The number one business to get into storage! If you have money and you want to blow it, then build a storage unit. If you have stuff you want to store, try to store your house and not put it in storage. But if you do have to put it in storage and no other options then look around a couple places before you're choosing public storage. They're a huge chain. They have lots of power and lots of money. They will sell your stuff without a bat of an eye if you miss payment SO be careful. But they have clean units most of the time. Mostly rat free with insurance offered. Biggest downfall is you can't get to your stuff between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. your only allowed access during business hrs at most locations. Some offer 24hr units all branch specific
The staff is friendly and super helpful. I really liked the option of indoor climate controlled or drive-up regular outdoor units. I chose and outdoor unit and it was super easy to get the big moving truck right up to the unit door and offload everything directly into the storage unit. The choice of different sized units was helpful and the staff showed me multiple units before-hand so I could be sure which one would work for me. I'm using this as a temporary storage between living arrangements so the month-to-month lease is perfect as well. So far so good!! 👍
Both are units were broken into and ransacked. The locks weren’t broken!!

Update: I had to remove 2 stars due to my unit and several others recently being burgled. We lost about $12,000 worth of items, so needless to say I'm not happy about the complete lack of security on site.
The rest of my review is still the same - the staff is great, and they handled the burglary as professionally as possible. But I wish the Public Storage corporation itself did more to prevent burglaries. After this burglary, I was surprised to find out how common it is - anybody can access most of the property and units anytime during business hours, and the locking mechanisms on the unit doors can very easily be pried open with a screwdriver or pair of pliers. The corporation has no security on site at night, and the cameras only cover the main entrance doors, but none of the hallways where the actual storage units are. So a burglar can simply enter during business hours, wait till the doors lock at 9pm, spend 9 hours going from unit to unit taking whatever they'd like, then leave after 6am once the doors unlock again, all without raising any alarms or being detected whatsoever. A clever burglar could even rent a unit in the building to store all the stolen goods from their neighbors' units, then load up a van the next day with boxes of stolen items, and there's no way they could be detected since there's no security on site to catch them.
When I inspected my unit after the burglary, another woman near my unit said this was her 3rd time being burgled. She said that this time they didn't even pry open her lock but instead simply climbed into her unit from overhead since it's only protected by very thin chicken wire which can easily be pulled up or cut. I was rather shocked to see how easy it is to burgle these units after inspecting them with that in mind.
I still really like the staff here, but I'd simply suggest not storing anything that you care about or anything that has any monetary value. Definitely don't store any jewelry, weapons, documents of any kind, audio equipment, alcohol, video games or other electronics, heirlooms, or anything else you care about keeping.

This Public Storage location has amazing staff members. Scott, Brian, and the other staff here have always been super kind and incredibly helpful whenever I've needed any assistance.
I also love that this location has climate controlled indoor units for a consistent temperature and humidity level. This is particularly important for our antique furniture.
I'm not a fan of the corporation's policies on regularly raising rates for long-time customers, but I'm not taking off a star for that since this location has no control over the corporate policy. In fact, the great staff here were able to push back my rate increase by several months, saving me quite a lot.
If you're looking to store your things either short or long-term, this Public Storage location has a great variety of unit options and a top-tier team.

It's been awhile since this now abbreviated post and 2 star rating created friction at the local site bc it irritated the District Manager T.B. who dumped on the last Site Manager who then attacked me for posting it. She left soon afterwards. This place has major staff turnover. Can't imagine why.

They increase your rent regularly to get more money or get you to leave. They are now charging me double the price of a new unit of the same size at the same location. I already spent a weekend changing units in the past, and now I need to go do it again. I either spend an extra thousand this year or give days of my one and only life shuffling gear. They do not care which one you choose.
My unit was broken into - the doors are easy to pry open.
No garbages anywhere.
This stuff is not an issue with local management - they have always been great. These are all corporate accounting decisions to use cheap doors, save money on garbage disposal, and squeeze customers for rent.
Had no problem finding the location after driving across the state from Spokane. The unit was ready for me and the only challenge was the elevator. Scott was there to help me out and once I knew the "trick" to operating the elevator, the move in went smoothly.
Used these guys for years. Always a clean facility, simple rules, useful carts, plenty of options for space, lots of access times.
My unit leaks from the ceiling. When I informed the manager he told me that he couldn’t do anything about it and that they aren’t liable because I didn’t get the insurance

Hands down the best experience I've had with a storage facility. We just had a nightmare move where our stuff didn't fit in our storage pods & had to quickly get storage units. Rented a unit here for about 6 months, great service. Its clean and secure, and the staff was always so helpful. This place gave me peace of mind while storing my belongings.
Used this location for about a month and a half while moving between homes, and it was perfect! Royce was wonderful and made sure I was nice and set up with my unit, and he was there to ensure I was good to go when finishing up my time with them.
Building was well kept and clean, they have carts available to use, and a nice open window of hours to access your unit with an app that made getting through the gates an absolute breeze. Having this unit really smoothed out my moving process and made it significantly less stressful.

Fantastic service, Scott had me test to make sure my app could open the gate before taking me up to my unit to get the key and lock, and also tips on how to open and close the sliding door. Great facility, very cleans, with carts to use, and available staff (restroom access too when staff aren’t showing a customer something) and they also sell boxes. Reasonable hours of 6am to 9pm.

The hype is well-deserved! I recently rented a unit here and Ian and Royce are the nicest people you could hope to work with. Ian truly operates at a level most of us can never hope to achieve, he’s clever and quick and compassionate and will go above and beyond to make sure his customers are well-served. It’s rare to have this level of customer service in any industry these days. I felt truly cared for and represented. If you are going to use Public Storage for your storage needs, I highly recommend this location!
This is my second time using Public Storage and I just moved all of my things to this location. The employees, Ian and Royce, were incredibly helpful and friendly both in person and over the phone. I like the facility and was able to get a storage unit large enough for my needs but at the best price in the area. I feel confident in the security measures being taken, as well as the cleanliness and temperature control in the facility. It’s been easy to pop in and out of my storage unit during my moving process with decent gate access hours.
Royce is extremely kind and thoughtful, patient to listen to what you need. Ian is also knowledgeable and helpful. I feel like my belongings will be safe and secure, plus I feel they care about the people who rent from them.

After an automatic monthly payment was made there was a notice that the rent was going to increase next month. I had been renting just a little over four months now and questioned this. I called PS where my rented unit is and spoke with Royce. He told me that it was good to question this immediately instead of waiting until next month because it's easier to make a payment adjustment before my credit card was charged. My rent will remain the same for another three months and then a possible rent increase will take place.
By the way, when I signed the contract I was told, so I am aware, that the rent may increase. Simply didn't expect it to be so soon.

Put it on auto pay and check your bill every month before it processes or you might be surprised at a 60% increase otherwise our stuff was protected and safe for months and it was overall a decent experience.
We have had a storage unit for our office since July of 2020 and just closed the storage unit this last weekend in December of 2022. Secure units and friendly, helpful, staff, especially Scott.

It was a warm August night on the 31st day of said month. There was sweat and chaos in the air as we struggled to store our precious material possessions at our local Public Storage. Many mishaps had occurred during our trip to this wonderful facility, and we were quite irritable by the time we had arrived. Suddenly a warm, comfortable sensation came over my family and I as we were greeted with love and understanding by an employee named Ian. He said he was newer there, but it honestly felt like he was a veteran of the trade through his immaculate customer service skills and patius. When we left, we didn’t know what had happened but we were all relieved of our stress that had built during the day. We found ourselves truly happy with our decision to use this facility, and that is all due to your employee Ian’s attention to detail and bravery while navigating through our menagerie of belongings. Thank you Public Storage for hiring such incredible employees, but especially for welcoming the kind hearted, and dedicated soul of Ian.
Service is great, staff is awesome. Secure building. One guy had some weird views about transformers though, watch out for him. No really, great staff.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. Increased my monthly rate by over 50% due to bogus market rates. Do not rent from this horrendous location
My partner and I have been customers at this location for 13 years. This weekend, we finally cleared out our stuff. Teal, Naomi, and Jason were amazing! All three were friendly, helpful, and professional. Our move was complicated and messy, but they were so accommodating and kind. Thank you all! Just a note to the company: your policy on not prorating is not fair. We went over by two days and had to pay for the whole month!
The slide lock mechanism on one of my units was jammed and had to be jimmied and then replaced. Teal and Naomi were on it and had the slide replaced in no time. I’m sorry they had to work on a holiday (Memorial Day), but their attitudes and professionalism were extraordinary and I really appreciated the help they gave.
I want to thank Teal for helping solve a issue no one else could.

Teal was very helpful and met all my needs as I planned Nan’s rented space at the PS on 196th St in Lynnwood. Her customer service was great as she juggles several customers at once.
UPDATE: after 6mos they raised the rent 28.57%!
Good or any service has been spotty at best.
The storage facility is clean and safe, and the onsite management team responsive to questions. I do caution about their rate adjustments. The first one we received was a nearly 10% increase after just three months after moving in, the second one occurred one year later (now) and is nearly a 30% increase over the previous rate. It is also quite a bit higher than the currently advertised website rate. They declined my appeal for an adjustment or to match the advertised rate on their website. This is an unfortunate business practice. I recommend it for short term rentals (less than three months), but do a bit more research if you're looking for a longer term rental.
Teal is her name, and excellent professionalism and understanding of needs is her game. She represents the company very well in my opinion. I was to ship a 20ft container to the facility to then unload it into a unit. Teal personally showed me all locations to do such, and was very helpful in the process. I also could tell she took her job seriously and interacted with her colleagues very well too. Everyone did a great job there.
