Mark was a great help with getting the unit I needed. It was very fast and the site seems quite secure.

Just rented my unit. Mark was super helpful explaining everything I needed to know and answered all my quesrions.

I made my reservation online which was easy. We got an email with the unit number and hours of operation. When we showed up, the office was locked and lights were out. After waiting a bit, we rang the doorbell and then called customer service. After trying multiple times, we finally got in touch with someone and they told us that specific location was APPOINTMENT ONLY, and that they closed at 1:30 on Sunday. LUCKILY, the sweet lady at Issaquah Public Storage was able to approve my identity over the phone so we could get gate access to move in. So, if you rent here, call them before showing up with 2 cars full of stuff. VERY inconvenient, but VERY thankful for Issaquah. I believe her name was Pat and she was the best. If they had an available unit for the price we wanted, we would have headed over there instead. Our unit WAS ready and clean for us to move in. The loading area is not covered and is tiny. You have to block units to unload your things.

I know the individual facilities are not completely responsible for the shady policies of the overlords but thought this would be noticed more than a review of the corporate offices. This is a review more about corporate policy than it is about customer service at the Sammamish facility. But not entirely. As short as I can... We've been renting a unit here for about 9 years. Every 6 months or so, PS increases the monthly rent. I've asked for a couple rate holds over the years which somtimes were granted. Over the past year, my monthly rate has gone up twice and now I'm being charged almost $500 for a medium sized unit. This is twice as much as the going rate for the same size unit. 7 months ago, I was told by the property manager that if I were to rent another unit on the same property that I could get the same rate as a new customer. (I would move my stuff from the current unit to another) I agreed but nothing was available so I've been on a "waiting list" for 7 months. I've seen same sized units become available then occupied several times and have made several attempts to contact the property manager to ask about availability. I get the same answer. Nothing available. Maybe this is policy, maybe the property manager gets commission by renting to new customers. It's a shady business practice. I'm moving to another company this month.

Mark at Sammamish Public Storage is so great to work with. He is transparent, honest, and a great communicator. The facilities are clean and the location is very convenient. I would recommend Sammamish Public Storage to anyone.

Specific to this location, the manager Mark is a pleasure to work with (5 Stars): knowledgeable, resourceful, helpful, ambitious, clean, well-spoken. The grounds are spotless and well-designed: You can see they graded the site specific to insuring water is channeled away, even as there is no water nearby anyway. The parent company has a useful app that works well on smart phones and has a good uniform franchise presence across sites. However, there are horror stories I have read (not personally experienced) at other sites; but most of all they have a greedy rate bump operating system that penalizes long-term users with unrealistic rate hikes: my last rate review resulted in a 25% rate bump over last (45% over original rate, all within a year) and it's not like I'm a heavy duty user or caused them problems to earn their ire and extra charges (I'd give 2 stars here). I urge all people considering storage to multiply the monthly rate x 12 (for a yearly estimate; consider my rate bump experience as well) and then consider if they're better off discarding the goods and saving the money / repurchasing new replacements in time over paying the rent, unless you know for sure you can get the goods out and cancel contract after a short rent duration.

I have been with public storage in Sammamish for years and have had multiple conversations with the manager, Mark has always been helpful. He is definitely an asset to the business.

We had reserved a 10x10 unit, not realizing it was too small for our belongings, but Mark provided us with various options and kindly adjusted our reservation. Mark was exceptionally professional and incredibly friendly throughout the process. I am truly grateful for his meticulous assistance from start to finish. The storage facility is in a great location and exceptionally clean. I highly recommend this place.
