50.00 on 1 Jan 2024, I was not informed of it. No txt message, no phone call, nothing in the app that I could find regarding increase. I pay $239.00 for 10x10 unit. A $50.00 increase is for what? They installing carpet, insulation or a toilet in every unit; some kind of upgrade for such a big increase in storage rent. This is the Public Storage on Oddstad in RWC. The place in Belmont seems better. I made a payment there and they gave me receipt when I asked for one.

Unfriendly personal that are never willing to help, I was charged for several months after I had already ask to close my account they still continue to charge me, when I followed up the personal had lie in the system stating that I didn’t vacate the unit.
