UPDATE (to 3-stars): After I left this review they did call me and give me a discounted price, which helped. It's unfortunate that that's what it took. But I guess that's the way their industry goes. Just know that will likely happen with any storage unit you rent anywhere. I have been here two years and never had my unit broken into (although others have...I think I've been lucky). If you can afford to do inside, your stuff might be safer. Just be aware in case you have valuables. Old review (1 star): I was sucked in by the low $99 per month rate which was super competitive but was there only three months and my rate went up to $126 automatically and THEN a few months later it went up to $150 per month. Ugh. So be sure you get an annual contract if you're going to be there for more than a few months. Now I'm looking into options to move. So lame when you'd think they'd want to keep a good customer who pays automatically on time each month rather than having to fill the space again with another new low introductory rate.

Got my storage broken into and all my stuff was stolen and they giving me a hard time paying for my stuff

Will raise the rent every 6 months. I was loading a trailer and needed a cart. There wasn't anyone there at the posted opening time. It took me an extra hour to load the trailer without a cart. The office was still not open when I left. Two hours after scheduled opening.

You should consider burying anything of importantce in the ground Public storage has the worst customer service. They charge more and more without explanation. Then give you no bathroom to use and if you don't have business done at 9 expect to wake up at 5 to hopefully have your possessions still there. If you read these words it gets worse. Find A different option.

Teresa is a rock star! She may be new to the job but she’s an old pro! I appreciated all of her help this weekend. I also love this Public Storage location. I only meant to rent for a short period of time but due to unforeseen circumstances I was there much longer. But I have had nothing but great service accessing my unit and have had all my questions answered. The only issue I have had was with the price going up twice since originally renting but I understood that was universal across all public storages and my location did all they could to stave off the price increases for as long as possible on each occurrence.

Meigan is very friendly and knowledgeable. She had to do it twice because I wanted one with the $1 first month special. The unit I chose did not have that. So she had to find one that did have it and redo it. She wasn't upset about it at. I hope to see her again. If I ever have to rent another unit I hope she is there again.

I've used this facility for many times for over 20 years and I recommend them for all of your storage needs.

This location was the second place I was looking for a storage unit and I had to look no further! Theresa answered all the questions I had promptly, patiently, and very kindly with a smile! She was very helpful while she was multitasking and helping other customers close to closing time and made it important to help me find my unit!

Need a cart or assistance in finding a cart to move your heavy stuff on a hot day? Well, don't look any further, you're not going to get any assistance from the employees here. If customers leave all the carts on the second; third floors and you have access to only the first floor, well, don't look any further for assistance, you're not going to get any. If you ask for assistance to find a cart on the other floors while no other customers are accessing storage at the same time as you, well, good luck and come back another day and ponder about this inconvenience and your life choices in signing up for a storage unit at Public Storage (formerly Life Storage).

Very disappointed, my unit was broken into last week on the 9/1/21. They took TVs, tore my couch, took my dining table, broke some picture frames, and much more. It’s sad because we have a 10digit code to get in and rent goes up every 6months. You would think it is safe but unfortunately your stuff isn’t. Police said the lady up front stated the cameras were not working during the day; how convenient. Apparently 3 other units were broken into as well. This had to have been an inside job or someone who rents from them. Get out of there ASAP, your stuff is not safe.

I was shocked at how great the customer service was. When I showed up, my reserved unit was unavailable, and the people at the front desk upgraded me to a better unit for the same price right then and there! It's been super quick and easy to get my things into my unit and I couldn't be happier.

Its Thanksgiving, and hectic as it is to move and find adequate storage, Cathy gave sound input in getting best spatial benefit at the best price. Once the rez was made. Joaquin rendered customer service focus. Although, he had just finished processing a customer while delaying his lunch break, when I walked in - He continued to delay his break to escort me through the facility and ensure I had the right storage dimensions for my needs. I had a very good experience with renting my storage . Brian and Cathy made it so easy and pleasant despite being stressed out about the move. I have comparison with other Public Storage nearby and it was not a perfect there , again due to the person I was dealing with. She was not nice on a phone and not much better in person. I will always rent a storage managed by Brian and Cathy based on their exceptional customer service performance. I will recommend this place to everyone because on the end of the day space is the same everywhere but people make it special.

Okay. So the five stars is for the customer service i recieved. First time getting a storage unit and it was by far one of the beat experiences I ever had. The only down side of this place is the heat when you go inside (obviously its texas) but the lighting and the fans do make a huge difference. Its pretty comveniently located, and on a decent side of town. I'd ask for Cathy, shes a real sweet heart.

If it isn't broke, don't fix it! and with all these newer, 'state of the art' storage places with too many rules, regs, and higher prices because of 'bells and whistles', it is just nice to have a good old fashioned storage place! and this is exactly what Public Storage and Cathy, provide. The online reservation and express check-out was simple and fast. No hidden 'gotcha' pricing when I arrived to check-in. VERY affordable for the size I needed. Just a few minutes to do paperwork and I had my gate code and was on my way! The property is clean, well lit and managed! Storage shouldn't be complicated and this place keeps it nice and simple!

Good safe place to store your things. Very friendly staff and services. They offer insurance for your items and they have climate controlled units as well as open spaces for your car, boat, or RV etc. Only down fall is you can't access the facility after 9 pm....

Had many units broken into. Didn't inform us about the break-ins until eventually after ours was broken into. No security cameras on site except for the entrance. Thieves came through a hole in the fence that Public Storage knew about and had not yet fixed even after repeated burglaries of many units. I spoke with one other tenant on the day I moved out after one of our units had been broken into and the guy had not been notified of any of the incidents either. They also wouldn't give us any kind of discount or prorated rent to help ease the pain.

I would highly recommend this Public Storage location to anyone needing one in San Antonio. Cathy is most knowledgeable & as helpful as anyone we've ever been in contact with! She showed us the unit we needed according to size we requested upon our first visit. It was spotless!!! When we returned a week later to fill out our paperwork & pay for it, she was most helpful & efficient with all the information we needed in a very expedient manner. We have rented small units from different Public Storage facilities in the past, & I must say this far exceeds them all as far as location, management, size & cleanliness! We are well satisfied & couldn't ask for more! Thank you Cathy!!!

I moved my stuff out of unit but was paid up for another full month, wanted to keep unit in case I needed it during that month, someone from this location called me and talked me into closing out account for this unit saying I would be refunded payment for following month, he lied, I never received refund! Lost a full month! Bad business practice to lie to customers! Won't use Public Storage again!

When you rent the unit. They ask you then to please put a review on Google. This is ridiculous. I see all these good reviews when this place gets constantly broken into. We rented in early December, and by mid January our unit had been broken into twice. My fiancé at the time and I reset to be married in February. Now we are married but we are missing several wedding gifts that we had put in storage because we simply didn’t have room at the house. We filed to police reports and are just now filing insurance. The second time it happened they failed to inform us that it got broken into. When I arrived it was obvious that we broken into, the lady said that yes but not in this building. It was obvious because our latch was ripped off the door with our luck still attached and laying on the floor inside the unit. The property manager said she had no idea That our unit got broken into, but the latch was replaced with their lock on it. This place is very fishy and I recommend you do the research and find a place that is reputable and secure

Working with Cathy at this location has truly put my mind at ease; she was so helpful, informative, and professional, and never made me feel like she was trying to “sell” me something. It was a genuinely enjoyable experience picking out my storage unit with her, and I feel so comfortable knowing my possessions will be safe and taken care of at Public Storage. My unit was BROKEN INTO & TRASHED twice in one week. Over 60 units were broken into within last month alone. RUN AWAY! DO NOT leave your belongings here unless you don't care to see it again. NOT WORTH IT!!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS!!!!!!!!!

Please do NOT rent from this place. It constantly gets broken into. There are thieves that know how easy it is to get into this place. The management and Public Storage have done nothing except just replace broken parts and not actually fix the security problem. The district manager says that they have fixed the problem, and they came and broke into my unit for a second time. They do not care if your items get stolen. I was told by the district manager that it doesn't matter, ask any storage unit place and there will be break ins, it is inevitable and it will happen no matter what. Please do not bring your belongings here. I lost thousands of dollars worth of items, and priceless items that I will never get back. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SECURITY OF YOUR ITEMS. if they did, they would have deterred these criminals. The first time they broke in they hit 10 climate controlled units. The SAME PEOPLE came back 3 nights later and hit 17 units. It was so sad to see everyone go through their things and see what had been stolen from them.

Nice facility, but beware even though the people that run the facility are nice this is owned by a large corporation. You will be signing a predatory contract which means that the rent will be go up annually without you knowing about it. We're paying about seventy percent more now than when we first got the unit. Just beware a lot of big companies that do an auto payment to do business with them have these kinds of predatory contracts.

This place is amazing! Kathy could not be nicer and easier to work with. It was taking the movers a while to move my stuff in, and we were unsure if it would fit in the size unit I has rented. My daughter was restless and hot and did not have water with me so she went up to her private residence to get something for her to drink. They are just the nicest people who and are so helpful.Cannot recommend enough! Thank you Kathy! :-)

Adequate facility, friendly staff, but questionable neighborhood...thugs like to steal the dollies/carts making it very inconvenient when said items are not available for use. Also watch leaving your vehicle or any belongings unattended....all I'm saying.

A place to store your stuff... office people are nice enough but be aware that it is fairly difficult to pay your bill without upcharges of some sort... and if you happen to try and go by and pay don't give up the first or second try they will hit you for $40 if your late and cut your lock if your a couple weeks late don't think you'll just pay for the last month and this month on the 20 something without having to buy a new lock.... would be 4 or 5 stars if it was more convenient to pay

Her positive personality is definitely an asset to the company and the reason we will continue using this particular location. I was very impressed with the simplicity and customer service with Public Storage. I called the phone number listed and got a winter special price. The sales rep on the phone gave me the manager's phone number said the manager would give me a call shortly. Almost immediately, the manager, Cathy, gave me a call! I went in looking at the storage units. I had my kids with me, and they were pretty cranky. The lady who helped us, Cathy, was so friendly and helpful. She gave me all the information I needed. She gave me information I did not know I needed, but should have asked. She even made my kids laugh, which is hard to do with teenagers. I am not planning on moving until this Summer, but I would go back here just because Cathy was so helpful.

This is a great storage place. Very clean and well kept climate controlled units. The employees are very nice and professional there. I made a reservation online, than went into to pay and check in to my unit. Melissa helped me by showing me the property and the unit she was very friendly and polite. This storage facility would be a place to recommend except that they refuse to move the access keypads so you do not have to get out of your car to enter your code each time you enter or exit. It certainly does not support disabled people or anybody that uses a walker or such. By the time you get back in your car the gate is coming back. It is also an inconvenience when it is cold or rainy.

I needed storage for an emergency, and I'm glad I chose this Public Storage. The manager, Darrel, was extremely helpful, considerate, patient, and ready with a smile! Darrel made sure that I was aware of everything that was happening to make sure that it met with my approval every step of the way; customer service such as this is rare to come by in this day and age. The storage areas are extremely clean and well-maintained--no strange smells, sounds, or creepiness. Not only is my storage room temperature controlled, but the entire portion of the building I was in was very comfortable as well (although it was freezing outside). Don't hesitate to give them a try. Darrel is especially a pleasure to work with; you'll be in good hands with him ;)
